name idea vomit ahoy!

member cuddle center
"ask me anything" forum
the question lounge
narnia
how i met your forum member
two and a half members
the big ask members questions theory
nick's rodeo
blade's puppy ranch
kaiba corp
"get to know you" forum
20 questions

All these titles. Yes.

Though out of the serious ones, I like the question lounge the most.

Also the wait list seems like a much better idea than invitations and seems more simpler than waiting for a hstaff to invite you and then waiting for the thread to be improved.

Random thing I thought of that might be fun! I added it to my opening post, but thought it could be an option more widely used.
People can post "Random Fact Please?" or "Random Fact about your family/ dog/ insert subject here" after their question(s) to receive a random fact from the thread-owner. They need to post a question before asking for a random fact.
Owner can always reply "Can't think of one right now" if they really can't ;3

What do you think?

Also Question Lounge is cool.. but how about TEAM ROCKET'S INTERROGATION ROOM or CENTER?

How I Met Your Forum Member. Yes. Just yes.

Honestly I don't mind the name of the forum that much as it is. It's pretty straightforward for what it is, but it does just kind of sound strict for something that's pretty laid back for the most part. Question Lounge would work I guess?

member cuddle center
I would pay an extortionate amount of money for this to happen. We need something fun and laid back so I say go for it :p

I'm also liking the idea of keeping this forum as a supporter feature to encourage donations and make the supporters closer, plus the place will be flooooooded if everyone can access, but I'm sure this won't be a popular idea haha.

Chris, I think it's because they're just testing different ways during the beta period. Don't think any of the methods are set in stone just yet.

And I think that all members should get a chance to have one of these, but at the same time I understand that'll get really cluttery. So I'm indifferent. I'm fine with it staying supporter only, but if it goes out to all PC, that's okay too. As long as people are getting to know others and enjoy it, that's all that matters.

Not sure...I'm sure that they'll go with whichever one was working better. I did think the other one was a bit awkward with the having to edit their posts and say "approved by so and so" but eh. I haven't been paying much attention to this aspect anyway honestly haha.

Would anyone ever get denied writing an AMA thread? Why doesn't it stay moderated if they wont be? Like.. thread is only visible after moderator approval instead of first having to write here?

I say supporter-only or PRIZE WIN only. I dont like how we've given supporter status as a prize.. supporter status should be left to donation only IMO.. but I can see access into this forum be given as a prize to community events!

Edit: I meant to say "and" instead of or

I'm kind of indifferent to having this be a supporter-only thing. I thought this was gonna something for all members to get to know each, not just supporters. I think it should be like that, all members could be allowed to use. Though I can also see it becoming pretty cluttered considering it already has two pages , almost three, with just supporter/staff being able to use it. Maybe some limits though?

If we open this to the whole forum, it'll be very busy but could be quite interesting. I'm curious to see how it'd go, personally.

While I understand the hesitation, I would still like to see this forum opened to the public at some point in time. No offense to anyone here, but I personally would like the community as a whole to get the chance to know me as a staff member and as a person, not just a core group of cool cats with special access. I think something like this could do far more good open to everyone than hidden behind closed doors.

I know some poor people I would like to get to know ;)

People are going to forget about this if it's not made available to them…kinda like the VIP lounge (except that has a good reason to be exclusssive).

Also more people=more questions and that's always cool

I have a sort of system that I plan on trying once this testing period is over with that I mentioned in the original planning thread for this whole thing in the suggestions section of PC. I've been given a go-ahead once this forum is finished but if I'm given the go-ahead now I would like to actually start it at the end of next week if that's possible just to get the ball rolling ;3

There's no guarentee that this testing period will ever be over given that it seems to be working quite well. I'm also keen on seeing this continue to be a supporter perk as I originally suggested, as we're always looking to give members more rewards for donating.

My only concern is this: is it possible that there could be some sort of limit established for when a thread creator can bump his/her thread, other than waiting a month? It just seems to be quite a long time to wait (lmao this makes me sound so impatient but yeah), but I was wondering and thinking of a different limit of some sort could possibly be established. Perhaps after not getting questions for about...I would say a week? Perhaps maybe it's okay to bump, or do you guys think it's better just to wait a month before bumping? x_x

I have a similar rule in Challenges, actually. If you were the last person to post and a month has gone by, you're permitted to double post and bump the challenge, even if it's not yours. It gives other people time to join in and play the challenge, which in MIC's case, a month would give people the chance to still post a question and such. I know a month seems like a long gap, but I don't really think it is. I mean...I remember thinking "oh it'll be a long time before my class starts at the end of the month!" and here we are where it's getting close to it starting soon. Time goes by fast haha. :P Not looking forward to that class, btw.

Plus, there's only so much we all can really ask each other until this forum gets stale because we're restricting it to 1/20th of the memberbase.

We'll just have to see, I guess. Like I said in the original thread, me making 2 threads in Other Polls or whatever is more manageable than opening up a new section. We can see how that goes and then expand it to the public. Maybe we can keep both running. That one as a taster, and this one as a perks thing?
It's a bit hard to test here because it feels that everyone who is a supporter really likes to contribute to the community. We dont know how trolly things can get if we open it up to the public.. though I like to think our regular memberbase is pretty good, so I have some hope too!

Just a suggestion.
