Watch Out For Ghosts... (Read first post!)

The days before Fairy-type was a thing... was when Ghost/Dark-types had absolutely no way to take natural super-effective damage. And wait switching Wonder Guard onto Eelektross would still make it weak to Ground hahahaha

Any electric Pokémon can only be hit by ground moves, which is an amazing shield. The only problem is Earthquake is a much used move, making it one of the only highly powered physical moves without drawbacks or loss of accuracy. It also doesn't make contact.

Shedinja won't survive at all in OU, as Stealth Rock lands an instakill by itself.

25

Ah yes the dreaded entry hazard... and all the Pokemon it renders "useless" because of a notable weakness to said hazard. Blame yourself, Stealth Rock.

26

Pokémon like Articuno and Talonflame get hit really hard by the hazard, but luckily they are immune to Spikes but that's hardly used, due being a lot less efficient than Stealth Rock. Then there's Toxic Spikes, but that's not used at all. Sending in a poison Pokémon shouldn't remove them in my opinion.

Rapid Spin is a must when you're using Talonflame. I always try to have at least one spinner on my team when I use it, otherwise those rocks make it almost unusable -_-

28

I feel like the overcentralization of Stealth Rock is solely why most teams need a Rapid Spin user in the first place. Or else it makes a Pokemon you want to use well, "useless".

^I'm not a competitive player and even Flare can see why that's a good idea.
But can she see why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch

I think the ghost girl in Phoebe's Elite Four room is creepier @_@

But the Lumiose ghost girl comes in close second

OK SERIOUSLY I CAN'T SEE HER IN THOSE VIDEOS AND PICTURES OF PHEOBE'S GHOST GIRL CAN SOMEONE ACTUALLY EXPLAIN??

31

That would indeed be a great move.

OH OK IT'S NOT LIKE I WAS UNDER MY BLANKET SUPPOSED TO BE ASLEEP OR ANYTHING TT_TT

But thanks XD
How did anyone even notice that?? O_o It seems like a thing that'd be up for only a few framerates....

I'm curious to see if we can get to 150 this time.

As you can see from the front page..... I'm already a Pumpkaboo. :T Life is- er, Death is good?

I always love when people do some cool revamps and devamps of Pokemon sprites. I feel like I rarely see those kinds of artists around now that the games are in full 3D.

43

Yes, they're really cool. It shows how much difference there is between the spriting styles of different generations. I must say I adore the second generation sprites, certainly Crystal's animated ones.

44.

Magnemite's sprite animation is hilarious. I know it's spaztic in Emerald, but I dorgot if the Crystal sprite is too.
Also, there's a Red randomizer online with all generation Pokemon randomizable in it, it's really popular in the Randomized Nuzlocke challenge thread. Some sprite devamps are awesome, then there's Victini.....
