    A Superhero Roleplay

Welcome to the city of Hyperia. It used to be it's just your ordinary metropolis, with one little twist...

    Spoiler:

Not so long ago, Hyperia was protected by a team of five superheroes, the Champions, led by the charismatic Titan. This band of gifted individuals worked tirelessly for nearly a decade to keep their city safe from the clutches of evil.

    However, all that changed.

Around five years ago, the Champions were faced with their most dangerous enemy yet, a powerful mind-controller known as Animatus. Tricked by their foe, the team of heroes vanished into a mysterious vortex, leaving the city of Hyperia unguarded.

Fearing for the safety of Hyperia, the last remaining Champion, Binary, activated a failsafe program that called out to 16 gifted individuals with a an offer:

Become the protectors the city needs.

Criminals and villains swarmed across the city after word of the Champions' disappearance spread, putting the new heroes to the test.

Some rose to the challenge, fighting crime and defending the Hyperians. Others simply walked away, never to be heard from again. Binary worked tirelessly to coordinate his team of strangers and outcasts, and for a brief moment, a new hope shone in Hyperia.

    This was not to last.

While the "New Champions" were spread thin across the city, fighting crime and superpowered foes, the architect of the event made his move. Animatus had taken control of a crucial part of the city: it's government. Undetected by the heroes, he had taken control of the mayor and city council, and with the help of an unknown ally, began changing things to his liking.

It wasn't long before the order came to formally disband the Champions. In it's place, a government-controlled force of metahumans, hand picked by Animatus, was deployed to enforce justice in Hyperia. This meta-force was nothing like the Champions or their young counterparts, and served the will of their master before the law of the land.

Binary, the last remaining Champion, had disappeared. The New Champions had stopped receiving communications from him shortly before the news of their disbanding. With no one to give direction, the team split, and faded back into anonymity, leaving Animatus to have his way with Hyperia. It seemed nothing could stop him. Those who knew of the situation feared for what was to come.

    Darkness fell over Hyperia.

    Back to the Present:

Not many were aware of Animatus' discreet rise to power within the city's inner workings. Even fewer dared oppose him. Those who did were swiftly wiped out by the meta-force.

However, there were those that refused to give in.

Rumors begans to spread throughout the city of a new contender. Known only as "The Resistance", nothing was known about the shadowy organization, other than their goal: rid Hyperia of Animatus and his Meta-Force. And if the rumors were correct, they were in need of allies.

Your character, for whatever reason, has decided to join the Resistance.

That is, if they'll take you.

    Superpowers:

All right, the part you've been waiting for. Your character's superpowers, abilities, etc.

Any canon superpower is up for grabs, unless the GM deems it otherwise. (Mind-control and Time Travel are already banned) The following link is a good reference.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_superhuman_features_and_abilities_in_fiction

    A few guidelines:
    - Try to limit your powers and abilities to one specific area. Even though Superman has strength, speed, flight, laser eyes, frost breath, and invulnerability, most heroes don't.
    - Allot weapons with caution. Remember, you are out to SAVE lives.
    - Make sure the power your character has fits with both their origin story and the setting of the RP.

    Locations:

Hyperia has remained relatively unchanged since the events regarding the Champions' disappearance. While the effects of the --- can be felt throughout the city, for many people daily life goes on.

    - Downtown: The heart of Hyperia. Skyscrapers and city buildings line the busy streets, along with the Champions headquarters, which occupies a spot just off of main street. Downtown Hyperia closely resembles your stereotypical urban center.
    - Suburbia: Home to rows and rows of middle-class homes, Suburbia is full of residential neighborhoods. Families and middle-class citizens live here, making this one of the most populated regions of Hyperia.
    - Financial District: The bread-winner of the city, the financial district is home to numerous banks, the stock exchange, and other wealthy businesses. Unfortunately, this has also made it a common target for heists and robberies.
    - Cape Royale: Cape Royale is a collection of private villas and resorts, owned by wealthy magnets and tycoons who reside in Hyperia. Only the elite can afford to live here, and the atmosphere drips with luxury. High-profile theft runs rampant throughout the area.
    - Bayside: A haven for blue collar working folk, Bayside's claim to fame is their trade indutry. Fishing, carpentry, metalworking, etc, all can be found within this large district. Bayside is still a modern, well-off town, but contains a larger number of immigrants and laborers than other parts of Hyperia.
    - Mount Cedar: Built at the top of a mountain of the same name, Mount Cedar is a quiet, relaxed farmer's residence. The area is famous for its agriculture, and giving off a rural, ranch-style feel at times. The district's center is more urban than the edges, balancing out the community.
    - Old Town: Old Town was the first part of Hyperia to be developed, many years before it would come to harbor superheroes. It is a small, dusty community that seems to be stuck in the past, not having evolved with the rest of the city. Small time criminals often start off their career in Old Town, since any kind of modern police force doesn't exist there.
    - Outlands: Barren and undeveloped, the Outlands sit just beyond Old Town, as the only part of the city with no official inhabitants. Located here is Zephyr forest, a favorite spot for outdoor-folk and hikers. It is also rumored that a famous supervillain might have once had a base in the Outlands.

    Rules:

    - Follow all PC and RPT rules and guidelines.
    - Whatever the GM says goes.
    - Respect your fellow players.
    - This RP is rated M. That said, keep things appropriate.
    - Be creative, and have fun!

If you are ever wondering whether the rules apply, consult this.
    Spoiler:

This roleplay is a sequel to one by the similar name of "Titans", which can be found here . Events that happened in this thread are canon, and contain useful information on the setting and characters.

    Jake Kemon AKA "Lightforce"

    Age: 16

    Appearance:
Ordinarily he appears as an ordinary teenager with blue eyes and very spiky sandy brown hair, prefering to wear white and black, the colors switching between each article, Black shirt, white coat, black pants, white belt etc.
He is slightly smaller than average at only five foot seven inches compared to the five foot nine average, he weighs a healthy buck thirty and is content with that.

    "I am me! Nobody else!"

    Attire:
Rather lazy with his disguise, he doesn't even bother to don a mask, instead merely tightening the hood on his large black jacket to where his face is barely visable. Curiously, this doesn't seem to hurt his vision, despite the jacket being impossible to see through.

    Powers/abilities/weapons/etc:
Cross dimensional awareness: After being hit with a concentrated blast of the mysterious energy of the universe, Jake was suddenly aware of himself, and others. In the most littereal sense possible.

Energy manipulation: Having become attuned to the dimmensional energy, he can harness this energy, be it in weapon form or by using the energy to repair his own damages, or maybe even blowing open a door thats in his way.

    Origin Story (history):
Having lived a mediocre life for the first seventeen years of his life, Jake Kemon was suddenly transformed during a freak dimmensional storm. His body would forevermore carry over one hundred times the amount of dimmensional energy that an ordinary human body would contain, this suddenly gifted with ability to manipulate the seemingly endless supply of dimmensional energy in the world in many different ways, such as weaponizing it, or using it to "recharge his own batteries" and repair his damaged cells.
Somehow during the storm, he was also "gifted" dimmensional awareness, and having become aware of the fact that he was merely one of the main characters in a much larger story, he then decided that it would be time to kick off his chapter, donning a large black coat and making noise as his own character for this story... Lightforce.

"Lightforce? Not bad. Better than 'Iron man' or 'The flash'

    Personality:
Always wanting to be the so called comic relief of a situation, Jake frequently abuses his cringeworthy abilities to make fun of whatever company he finds himself in, for better or worse.

Having been a nerd long before becoming juiced up on dimmensional energy, Jake has adapted several nerdy things to fit his abilities, such as shaping the energy into weapons that look like they were ripped right out of a videogame or an anime.

Jake is very narrow minded, and will be very vocal when he doesn't approve of something, making him a very hard person to get along with, coupled with his intense love of sarcasm, Jake isn't somebody you'll want to hang out with 24/7.

