valentines?

Used to get free candy, now, not even that. Sorta like Halloween for me, except more sad I guess.
 
Eh. It's just another event for businesses to squeeze money out of us.

Love shouldn't have more significance on a particular day just because people tell you it should. You'll find the right person at the right time, chin up guys!
 
I was actually thinking of making my friends some witty cards, but the problem is that I can't force myself to be clever. I have to be opportunistic. So hopefully I have some influx of genius between now and the 14th.
 
Valentine's Day only reminds me that I need to get into a relationship as quick as possible, or else I'll remain single and be forever alone. You all singles should feel the same way too, because how are you going to keep your family bloodline alive for generations if you're the last of your kind?
 
I've hated Valentine's Day for quite a few years now. It reminds me of just about everybody else in my age group in my general area, who all already have boyfriends and girlfriends or are married-some of them have been taken since they were still in school! Same goes for Sweetest Day as well. Both these 'holidays' can go to the crapper for all I care. It's not like I'm going to get a girlfriend any time soon, what with my situation and all other things.
 
It was any normal day for me, as long as I don't go outside or school. ugh. kissing.
 
Valentines day is just another reminder for me that I am alone :') I do look forward to it though as it is a special day for my family haha. My brother was born on V-day and that alone is pretty cool! Not to mention the amazing candy that is available 8D

Besides. Even girls that would be ugly on the outside have guys. I guess we are the new bottom line :/
 
I think this day is stupid because why should you give presents on one day to your special person not any other day. Plus it's unfair to people without boy/girlfriend/finace/fianee/wife/husbands. I have never celebrated this day with any of my special people.

It was just so unnatural for an introvert like myself.
Probably because of the over-attention I was getting from everyone else. I really hate valentine's day though, not because of the idea or the day, I like both, its usually because of the people. SOME people.

Valentine's Day has gotten lost in all the commercial bull of this generation. I love the concept: That it's a day where you can take a day out and do something special for your loved one, but I don't see why that actually needs a special occasion marked out for it.

When my brother and I were smaller my mum had this tradition that she'd get a card written up for each of us from a "secret admirer" and sent to us. It was really cute to do, but weird cause at that age I didn't even know any guys {XD}

Yes exactly!! I was actually thinking of those as I typed that. XD (Particularly the Choo-Choo-Choose Me one).
 
I've plans to go visit the boyfriend from February 7th to 16th. Hopefully the weather among other things will comply, though. :( crossin' my fingers!

The holiday isn't anything special other than to suck money out of us though so I don't care much for it, but it's always nice when your significant other remembers to at least wish you a good one.
 
I never had a Valentine on Valentines day before. None of my relationships landed on Feb 14. It's fine though, I don't really consider it a holiday. It's kinda dumb. If I had a relationship that fell on the day, I would probably just take them to dinner or something.
 
It should be changed to single and proud day tho
 
What have you guys got against a celebration of love tho? I mean being turned off by the maketing/ads/etc I get but seriously what's wrong with there being a day for giving, receiving, and appreciating affection?
