have any of you guys ever tried those weekly meal delivery services? i signed up for one just now, 2 meals a day for Monday-Friday for this week, lunch and dinner (but really i can eat it anytime of the day lol). it costs just as much as an entire weeks worth of groceries so i figured it was a good deal, and i've been meaning to eat healthier stuff over the usual canned meats anyway. i know i can just buy healthier foods, but i'm reaally lazy with cooking, especially if it's more than just 3 steps lmao.

i've been having a really good time overall! everything's been delicious and i'm not overeating or anything. they even tell me how many calories are in per meal! thinking of sticking to this for a while...

I'm eligible in the program I'm doing! They're super helpful and even hire some former students.

As someone who works in the shipping industry, I would just like to say I've had nightmares about work because of people like you. XD
I've loading entire semi trailers with nothing but those meal plan boxes. Tetris gets surprisingly difficult when every. single. box. is the exact same shape. Although your review on them answers my question as to whether or not those Hello Fresh boxes actually stay fresh after being shipped in those extremely hot trailers.

I'm way too poor for that lol. I'll garden and grow my own damn tomatoes tyvm! (。・`ω´・。)

Never tried the weeklies, most we did was grocery delivery for the first time during COVID. I'd be curious to try though!

    omg lol
if they're the same shape though, wouldn't it be easier to just stack them all together, rather than boxes that are shaped differently? I am probably clueless aha

Nope never! Nothing looked very appealing to me and it didn't seem worth the money but I could be very wrong on that. I could definitely do with healthier eating at times but fine with the diet/portions I eat now, I eat very small meals so I might actually be too full if I were to do those weekly meal deliveries. :')

Yes and no. There's no awkward shapes to work around, but they also don't lock in as tight because of just forming straight towers so they can fall easier when the trucks move around. And a fair amount of those food boxes can get surprisingly heavy, especially after moving tons of them rapidly for hours.

These services are a bit scary to me, because they highlight just how many people in modern day society don't know how or just won't cook for themselves. I'm also someone who enjoys cooking and I grow a garden every year just to get the freshest vegetables, fruits, and herbs for cooking. So the whole concept to me is a bit jarring. My only hope is that someone may get one of these services in an effort to learn.

I tried it for a short time, but I wasn't a fan. The food they sent me was 1. disgusting and 2. made with super small portions. Like, I was still hungry after eating those meals, and they had the right calories.

I'm like, yeah, bought some cookbooks and subscribed to Food Network, I think I'll stick to cooking for myself, thanks.