One of the cons of being able to poke at the fourth wall is that it breaks his view of reality, making him not feel the same about certain events, such as somebody dying, unless their death was a result of his actions. Therefore he can seem unemotional at times, leaving him in an almost confused state when everybody tells him to not crack jokes at a funeral. He knows that its innapropiate, but he doesn't feel sad like everyone else.

Any other notes about your character:

Without the dimmensional energy powering him up, he becomes an average teenager, albeit one who knows he's a character in an RP. Putting it bluntly, if somebody finds some Dimmensional energy dampening matter, it will work like Kryptonite.

"Really shouldn't be disclosing my weaknesses, I mean I already don't trust that Ren guy."

    Nerites Ekitai

Name: Nerites Ekitai, child of the Ocean

Age: Appears to be in her mid-twenties in corporeal form.

    Appearance and Attire:

Just like the tides of an ocean, Nerites' attire changes constantly depending on the time period and society she is in. Her corporeal form always appears to be that of a tanned, long and dark-haired, average-height woman. Her attire in Hyperia is of any common citizen, and changes with the seasons as well - for example, a summer dress and sandals during the summer, or a heavy coat and boots during the winter.

    Personality:

Born to protect, judge and aid people, Nerites is kind and forgiving. using her power to help people in even the most petty of situations, her main aim in her travels is to help humans. She normally avoids verbal contact, as her voice has an echoey sound similar to the crashing of waves. She is extremely curious about modern technology and culture, which is why she carries a notebook (she has currently reached the sixth) with drawings and notes of her discoveries. owever under her kind, caring, calm face hides a constant feeling of dread and worry that she will soon perish like the rest of her kind.

    --------------
    ZVGYQDg.png

    Powers/abilities/weapons/etc:

    1. Metamorphosis:

      • Evaporation - If it is hot enough, Nerites can evaporate, turning into a humanoid cloud of steam. This is used mostly for utility and escape.
      • Liquidify/Condensing/Melting - Nerites' human body dissipates and turns into liquid water. If she is in another form, this takes Nerites back to her original liquid water form. This is her most common form and she uses it for most fighting scenarios.
      • Freezing - If it is cold enough, Nerites can solidify her body when it is in liquid form to turn it into ice, increasing her durability, and defense. Unfortunately, she is much slower in this state, and cannot extend her body's length. This is used mostly for brute force or when defending allies/locations.

    2. Form-exlusive abilities:

      Steam:

      • Flight - Albeit not very fast, Nerites is light enough in this form to reach cloud height.
      • Physical Invulnerability - Being made of gas, Nerites cannot be hit with any physical weapon or object. The opposite applies too - unless she solidifies/condenses herself, she cannot touch anything physical.

      Water:

      • Limb and Body Extention - In this form, Nerites can increase the size and/or length of her body, depending on her current level of power. In water, she can grow to a tremendous size.
      • Limb detachment - Nerites may hurl part of her watery body for ranged attack. The body part takes a few moments to regenerate, however.

      Ice:

      • High Durability - In this form, Nerites' body is solid and hard, increading her physical durabilty and endurance.
      • Stalagtite Throw - An ice variation of limb detachment. Large stalactites are thrown at enemies like spears for ranged attack.

    3. Other Powers:

      • Control over the tides
      • Minor control over sea storms
      • Travelling long distances by merging with the sea

    Strengths:

Durability (ice), agility (steam), versatility as she can change form. She can also speak multiple languages, becoming more fluent in the one of the area she is in.

    Weaknesses:

Electricity, water pollution, and any form of magic whatsoever (she is still weak compared to her previous days, and any character with magical abilities can incapacitate her easily). She is also quite narrow-minded, only doing her duty by instinct - almost like a robot or an animal, which strongly determines how much of her power she actually uses. Staying too far away from the ocean for too long also weakens her powers.

    Origin Story:

    IZDsiwY.png
They say gods cannot die, they say the immortal cannot be defeated. The story of Nerites, 74th protector of the ocean, tells otherwise.

Just like every other being of her nature, Nerites has existed since the beginning of creation. However, her consciousness began in the uprising of the greatest society of all - the Greek empire. As gods who had been waiting for their uprising began to thrive and gain power, she watched. She was eventually given a responsibility - guard the ocean, and be part of the 150 Neries.

Nerites was given a section of the ocean to guard - the Upper Atlantic, part of which included what is now Liberty Bay. Her responsibility was to aid ships of good sailors across the ocean, and destroy the vessels of sinners, blasphemers and criminals. She was to keep peace in the islands she guarded, both with men and the dangerous creatures lurking in the water and sky.

Dutifully, for thousands of years, Nerites did her job. Being a minor deity did not bother her - she was happy as long as she kept the peace. She was allowed to come into contact with other Neries once a year, and they discussed their achievements and duties. She loved her siblings very much - despite rarely ever meeting them. Yes, life was good for Nerites.

However, as all empires do, the Greeks began to crumble, both within and without. Heresy, new cultures, new gods had begun to emerge. Year by year, less Neries appeared the annual meeting. First one, then two, then ten, then twenty, then a hundred. Eventually, there were only ten Neries remaining.

Weak, overthrown, and powerless, the protectors of the ocean awaited their death. When a god is forgotten, and is no longer worshiped, its existence ceases to have a meaning. It slowly dissipates, disappears from history as it does from people's minds. Nerites watched as every one of her siblings suffered this fate. All, except her.

No longer confined to her domain of responsibility, Nerites began travelling the world, watching it as it grew. Nerites' first attempts to interact with humans were her trying to destroy human development, in hope that it would restore the old empire and bring back the old gods - tsunamis, floods, storms, day after day she struck the cities.

Over time, however, Nerites began growing fond of the humans. They were tireless, dedicated, to make development. Eventually, she learned to embrace change - just like the humans accepted the shifting tide. She traveled the world, helping societies thrive in whatever ways the ocean could. All the while, she has been searching for the reason why she has not perished like her siblings yet.

Fast-forward to the current time setting. Nerites, travelling across the world, is currently staying in Hyperia city. Like any other diety, she is able to take a corporeal form of a young female human, and is seen as such bu normal people. She often wanders around the city, assisting people in their daily lives, and controlling the direction of the ocean. However, one worry still plagues her mind. When will Nerites suffer the fate of the other 149 Neries? For sooner or later, she will dissipate into nothingness, become an nonexistent fragment of a dead past.

    Yes, gods can die.

As a part of the Champions program, Nerites was recruited along with other heroes destined to protect Hyperia. For a while, all seemed to be going well, and during this time she became very close friends with one of her fellow heroes, Burst. However after the Champions' dissolution, Nerites found herself with little reason to remain in the city other than her former team members. After helping Burst pay his way through college (turns out, being a sea goddess means you know the location of a lot of sunken treasure), the pair decided to leave Hyperia and move to Greece, where Burst now works as a doctor keeping in contact with Nerites as she continues her search for explanations.

Any other notes about your character:

Nerites is an avid artist, hoarder, kleptomaniac, indiscreet stalker, terrible haggler, and does her best to draw, note, (unsubtley) overhear and collect any pieces of information she finds interesting about the new world and the Greek gods, in the hope of learning more about her... peculiar situation.

  • QUANTUM IS BACK IN ACTION BABY

    Quantum%201_zpsgixl8ret.png

Name: Quantum (She has no 'street name', due to her powers. See below for more info.)

Age: Unknown, even by herself. You could guess she's around her mid to late-twenties though.

Appearance: Quantum is made up of pure, purple-pink energy, but is still in the form of a human woman around her mid-twenties. Somehow, whenever she speaks, her voice seems to have a vibrant tone, but it has no real impact on her speech patterns, or how audible she is. Despite being made up of energy, she still has a defined human form, hands, fingers, feet, and even a concentration of energy in certain places such as her eyes, nose and mouth. She claims the form comes naturally to her, though supposedly she'd be able to simply form into whatever she'd want due to being made out of energy. But for reasons specified later, she both doesn't, and can't.

