Yeah I'm homeschooled too so I feel for you, Flare. I'll definitely agree going to a certain place in the game's region (if it's available, unlike the Moss/Ice Rock in HG/SS) or building friendship in order to evolve is neat! Maybe they'll add more Pokemon that evolve in love-based ways, thanks to the Amie. c:

I'd love to see more unique ways to evolve Pokemon. I was a fan of how Pancham evolved personally with needing another Dark Type in your party.

Some sad news guys, it appears we won't get official Sun & Moon info for at least another month. The new CoroCoro issue is instead about a Volcanion event for Japan.

I actually didn't mind the Elemental Monkey line. It seemed to suit the story well enough; and I was glad that for once, the gyms weren't just a monotype wonder. You actually had a choice of which type you wanted to take on, well sort of, and ended up being able to avoid a potentially bad time at an early gym.

I've always felt like it's not as good to have types you're weaker to as early gyms...seems silly to me and only makes the game more frustrating initially. I'd actually prefer if difficulty in a game scales up after progression, linearly, not in an exponential or other unpredictable way.

I agree, i thought the elemental monkeys were great. So helpful in the beginning though I usually didn't train them all the way through. Only did it with Simisage once

I'm sure we'll get it soon enough. I'm quite excited for the Water/Fire pairing, should be quite interesting!

Super Training could be a good method for evolving a Fighting type!

Re: elemental monkeys, I didn't even use them lol. I just boxed whatever I got. Not a fan of their designs.

Am I really the only one who likes those monkeys? Maybe it's because I'm a Year of the Monkey person so naturally I love monkey Pokemon.

Eh, I'm not a fan of the monkey designs either. Their first evos are alright, but I prefer the Aipom and Chimchar line by far (can't really say the same for Mankey). xD I always stored mine in the PC. :s

Oh man, Mankey and and Primeape are my kind of Pokemon! Though i prefer Chimchar and its evos more, the Mankey will always have a special place for me as the original monkeys

Yeah there really no fire types at all...It was what? Chimchar line, Ponyta line and Magby line? (not sure about Magby even but I know Magmortar is there)
