Spoiler:

Funny how google on my mobile didn't find that and only showed me actual eggs and then google on my laptop once I'm home does find it...

Anyway, I've only ever used Tea bags.

Yeah kinda guessed it but I wasn't sure. Didn't even seem for tea tbh. Never used btw!

Supermarkets and discounters usually only sell tea that's prepackaged. There are some places that additionally sell the loose stuff. Like, there are some drug stores in my vicinity.

The other option is also to go foraging and just cut leaves and flowers that fit and put them in. Never done that, myself, though.

I actually have picked flowers and herbs for my own tea, since I have a garden. Chamomile is usually what I would grab for tea. I have made it all different ways though. Simplest is just tea bags in my pantry that came from a store. I do have a tea ball in my house though, usually we call it that instead of tea egg. It's more work to clean the leaves out, but I have made it this way. A schoolmate of mine would order delicious tea leaves blended with chunks of dried fruit from this company, and together she and I would make tea the old fashioned way. I can still taste the berries. Those were teas worth the extra time.

One tea I don't drink though is the flowering kind that turns into a big bloom as it sits in the pot. It gives me invasion of the body snatcher vibes, though many think it is pretty and magical.