Attire: Due to being made up entirely of energy, Quantum is unable to take –proper- human form, with skin and all. She's forced to wear a 'skin'-tight rubber/latex suit to prevent her energy-form to violently expand and… well, blow up herself and everything around her. When she's at home and relaxing, she'll only be wearing the 'Inner Suit', as it's been dubbed, which is as close to looking normal as she'll ever get.

    Spoiler:

Her 'Outer Suit' is an armored, technological wonder, which she's able to enter to protect the much more fragile Inner Suit from tearing. It's made up of a strange, definitely alien-like metal, which is extremely resistant to attacks and will only rarely break apart. It's a sleek black and silver look with purple neon-like lights, which is her own energy powering the suit.

On her palms, abdomen and under her feet are a specific set of a circle within a ring, which she's able to concentrate her energy into, in order to shoot out beams or blasts of energy, which will scorch and blast away whatever she targets. The Outer Suit also augments her already fairly formidable strength, making her able to punch through solid concrete and lift extremely heavy objects.

Personality: Quantum is eager to prove herself to others, knowing that she has nowhere else in the world where she could fit in, she tries to make every single thing she does in regards to crime-fighting count. She can be somewhat awkward around other heroes, due to her wanting to perform the best she can, which in turn makes it seem like her failures stand out all that much more. It's gotten better since she began her work as a Champion, but she does still suffer from this.

On her own though, she's eager and headstrong, willing to jump into dangerous situations in order to protect and defend. To her, life is precious, and a normal life is something that she knows she could never have, which is why she strives to protect those who don't know how lucky they are.

Powers/abilities/weapons/etc: Being made of pure energy has both its perks and downsides. On one hand, she's able to fly and shoot beams and blasts of energy from various parts of her suits, as well as having increased strength, which is further augmented by her suit. Said suit and due to her being made of energy, she's also able to take quite a few hits. She still feels pain, which is a mystery as to why, even for her, but she can take quite a few hits before going down. And even then, she'll get up again fairly quickly.

On the other hand, if her inner suit starts rupturing, she needs to concentrate deeply in order to control the energy that's making up her form. If the tears become to large or too many, or she loses concentration, her energy will unleash itself, violently expanding and exploding, taking both Quantum and a larger chunk of wherever she is with her.

    Strengths:
    • She's headstrong, willing to charge into dangerous situations to save her allies, or innocents.
    • Being made of pure energy makes her extremely durable (at least in her Outer Suit), and also negates the need for eating, bathroom breaks, etc.

    Weaknesses:
    • Due to her at times rash decision-making, she occasionally ends up in sticky situations, where she needs help to get out of.
    • Despite not having a need to eat or go to the bathroom, she still finds that she needs at least as much sleep as a normal person.
    • Since she's made of energy, her body is –incredibly- unstable. If her Inner Suit starts rupturing, she has to retreat quickly in order to get it fixed and not destroy herself and those around her.

Origin Story (history): Quantum has no memory of who or even –what- she is, prior to being found by her friend, Doctor Mengsk. According to him, he found her out in a field in the Outlands in a weird, alien-like metallic pod. A being of pure energy in the shape of a woman. He managed to bring the pod back to his lab in Mount Cedar.

When she woke up, she was panicked. She had no idea who or where she was or how she'd gotten there. After calming her down, the doctor managed to convince her that he was a friend, and set to work on creating a suit that would allow her to exit the pod without hurting anyone.

Once they had managed to put her in the suit and she exited the pod, the two started trying to figure out just exactly who and what she was. She had no memories of her past or even her name, but she did know basic things like language, being polite, everything that makes us human. Due to her not knowing her own name, the doctor decided to suggest one befitting of her less-than-normal nature, which she adored; Quantum.

As time went on, they began doing tests, figuring out that she was able to fly, emit laser-like blasts and beams of energy, which made Mengsk alter her suit to have a couple of special, thinner patches of the material around her palms, feet and chest, which would allow her to emit these energies, without destroying the suit.

After a couple accidents where her Inner Suit was slightly torn, and a good deal of damage was sustained on the underground lab, the doctor created the Outer Suit from the remains of her pod, which allowed her to move about without fear of her Inner Suit tearing.

For about a year, she lived in the lab, unable to go outside, of fear of the government trying to capture her, believing her an alien, or something worse. She tried to help the doctor, but she wasn't very tech-minded, other than working with a computer, which she picked up a bit on, so she stuck to mostly carrying around things for him and doing heavy lifting, while still performing some tests for him.

After being contacted by the Champions, Quantum happily accepted, finally able to live a life outside of a stuffy lab. Within herself, she felt the need to use her abilities for something greater than just herself and the professor, despite how much she cared for him.

It was a bumpy ride at first, but sooner or later, she got along just fine with everyone. In particular, she got along great with Renegade. He kept to himself and played the loner type, but over time, he slowly warmed up to her, and even became her on-call repair guy for her suit.

Once the Champions were disbanded by the government, Quantum couldn't just... return to the lab, even if the professor urged her to. She picked up where she'd left off, and continued to fight crime, although alot more small-scale this time around, for fear of awakening the government's wrath.

For five years now, she's been doing this, all by herself, all the while keeping in contact with only Renegade, from the old Champions, visiting him and his daughter on occasion. The question of who she truly is has come up more than once, but she's always dismissed it. The city was in need of a hero. A -real- hero. And if she began looking inwards, then she'd fail everyone whom relied on her.

Now, however, Renegade's returned to the crime-fighting scene. She happily backed him up in his idea of creating a resistance to fight for the people, and against this new metahuman-group that was clearly out for no one's interest but their masters'. Alongside Renegade and others, Quantum were one of the first true resistance fighters, and is ready to stand for the people, against corruption.

Any other notes about your character: If anyone's unsure about a certain aspect about Quantum, feel free to ask me!

    Appearance and attire:
    brown_boy_by_cocon-d694jl6.jpg

    Sam
A man of 39, blue eyes and silver hair to match his daughters. Unlike his skin, his attire has yet to change in the past few years. On a normal day he wears a bulletproof vest, black slacks, a black suit jacket and a baby blue dress shirt beneath with a solid black tie. When he's off doing justice and whatnot he wears a thin sheet of metal phantom of the opera style atop it all.

    demon_girl_by_daekazu-d6teqrt.jpg

    Marlena
A young girl of 17, blue eyes with silver hair to match her fathers. Engorged breasts too large for her frame and arms slightly longer than the norm for a girl her age. She stands 5' 7" with dark olive, almost black skin completely clear of any imperfections. Usually wears either black leather jeans or high waisted shorts with a tube top or tank top ripped up the sides and a milky white doll face mask. Her eye color fluctuates depending on her mood or events going on around her, sometimes appearing to be a shade of crimson or a deep purple rather than the normal blue.

    Personality:

Sam : Though somewhat lazy, if there's a chance to be in the spotlight he's there - especially if there's a pretty lady involved. He hates messing up and will do just about anything to see himself succeed, regardless of repercussions so long as it doesn't bring harm to more people than he's already trying to save. He loves getting to know new people and ends up sometimes getting in the way of other heroes and comes off as being somewhat annoying at times. In the years that have passed his personality has only had a slight change, coming in the form of his desire to protect his daughter and pursue his wife. If Marlena is in harms way, he will go out of his way to protect her. And if a clue or lead appears in regards to his wife, he's likely to drop everything and follow it.

Marlena : A scared little girl. The mind of a 6 year old in the body of an adult. She's picked up various skills from their travels, listening in on and viewing the outside world through various openings in the realm of darkness within which she's spent the majority of her life. Subject to nightmares of transforming fully into a demon, she had an innate fear of her own powers. She hates both of her parents. Her father for dragging her along in the search of the woman who abandoned them, and her mother for abandoning them. She's easily distracted by new and unknown things and has a strong desire to learn whatever she can since she's had no formal education.

