I assume you mean Kanto Arcanine?
Because the Hisuian one definitely has double weaknesses.

Hisuian Arcanine has 2 double weaknesses: Water and Ground. Charizard, on the other hand, has only Rock for a double weakness.

I don't really care for the Hisuian look for Arcanine. I've never looked at it and said "Oh yeah, I totally want that one on my team!". I have done that with the original Arcanine though.

And rock attacks are not as common as ground and water ones, when they are used they tend to have more accuracy problems as well. Stealth rocks were the primary danger from this weakness for Charizard, but that can be bypassed with heavy duty boots. Charizard could also be used in double battles, a format where entry hazards are more unusual to see. Another thing to keep in mind is that Charizard has an immunity thanks to it's flying typing, which neither form of Arcanine have, and more 4x resistances.

I've never seen the benefit of 4 x weakness/resistances. They don't add much to the game (if anything at all) and really don't need to be a thing imo.
They could potentially nerf really bulky Pokemon a bit, but often a super effective STAB hit is more than enough.

My first Nuzlocke had a Charizard named Pyro on the team. I won that Nuzlocke. Therefore Charizard wins. (even though my Vaporeon Silver was the star of that team lol :p)

There are lots of reasons why Charizard is bad, but I can't disclose it as I had signed a contract with The Pokémon Company to not reveal a lot of reasons for my benefits !!


In short I can say that Arcanine is better at the moment than Charizard.
