I don't see the appeal of shiny hunting other than how cool some of them look in different colours. I'd get it if they had some sort of stat advantage or hidden ability but I just find it too time consuming.

I found three random shinies, but two of them were in hack games. They still were random encounters though.

I used to be in competitive battling for a bit, but now I only play occasionally against my friend or my brother. They're just as terrible as I am, so it's a fair match. I do really want to get back to it, but whenever I visit the Battle Server it seems there's hardly anybody on, probably because of the obscure timezone I live in.
If you want to learn it, I suggest keeping an eye on PokéCommunity Daily, since I heard Dragon is going to write a quick guide on it soon. :)

Speaking of Daily... have you guys seen this? What do you think, is it real? Are you hyped?

The leak must be a big deal if I heard about it first from a coworker. I then had to check PC to see if he was telling the truth!

Right now, the possible titles reminds me of the third Japanese anime opening, "OK!" There's a line in there that goes "Golden sun and silver moon!" Back then, it was because of Gold and Silver being the Johto games, but... Another G/S/C remake?

So have you guys seen the Pokémon Direct today? What did you think?
Personally, I was hoping to hear more about GO, but I'm glad they confirmed Pokémon Sun and Moon. They didn't show us a lot, but there were a few interesting art concepts. What do you want to see in the new games?

Really, I just want a new Region and Pokemon. Oh, and also player customization in like in XY (with more male character options).

I don't know yet which one I'll get, but I'll probably wind up with both. That's been the trend with me and the main series games since Diamond/Pearl, with the exception of OR/AS. I only got OR.