    Powers/abilities/weapons/etc:

    Sam
    - Dimensional hop : Cursed by his demonic ex-wife, Samuel has the power to jump between the physical and shadow/darkness realm. Where there is darkness, there is both an entrance and exit for him.
    - Creation : More like re-purposing rather than actual creation, he changes the form of things at an atomic level by adding or removing electrons and neutrons from surrounding objects. He can create just about anything so long as he actually knows how to make it and its made of metal, has successfully de/constructed the item before, how it works and etc. along with having enough uninterrupted concentration. His power only lets him create things up to about the size of a small car (about the size of a bug). He can only change things one way and is limited by what physically surrounds him, having yet to fully grasp the extent of his powers. Once he changes something, he won't ever be able to change that item again - meaning if he fails to create the item he wants then he's screwed and has to find more material and take the time to retry. Finally, a real combat use for pocket sand.
    - Weapon encyclopedia : A general knowledge of how small firearms and more medieval weaponry such as spears, swords, shields etc are made and how they function to the point of being able to recreate them.
    - Military training : General Army level physical conditioning, enhanced reflexes and aiming abilities.

    Marlena
    - Dimensional hop : Being part demon, Marlena has the power to jump between the physical and shadow/darkness realm. Where there is darkness, there is both an entrance and exit for her.
    - Corrupted healing : Corrupted healing is an ability that heals the body of a person or persons by replacing damaged parts of the body with demonic energy - she is able to heal them without replacing their body up to a certain point, but once she hits that limit if she pushes herself further the replacement begins. Once 50% of their bodies are replaced by the demonic energy they'll be transformed mentally and slightly physically. Physical transformations include gaining wings and small horns similar to Erosia's. Mental changes include having an intense desire to be with Marlena, going so far as to even overrule innate survival instincts and fling the afflicted into harm's way just to protect Marlena.
    - Telekinesis : The ability to lift, throw, move or stop 3 or 4 objects of up to 200 pounds each with the mind. Focusing on a single target, she could lift up to 1000 pounds with her mind.
    - Temptress : A naturally skilled dancer, speaker and masseuse are all abilities that she received from her mother. Along with having a desirable body, she is fluent in English, French and Russian.

    Origin Story:

Sam: Samuel is 39 years old, he's been between jobs for nearly 14 years. He only just discovered his powers a handful of years ago, but his attitude has yet to truly change from believing himself to be the baddest dude around - though he does regret some of his decisions. He first found that he had the power to create and the power to move things with his mind when he was working at his last job - a security guard in the financial district. He had been minding his own business, nearly at the end of his shift when a group of regular joe shmos waltzed in and shot the place up.

The robbers shot him in the chest and then took his gun from him, which is when he found that he could create things. He crawled up against the wall and winced in pain, wishing that he could do something but knowing he couldn't without his gun. He sat there in a daze for a few moments while the robbers cased the bank before he heard the sound of crunching metal and realized there was now a gun in his hand. He leveled the sights lazily on one of the bandits and managed to get off the kill shot on him. His colleagues got spooked, grabbed their friend and fled the scene.

On his way to the hospital Samuel had a nightmare which triggered something else inside of him, giving him the power of telekinesis. The ambulance he was in lifted off the ground and flew halfway across the city before landing in the bay area and killing the two medics inside. Once Samuel came to he realized what had happened and fled the scene, going to a back alley "hospital" to get medical attention. Following the events he went back to work, spending his free time honing his skills while also acting the part of a superhero when he was called upon.

Once that superhero group disbanded, Samuel moved away from the city. After having read his fair share of comics, he thought that the best thing for him to do at the time was to go off and train on his own in the wilderness. During his training, he stumbled upon a rather small backwoods village. After spending a few nights at the location, Sam realized that something wasn't quite right. The village was being controlled by a cult that would sacrifice young girls in the town to a demon that they believed lived in the shadows in hopes of saving themselves.

The cult leader was able to create things in a fashion similar to Deuseas was but was limited to only creating primitive weaponry, and after Deuseas had dispatched all of the other cult members the leader submitted and asked for Deuseas' name, to which he replied that he had none. So the leader named him after his first daughter who was taken by the shadow demon when he refused to put up an offering.

Some time went on, the cult leader Zackiel vowed to repent for his sins and stood arm in arm with Sam and created a new force to uphold the peace in the town. But Sam still didn't feel as if he were really bound to keeping the peace and thought it might be more fun to cause chaos, except for the fact that a promise was made when he and Zackiel became protectors of the city that for as long as they uphold peace the people will bring them new knowledge whenever the townspeople could scrape it up. One day a woman named Lenea walked into town and immediately Sam felt a deep connection. Over the course of two years they conceived and raised a child together named Marlena who was named after Zackiel's firstborn daughter. One day Lenea mysteriously disappeared in the middle of town, simply dropping into a shadowy abyss. The darkness lay open in front of Sam, and so the man followed his love into the void along with Zackiel. Once they arrived Lenea transformed into the shadow demon that Zackiel had originally created the cult to appease.

The demon cursed her own daughter and Sam for his transgressions against her saying that once their daughter has finished her demonification she will come back to take her as Sam's offering. Samuel was branded with a symbol representing the demon, and was granted the power to travel into this realm of darkness. A gutteral roar resonated through the world around the demon and the two men as the darkness enveloped the woman. With a final whisper she spoke of a champion which roamed these shadows. While Deuseas would have the ability now to travel through this world, he would live forever in fear of the monster which now chased him through it.

Marlena: Marlena grew up in the darkness after her mother left. Her father searched through the emptiness for what seemed like months for the woman who had abandoned them. Marlena's hate grows for her father as the days pass and her powers grow. Having stolen from her father the power of telekinesis during her birth and being cursed by her mother with a slew of other abilities, she awaits the day she may finally run away.

Any other notes about your character:

Sam : Samuel is cursed very much like his daughter. The two share a bond in the shadows, allowing both to traverse into the world of darkness at their leisure. The woman who cursed and left him still lives somewhere within this dark world, but there's also something else there - something darker and much more malicious simply waiting to pounce on one or the other.

Marlena : Daughter of Deuseas. When she and her father chased down her mother into the shadow world her mother spoke to her telepathically. "My daughter, I provide you with power; a small portion of what I can do will be bestowed unto you. One day you will grow up and may even be as powerful as I am. But I curse you, not because I harbor hateful intentions towards you, but because of your father. So I curse you, when you try to help others you will only cause destruction and pain. But know this, I do love you and one day I will take you back into this world with me. I may be a demon, but your father is a true monster and one day he will turn on you as he did me, so be cautious and be strong." Since then she has grown into her powers staying cautious of her father but growing up to hate her mother for abandoning and cursing her because she desires to help and to heal, but because of her mother she is forced only to bring despair through her powers.

Darkness world: Time in the darkness world moves at a variable speed. While entering and exiting instantly will cause time to move parallel to the outside world, extended stays inside can pass at any unknown pace dependent entirely upon chance and the person affected. While only a couple of years passed in the outside world, over a dozen passed inside for Marlena and a handful for Deuseas. The extended stay in the darkness is also the reason for the change in color of father and daughter's skin.

    Renier "Reid" Cullen

    Kingside

    BIOGRAPHY

Name: Renier "Reid" Cullen aka "Kingside"
    Age: 19

Appearance and Attire: As Reid, he is seen wearing a white long sleeved polo with a black vest draped over it as his school uniform, his jet black hair a mess, coming down like a bowl. He stands in a tall, slim physique and has grey eyes covered by a pair of thin glasses. As The Kingside, he is seen ditching the black vest, stripping down only to his polo but rather than long-sleeved, he folds it to his elbow. He sports black, skinny jeans as his bottom and his hair becomes spiky and well groomed, and his iconic glasses remain.

Personality: Humble, quiet, obedient and stoic – that's Reid for you. Rather timid, and oftentimes keeps to himself, he is described as being socially awkward and shy. At school, he lets other people walk all over him, evidently having lack of drive, ambition, and even opinions. But inside, he is benevolent and relaxed in nature, due to rarely being confrontational with his peers. He comes across as as cool, calm and collected. Perhaps his most prominent feature is his intelligence, he's a bibliophile and often times wander around with his head in a book.

    Powers/Abilities and Limitations:

    Telekinesis
Reid can keep and object/being from moving, he can grasp an object firmly/out of place, and pull objects towards him or to push objects away from him. His limitations include: his psychic strength is proportional to his capacity, meaning an opponent with physical strength stronger than his mental strength may break free, or even be immune to the ability altogether and he is unable to move object that he cannot see.
    Levitation
Reid can cause objects (humans included) to hover or float in the air unassisted. His limitations include: subjects may float uncontrollably; it would be difficult to stabilize at times, may be difficult to maneuver and may only be able to stay up for a short time. The heavier the object, the harder for Reid to control (ex. A boulder is much harder to levitate than a pebble). Although, he could fully control this power only when levitating himself.

    Psionic Manipulation
Reid can enhance his physical speed and strength with his mind, using mental energy to add to their agility and power. He could also reverse this power, to limit his target's speed and strength the same way. His limitations include: his additional speed and strength relies on the state of his mental state and focus, and he roughly masters this ability.

    Teleportation
Reid can move instantaneously from one location to another without physically occupying the space in between he can also transfer matter. His limitations include: He is only capable of teleporting short distances, from one side of a room to another, or a few blocks away. And he can only teleport objects that he can see and/or feel.

Origin: Reid's childhood wasn't the best. He was young when his parents got divorced which lead to him living with his father alone in Suburbia. They have a hard life, his father didn't have a stable job, often becoming unemployed from time to time. Reid went to get his primary and secondary education in a run-of-the-mill community school - and his life went downhill from there.

He was harassed, bullied and had his self-confidence destroyed by boorish individuals on multiple occasions. Such events led him to lock himself up in his room, even question his existence. He became depressed and antisocial, eventually, he got a letter that he almost got dropped out of school. He became sleep and food deprived. The only company he would have were his books, a whole ton of them. He enjoyed reading, and rereading them because for once, he can escape this terrible world called "Life" and visit another place in a form of the pages, and the stories the book told.

After a few words of encouragement from his father, he took a chance at going to school again. But this resulted in further bullying from his classmates. It was then when he heard about a scholarship program offered by Hyperia University, he jumped at the opportunity, knowing at this was his ticket out of this dump. He mustered up some courage, passed the admission test, passed the interviews, and received an all expense paid scholarship from the school. It took a while to get used to the city, but he adjusted well enough. All seemed great, until one day - it began.

First it was a string of light headaches, then it became an intense migraine. And the next thing he knew, everything became black. He woke up in a white light, the pounding ache eased but was still evident. The first thing he noticed was a thin matter in between his eyes. Glasses. The next thing was his father, when he asked what happened, his father responded that he just needed glasses because of his poor vision. He stared at a reflection of himself at a nearby flower vase. And then - the headache occurred again. Struggling from the pain, he got an urge to aim his hand on the vase, and to his surprise, it began to float. Both Reid and his father gasped, as the flower vase continued to hover in the air. Little did he know that, in that moment, was a birth of a new individual - Kingside.

Present: Currently, Reid is still at Hyperia University, chess club resident, an A+ student and still a total nerd. With his rough past behind him, he is striving to fully master his powers, knowing that one day he could use them for good - and to quickly get coffee in a local bakery.

    Notes:

    • As his mannerism, when he is reading a book alone, he can be seen fidgeting with various chess pieces, levitating them into the air.
    • He is always carrying around a book with him, a good read makes him relax.
    • He loves listening to soft pop music, often times having earphones stuck in his ear.
    • He is the worst conversation starter, and he sometimes stumble over his words when speaking to people.
    • He is currently living in a cheap studio flat in the city, with his father, who got a permanent job as a construction engineer.
    • He likes coffee.

  • Giron
AKA Basil DeLeon | Aged 30 | Male | Reptilia

    latest

Appearance and Attire: Giron's true form is that of a humanoid lizard creature. On two legs he stands at a height of nearing seven feet tall and he weighs around 85Kg. Giron's skin is a pale moss-green colour however much of his body is covered in hard scales that are a deep forest-green colour. Like most members of his species, Giron has long and powerful limbs and hands and feet that end in sharp, hooked claws and although not visible to the naked eye his palms and the soles of his feet are covered in tiny hooks much like on the feet of a gecko. Giron's lizard-like features also include long and muscular tail, deep crimson eyes, small but sharp teeth and a series of spines along his neck. In his true form Giron does not wear any semblance of clothing.

Due to his power, Giron actually has a few different secret identities although the ones he uses most often are all known by the name of "Basil". The favourite of these identities is a young man in college majoring in history and minoring in politics. "Basil" appears to be around the age of nineteen or twenty and stands at a moderately tall height of six feet. He appears to be of a mix of Caucasian and Hispanic descent and has simple and unassuming brown eyes and short but messy black hair. He is slim and somewhat toned but far from ripped.

As Basil, Giron typically wears a pair of black or blue denim jeans, a white button-up shirt and a blue, black or grey zip-up hoodie. He wears a simple bracelet around his left wrist that displays a lizard made of emeralds.

Personality: Despite being an alien, Giron has a personality that is very human in a sense. Giron is moderately intelligent and has an extremely curious mind. He is the kind of person who loves to sit down watching documentaries on National Geographic or the History Channel or who gets lost on the internet reading about random trivia. Despite this though, Giron can be quite scatterbrained. He can remember a lot of facts, but he can never remember what dates assignments are due or where he has left half of his possessions.

Giron is a friendly and compassionate person which has lead to him having a fairly wide social circle as Basil, although he doesn't have many close friends he enjoys peoples company and likes to talk and listen. Giron also likes to have a laugh and enjoys humour, although on occasion he misses jokes taking things too literally. In general he is the kind of person that others like to be around (despite actually being a big lizard) and is a very kind and dependable individual even if he can be a little oblivious.

Despite his sharp teeth, Giron (like all of his species) is actually a herbivore which has given him the chance to see animals from a different perspective. Because of this he has developed a love of animals, especially those he sees on Earth.

    Powers/abilities/weapons/etc:
    • Enhanced Physical Capabilities – In his natural form Giron is much stronger, faster and more agile than a human being. He is able to outrun Olympic sprinters quite easily on both two legs or on all fours, is an adept climber capable of easily scaling some of the sheerest surfaces and can leap a very long distance. He is also significantly stronger than humans possessing strength comparable to large and dangerous animals and is an efficient swimmer. However "enhanced" is not necessarily the best word for these abilities as they are merely the natural capabilities of Giron's species and amongst his people he is probably quite average for his age and gender.
    • Natural Weapons: As mentioned earlier, in his natural form Giron possesses sharp claws and teeth and a powerful tail and all of these things can be used as weapons.
    • Shapeshifting: Another ability of Giron's species is that they are capable of shifting their biological structure to resemble other creatures or items. This allows for a lot of versatility and adaptability and also the ability to easily conceal ones self. However this ability is also limited in that in another form Giron will also lose the abilities of his own natural state having those capabilities be replaced by those of the body he is using.
    • Sight/Smell/Taste: Giron's species also have senses of sight, smell and taste that are much sharper and clearer than those of a human. However the hearing of the species is about the same and their sense of touch is somewhat duller.

Origin Story (history): Giron doesn't really have much of an origin story, he actually lived quite the ordinary life before joining the New Champions. Giron is a member of an alien species that's name is unpronounceable to humans but translates roughly to "Reptilia". He grew up with his two siblings and parents in a treetop dwelling in one of the many nature-integrated swamp cities on his home planet.

The Reptilia are an interesting species, immersed in nature but also many years ahead of humans in their transport technology. Possessing space ships that can travel between the layers of space and time with some degree of accuracy to travel great distances in small amounts of time. This technology in combination with the species' shape-shifting abilities gave rise to a lucrative travel industry in which Reptilia could rent a ship and travel to far off planets to experience life amongst other species.

It was such a trip that resulted in Giron ending up on Earth. He had heard about the recently discovered planet and had instantly fallen in love with the blue planet. Desperately wanting to visit Earth, Giron saved his money for several years before he was finally able to rent a ship and make the journey.

Unfortunately, Giron ran into a problem. As he approached the planet, Giron failed to notice a comet, the satelite's gravitational pull interfered with his trajectory and resulted in his ship crashing on a Canadian mountain range. This error resulted in Giron's travel visa/passport being revoked and as other Reptilia rarely visit a planet as far away as Earth (because it is so expensive), let alone in the same area as Giron, he has been stuck on the planet ever since with no way to contact his home planet, let alone obtain another passport/visa thing.

A year into his unwilling exile, Giron had settled in to a new life on Earth. Using his abilities he created secret identities and managed to get a place at Hyperia University where he studied History and Politics. It was whilst he was pretending to be a human student that he was contacted by Binary and later inducted into the New Champions alongside several other young superhero hopefuls.

With Binary disappearing, the Champions being forced to disband and an evil dictator essentially running the city, Giron eventually went on the run. Using his natural ability to take on the form of essentially anything, Giron proved mostly impossible to catch but he also found himself unable to get in contact with the Resistance. Unable to join the fight properly, he got a job at city hall using his secret identity. He has been sabotaging Animatus from within but ideally would like to rejoin his hero compatriots in the Resistance.

Any other notes about your character: WOOOLLVVERRIIINNEESS

Roleplay Sample: Giron meets Quantum in the original Titans

  • Here''s this. I'll be working on it for a few days, but it should be done soon. Maybe tomorrow. We'll see. Gary may or may not be heavily influenced by Spider-Man.

Name: "Just call me Venom!...Or Gary. I guess Gary's fine."
Gary Genes, or more commonly known as, "Ant Venom"

Age: "I'm an adult! Kind of!"
    18

    Appearance: "Hot, right? Eheh...Eheh...Heheh...I know."
    Spoiler:

Gary's your average teenager, as seen above. He's not particularly tall, as he stands at about 5'8". Short jokes are acceptable.

Attire: "Comfort over class, am I right?"
Gary generally wears long sleeves and pants. Whatever they may be, be they flannel shirts or black t-shirts. He'll wear t-shirts, so long long as he has a hoodie or button-up shirt to cover his arms. The reason that he always tries to hide his sleeves is because he always wears the Ant Suit, aside from the mask and gloves, under his normal apparel. His suit is matte black, with a white emblem of an ant on the chest. It's a one piece suit that is rather difficult to take off due to the layers of clothes that he always wears. The helmet of the suit is a simple black mask with goggles in the eyes that are electronically enhanced to provide enhanced vision. The goggles themselves have lines across them that look like compounded eyes, but really function as micro-wiring. Antennas appear from the top, allowing him to hear anything he should choose. His gloves are simple leather gloves that are imbued with the ability to magnetically attach to walls and such.

    Spoiler:

    The Ant Emblem

Personality: "Well, I'm what you call, 'The Dorky Superhero.'"
Gary, fresh out of high school, is a teenager with everything to prove. He's actually very friendly, and generally optimistic. He often likes to discuss various topics with his peers about things that one would either consider of the utmost importance, or the least importance, with little, to no, in between, as he is very sporadic with his paying attention. It is not uncommon to hear him attempting to converse with opponents in the midst of battle, much to their frustration. But he does this out of his genuine friendliness, as he views everyone as a potential friend, as long they can resolve their conflict, which includes combat. Gary also enjoys making quality puns, and one-liners are one of the most important parts of being a superhero. While a powerful superhero with a high IQ, Gary is very insecure, a side product of being a teenager, and awkward in every day life. He's not your average teenager, of course. He has special powers and abilities, but that makes him no different. He's still afraid to talk to girls in a romantic way, afraid of the dark, and likes to nerd out about things, and while he may seem a little to perfect, he also likes to blow things up and see cool things, as the normal teenager would.

Despite Gary's awkward self, he's very competent when put in a laboratory or combat. Not only does he has incredible strengths, but he is also incredibly intelligent. He has an IQ of 183, far above that of 95.5% of humanity. His specific area of expertise lies in the fields of science and physics. He is very adamant about his love of science, and enjoys discussing it with whoever is able to keep up with his highly intelligent ramblings. Gary often spends his time experimenting with various metals and practicing throwing various things at different angles to sate his curiosity of whether or not, it will indeed explode. Once the mask goes on, Gary goes away. All that's left is Ant-Venom. More commonly referred to as Venom, or Ant for those who view him as a lesser hero, he is a very confident person, even going so far as to taunt his opponents in combat if he's feeling himself.

    Powers/abilities/weapons/etc: "My sick skills, yo!"

    • Super Strength: Gary was granted incredible strength in the accident. He's able to lift ten times his own weight, just like an ant. At Gary's weight, about 115 lbs, he can lift 1150 lbs. If he attempts to go over this weight, however, he's sure to be crushed. The odd thing about this strength, however, is that Gary must shrink down to the size of an average Bulldog Ant to use this strength, a little over an inch and a half, leaving him vulnerable to odd things such as being stepped on, being attacked by animals, or anything of the sort.
    • Enhanced Senses: Gary was granted enhanced vision and hearing in his accident. He can see clearly up to several hundred meters away, and has night vision. However, he must wear sunglasses so he does not blind himself in intense sunlight. His suit also has darkened goggles to dull his senses a bit. His hearing is very acute, to be point where he can hear ants crawling on the ground. He always has ear plugs and his suit has built in ear muffs, however, so he does not go into a sensory overload.
    • Enhanced Jumping: The species of ant that mixed with Gary's genetics is known at the Bulldog Ant, or more specifically, the Jumping Jack Ant. As the name would suggest, Gary can jump large distances. However, he cannot survive large falls, and he cannot jump above ten feet vertically, and twenty feet horizontally. He can only jump a total of twenty feet combined. For example, if he jumps fifteen feet forward, he can only just five feet up. Gary must shrink down to use this ability, just like his strength.
    • The Ant Suit: A suit of Gary's own invention. It's a simple two-layer suit made of thick cloth, almost like a flexible leather. Between the layers are the batteries of the suit. The suit has a finite source of energy, and can run out during combat, and it does not function as armor, but merely a tool to conceal his identity. On a side note, the Ant Suit contains built in air conditioning to keep Gary cool underneath his layers of clothing. In all actuality, the suit is just a mobile, air conditioned costume.
    • Ant Pheremones: Gary's genetics are entwined with those of an ant, meaning that ants think he's...well, he's an ant. He can sense other ants, and sense what they're feeling and thinking as well. While this is useful for reconnaissance, he can be subdued to a queen ant's will, even if he is in his regular size, and if he isn't careful, he can be overloaded with thousands of ants' thoughts and senses, causing him to blackout.

Origin Story (history): "Well, long story short...don't pick fights with criminals."
Gary Genes had the average genius child's background. He seemed to stand out from the average child at a very young age. When some where just learning to walk, he was already reading. When others were beginning to read, he was doing basic algebra. Gary has always stood out among his peers, and quite frankly, it made him feel lonely. Sure, he had very supportive parents in a stable middle-class family, but he wanted the kids his own age to support and love him as well. He didn't have very many friends while he grew up. He would always be interested in subjects that were years ahead of his own age group's interest. The struggle of the young genius was very real. He hadn't really found a niche in society, until he reached the age of sixteen.

On his sixteenth birthday, Gary's family took him to the local science museum, one of his favorite places to visit. The Genes family was in the genetics section of the lab when the day took a turn for the worst. A sect of terrorists dedicated to stopping the general public learn of scientific things had taken the museum by storm. They killed several people before they came upon Gary's family. The leader of the terrorists, who seemed to have the head of an ant, approached them and pointed a gun to Gary's father's head. In a blind act of foolhardy bravery, Gary leaped forward and attempted to wrestle the gun from the leader's hands. The pair of combatants fell to the ground in a mad attempt to take the gun. After a series of unfortunate events, they ended up shooting a hole in the nearby glass panel overlooking a pool of gene-splicing material. Since they had contact, Gary's genes began to entwine with the terrorist's. Considering that the assailant was already half ant, Gary took a quarter of his mutation. He received enhanced physical capabilities, and a keen liking for sugary food.

Upon exiting the gene pool, Gary was surprised to find that the terrorist had drowned. The rest of his band, at the sight of their dead leader, fled in fear. Gary's parents were apparently okay, although concerned for their son. It took several days for him to realize his powers. It was terrifying at first, but he soon began to master them. He refused to let anyone he knew find out about his amazing capabilities, so he began to develop a costume so that he could train himself in secret. After a little while, he began to work with his abilities to the point where he could successfully fight crime. He began to bust petty criminals at first. He would move up in levels to more and more dangerous criminals, but nothing more than he could handle. Once he graduated from high school, he intended on going to the most prestigious scientific academy on the planet, one worthy of his intelligence, but his plans changed with rumors of the Resistance rising. He knew he had to sign up.

Any other notes about your character:

    • Gary has particular interest in how things work, and will often ask about how anything works even at the worst times.
    • He enjoys explosives
    • While Gary has increased strength, jumping, and senses, he is still as fast as a normal human. His senses are better for reconnaissance, and his jumping is generally only useful for quick get-aways.
    • As a result of becoming part ant, Gary has developed an interest in the inner workings of ant hills and ant biology. Expect him to make side trips.

  • Name: Rex Raze or known as "Thunder Demon"
    Age: 18
    Appearance:
    Pics_Art_05_21_07_07_18.png

    Attire:Same as above.

Personality:From young age, Rex was calm and insightful, showing noticeable maturity for his age and knowledge on how to deal with every situation. Despite claiming not to care about what other people think about him, he attempts to maintain a detached and "cool" image. Whenever confronted, Rex is casual and uncaring, attempting to draw out a conversation and make small talk, which often infuriates those he is talking to.

During fights Rex shows the other side of him which is deadly and bloodthirsty. He never became arrogant about his own abilities or accomplishments; to which, most views or statements he made were usually well-based, seeing the situation for what it was. He often taunts and belittles his opponents when fighting, sometimes attacking without warning to make his opponents angry. Rex has a strong desire to win his fights, but in what he views as a legitimate manner.

    Power/Abilities:

    • Electrical Enhancement: Rex is able to enhance his physical and mental attributes using electricity to stimulate the nerves. By using this power, he would able to jump extraordinary distances due to the increase in strength, or react insanely faster due to the mental amplification.

Electrical aura: Rex can release and surround himself in electricity for defensive and offensive purposes, possibly becoming almost untouchable and granting him various abilities attacks.

Electrical Healing:Rex can heal himself or others by using electricity by absorbing the electrons and using them to stimulate molecules, renewing damaged cells. Electricity can also provide energy to reduce fatigue, allowing optimal health, as well as restarting the heart and repair any brain damage.

Thunder Call:It's one of most powerful attack of Rex. He has the power to send Thunder from the sky that could be used to severely burn his opponents even to the point of death they can range, from minor to fatal voltage.

Electro Flight: With use of this ability he can fly, glide and levitate through manipulation of electricity. He can fly at varying speeds, levitate, or propel himself without taking flight, including enhanced jumping by a short burst of flight.

      Bi product of Electricity:

Electromagnetic Construct: He can turn electromagnetism into plasma ball and do a decent scale attack.
Origin story: He was born in an average family in a old town. He lived free of worries until he was about 10 years old, but at that point things changed.
It was a stormy night when he was struck by lightening. He fell unconscious for several hours. His clothes had been burned from several places. He regain his strength after 2 days. After that day electricity started attracting towards him. One day he unconsciously absorb electricity while playing a game in computer. He didn't said a word about this incidence to anyone but he started playing with his new powers.

After harsh training and turning 18 last week he is ready to take on the world by storm "by that he means thunder". With his skills and determination, there's nothing to stop him from reaching full potential. He could quickly become a force to be reckoned with. But anything could happen; he is currently looking for a group call resistance.

  • Name: Helen Harden/ Overdrive

    Age: 28

Appearance: Helen does not look all that different from your everyday young woman with a generally pleasant demeanor complete with a wide eyed expression. Her height is nothing to gawk at, standing only a little higher that 5'5, and she never really bothers to weigh herself, being constantly on the move as it is. With a fairly slim yet athletic build, Helen comes off as someone with fantastic genetics, especially considering he choice of diet, often seen munching on some piece of junk food. Aside from this, Helen is fairly unremarkable, aside from her long platinum blonde hair that glistens into silver in certain light. Bright blue eyes peer through the strands of hair that brush across her face. She generally tries to keep the hair out of her gentle facial features by tying her long hair back in a ponytail, minimizing any distractions and/or frustrations that could result from a wandering piece of hair.

Attire: Helen does not dress to impress, unless she absolutely has to. In most casual settings, Helen prefers function or comfort over form or style. This includes usually wearing jeans and a t-shirt, usually with some graphic design or something along those lines to offer some character. The occasional ear or nose piercing will accompany the outfit if nothing more to display some originality. She is also fond of wearing hoodies or anything else of that kind, hardly investing in dresses aside from the infrequent formal gathering. However, as a professional, Helen does dress up. Working her way up from a struggling internship on at a local paper, Helen is an rookie journalist and subsequently wears business attire when required, investing in women's suits and some formal dresses to look presentable.

When she is out trying to save the day, Helen wears a spandex suit very similar to the one below, one that she may or may not have illegally acquired:
    5qXvfRR.jpg

Personality: Helen is a difficult individual to adequately describe. Despite not having the best of childhoods and experienced more than her fair share of struggles when growing up, Helen is surprisingly optimistic, easy-going and fun-loving. She does not appear to take life, or anything really, seriously having adopted an attitude of going with the flow. Challenges to her are nothing to stress over, and for the most part Helen adapts well to most situations. It seems that by not caring about much that, she has learned how to keep things generally in order. Guided by a well meaning heart and some semblance of determination, Helen does her best to do the right thing, even if she has a poor way about going about it from time to time.

With this being said, Helen does not necessarily come off that way. In fact, that would underplaying much of her personality. Helen's optimistic nature has developed to the point of being naive, almost excessively so. She almost refuses to admit the bad side of anything, as if it reminds her of something she would rather forget. Additionally, she does not see her own faults or mistakes particularly well, making the phrase "I'm sorry" a novelty when she says it. She may be easy going, but it also means she hardly, as mentioned before, takes anything seriously. Pranks, jokes, cheeky one liners and snide remarks are all too common when interacting with the young woman. She enjoys demeaning others with the best intentions, having developed a perverse and immature sense of humor. While this could be mistaken for poor social skills, Helen is very outgoing, but just handles herself in an eccentric manner. Those who have known her for a long time have gotten used to Helen's unique means of interaction, but she can rub new friends the wrong way unintentionally. This seeps into her fun loving nature, more or less snowballing in Helen's fondness of partying, hanging out and simply enjoying life, having caused her to be somewhat irresponsible, unless the situation truly calls for her to stop messing around.

In summary, Helen is a young woman who is still coming into her own. While she means well, she performs poorly, and refuses to admit her faults unless something truly terrible happened. Despite being an effective adult, Helen is more a of child or a teenager who needs to grow up a lot more, but despite this displays the resolve to adapt very well.

Oh, and she is random, hyperactive and borderline insane, lacking any sense of self control and restraint. That is probably the first thing you would actually notice.

Powers/abilities/weapons/etc: Helen's abilities are multifaceted, having completely reworked her physiology, having effected her physically, mentality, and to a certain extent emotionally. While it is difficult to strike at the core of her abilities, Helen's wide skill set is generally easy to break down regardless:

Enhanced Speed: Helen has the ability to move at superhuman speeds, easily eclipsing the speed of sound by several times. While she is not aware of her top speed, she is aware that she can go beyond the speed of light in given conditions, but fears the implications of going at that speed. As her speed has developed over time, her body has adapted to the forces that act on her body due to moving at this unnatural rate, having acquired adaption to the gravitational forces that act on her body and being gifted with a resistance to the ridiculous amounts of friction that she and her clothes have to endure, seemingly coated in an aura that further reduces the friction. Helen is able to localize her super speed to different parts of her body to the molecular level, and can, for example, vibrate her body through physical objects. She can easily affect the environment and plays with her speed's ability to toy with the environment of a frequent basis.

Accelerated Metabolism: A possible underlying explanation for Helen's super speed is her ridiculously accelerated metabolism, which has been supercharged to the fullest. This makes Helen resistant to aging (she still looks about 23), weight gain, disease, injury, as well as increasing her ability to recover from anything. It must be noted that this does not act as a healing factor and simply increased healing speed (such as a few hours to fix a broken bone rather than weeks). Additionally, Helen must eat a larger amount of food to maintain this accelerated bodily functions.

Accelerated Perception, Thought Process, and Reflexes: Imagine trying to move at super speed with the current human brain? Impossible. Helen's body has adapted to solve that oversight. In essence, Helen is capable to perceiving and responding to any form of stimuli at a far faster and more efficient rate, capable of adapting, learning and responding at incredible speeds. In as few words as possible, Helen can think, learn and react at ridiculous superhuman levels, best described by the following analogy: "A regular person's second feels like an hour to me." However, this does not mean she is super intelligent, but rather has the potential to become so.

Enhanced Endurance, Stamina and Durability: In summary, Helen does not get tired very easily, as her body has adapted to her incredible speeds over the years of possessing this ability. She is capable of being active for extended periods of time without even thinking of getting exhausted, capable of running at high speeds without threat of exhaustion and capable of enduring significant damage without severe injury. However, these abilities work in conjunction with her metabolism, meaning that if she is not properly maintaining her nutrition, these abilities will falter.

    Strengths:

Innate capabilities of Super Speed: Simply put, Helen's power is not reliant on manipulation or any augmentation, and is a superpower completely ingrained in her physiology. It can be called upon at any moment and its only true limitation is Helen's own individual capabilities.

Creative and nearly complete understanding of abilities: Having experimented for some time with her abilities, Helen has a better solid grasp on the extent of her abilities, including her capabilities and limits. As a result, Helen has conceived some pretty unique applications of her abilities and due to her...eccentric dispoisition, is more than willing to experiment further to find any new applications. This allows her to push super speed to its limits.

Good understanding of physics and other sciences: Thanks to her accelerated learning, Helen has acquired an understanding of most sciences, allowing her to understand and implement scientific thought into the application of her abilities.

    Weaknesses:

Damaged psyche: Helen is....well, she is not all there. Born with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), one can imagine the effects of having a super power put everything into overdrive. Combine that with being thrown between asylums and hospitals for the better part of five years and all the medications and wrong treatments have had a traumatic effect on Helen's mind. While Helen is not explicitly insane, her psyche is best described as erratic or unstable, most commonly interpreted as possibly having mild schizophrenia. Luckily, Helen's delusions are mostly innocent and mostly contribute to her randomness rather than violent outbursts or anything of that nature.

Easily distracted: Give a person with ADHD super speed and you can imagine the results. Her power allows her to pursue any distraction and only feeds the disorder. Couple that with her tendency to be easily bored and it is not a good recipe.

Mediocre fighting capabilities: Lacking little formal training in martial arts, Helen is not the best fighter. While capable against any untrained opponent, any honed fighter can defeat her in a fair one on one fight. This makes Helen extremely dependent on her abilities, which often gives her the edge regardless given no one can practically hit her.

    Origin Story (history):

So you want an origin story, eh? I suppose I can't really blame you. After all, I am pretty interesting. AndIhavethecoolestsuperpowerthatallowsmetodovirtuallyeverythinginablinkoftheeyewhileyouregularpeoplearestillstrugglingtodecidewhattohaveforbreakfast. Oh, right, right. You probably didn't catch that. That's okay. I'll speak slower. And I should probably get to the point shouldn't I?

My name is Helen Harden. I'm an only child, born to the lovely Hank Harden and Christie Harden. They were pretty young when they had me, but that's what you get when you are not the most responsible of parents. Needless to say, they matured pretty damn fast after I was born. They kind of had to all things considered. Life wasn't easy in Suburia for them the first couple years I was around, but fortunately my dad finished college and got a pretty nice job working in some research lab or something, trying to create fancy cures for all kinds of disorders. Now for a while, it was kind of a "show up, do your stuff, leave" kind of job for my dad. I guess you could say he wasn't all that motivated or something. Not I blame the guy, staring down microscopes all day would be pretty boring to me too! Or would it? I'm not sure. I guess if the money is good. Oh sorry, I got distracted again thinking about kittens.

But all of that changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Okay, fine, I'll be serious for a little. It actually changed when I was just starting school and I started showing symptoms of ADHD. The stuff isn't fun, at least it wasn't for my parents. My father got a whole lot more motivated in his research, hoping to find a cure, or at least a halfway decent treatment for my ADHD. In the meantime, I was drugged up to high heaven. It wasn't too much fun either being all dependent on the stuff, but it worked well enough to keep focused for a little while.

A number of years passed. About 6 or so to be precise. I think. I don't really know. I hate math. Makes my thinker box hurt. It was "Bring your daughter to work day!" So my father wanted to show all the cool stuff he was doing and how he was doing everything for me. It was sweet really. I kind of felt bad for wandering off during his lunch break when I look back. If it wasn't for my curiosity egging on all the problems in my head, I probably would of stuck at his side and not being here answering this question.

Anyway, the wandering is important because of what actually happened. I walked up to my dad's floor and just starting going through the different doors to stare at all the different equipment. I soon found myself in some strange room. It was all electronic looking, like a giant tube or something. I don't really remember a lot of details, but basically I found a bunch of buttons and my dumb 12 year old self slammed all of them. A massive power surge flowed through the tube and the next thing I know I was in a hospital bed, flashing forward about 5 days into the future.

From I was told, gathered and kind of guessed on, the tube was some molecule accelerator thing that was used by a different department that happened to be on my dad's floor. I turned it on and somehow did not implode. In fact, medically, the doctor's were perplexed about what actually happened to my body. I was in a coma yet all my body systems were functioning at like 200% or something. My metabolism was unreal and I was processing everything many times faster than anything they have ever seen. I woke up with seemingly no ill effects...well until all my mental disorders acted up in overdrive.

The doctors attempted to treat me with meds, like they always do. Most didn't work because everything flushed through my system like water through a hose. It was really annoying and I swear I consumed more drugs than a meth addict who inherited Microsoft. And not the fun type of drugs either. In due time, the doctors all but gave up, referring my supercharged ass to some treatment asylum that specialized in mental disorders.

You see, my accident essentially threw my brain for a real ride, with electrical impulses overloading my body. So my ADHD was the most advanced case ever. My overloaded brain struggled to handle everything so other disorders were beginning to crop up too. The docs at the new place basically did the same thing. Diagnose one problem. Drug me up. Find another one (or a new one if it was Tuesday) and drug me up. It was a vicious cycle. None of it really worked, if I am going to be honest with you.

You know what did? Growing up and running. You see, while the doctors picked each other's brains looking for some secret underlying cause, the insane chick right here figured it out! Well, at least I kind of did. When I was about 16...yeah thereabouts, I started realizing that reading (for my "homeschooling" that was done in the confines of the facility) was becoming really easy. Like I read a book in a matter of minutes rather than hours or days. It was strange. But then I started noticing that I could everything a lot faster. Reading, writing, reacting, thinking. Running. Oh yeah, that was the one that made everything real fun.

As this was happening, a lot of my problems began to slowly get under control. I put an emphasis on slowly. It was like my body needed to adapt ever so slowly. In due time, I was able to become well enough to check out when I was 18 years old. Shortly after that, I made my way to college, pursuing a degree in English and Journalism. Why? Well, I could read and write really fast that the homework didn't have the opportunity to bore me. I managed to score an internship at one of the local papers here in Hyperia that later hired me when I graduated, giving me enough of an income to move out and be my own lady.

A lady that happens to have superpowers. It's pretty fun.
