What should Gamefreak bring back/Improve upon?

There's a lot with pokemon that can be easily improved. What do you think could be brought back or improved to make the game better?

This is what i think:

Certain HMs can be forgettable. Most notably, fly. it's an optional HM, so it should be forgettable.
as long as TMs can be used more than once, most HMs can be forgettable. the one exeption is surf/dive but only if you are actually surfing or diving.

Or maybe Hm's shouldn't take up a move space.

or even natural TMs. water pokemon are always swimming anyway, so each one should know surf without taking a move space.

The GTS and Wondertrade need leveling systems. If I put out a shiny legendary on wondertrade, I don't want a lv. 1 weedle. Also, you shouldn't be able to offer a magikarp on GTS for a Giratina.

Also, preventing events on the GTS should also be easy. they should block a list of actual event pokemon (like Jirachi) instead of using ribbons.

If they bring character customization back, make it less stupidly expensive. No one would pay 120000 for some stupid looking pants, when you can spend 8000 on an awesome looking shirt. That stupid hotel in X/Y as well. 100000 to heal your pokemon, when there's a pokemon center right outside? come on Gamefreak!

There are pokemon outside of their poke balls all over the place, so Bring back the pokemon walking feature! maybe if you talk to them, it brings up pokemon Amie or something.

Make skiddo/Gogoat and a couple others rideable. I can ride random other pokemon in the world, so i think it would be more enjoyable to ride your own.

Swap gym Tms with HMs.
if you need a badge to use an HM, that's great and all, but the gym leader should give you the HM instead of a TM. otherwise, the badge is near useless.

Lots of single evolution lines, or even doubles, need evolutions or mega evolutions.
Luvdisc, Durant, Heatmor, Furfou, Spirtomb (since it has weaknesses now, it could use an evolution, or a mega) Seviper, Zangoose, delibird, Toarkoal, Dunsparce looks incomplete with those tiny wings.

Dragonite should have a mega, all the other psuedo legendaries have one (except the newest ones)

A lot of people are going to hate me for this, but since beedrill got an evolution, why not butterfree?
Slowbro got one, why not slowking? or froslass?

And they need more cute megas, like altaria.


Numel should evolve into Torkoal not Camerupt.

Pretty much everything you just said. But I want to add contest battles. Why were they in the anime TWICE but not in the game I mean they don't even have to program in the combos we should still be able to win by the point system or by actually winning the battle! Oh and I think they should bring back mini games like Voltorb Flip or the slot machine. Maybe not V flip but still I liked the side mini games. And I do kind of like V flip even though most get mad and say it is a game that has no logic when it does just not the logic they want. Meaning it is easy and can be done without a lot of thinking.

Since this is about the Pokemon games rather than the franchise as a whole, I'm going to move this over to Pokemon Gaming Central. And I very much agree with Butterfree, Froslass, and Slowking getting Mega Evolutions. They're 3 of my favorite Pokemon, so I'm going to keep patiently waiting until we get them!

Really they should just bring back most of the stuff they don't include in every single game. I still do not understand why all these perfectly good features and things are not consistently in every main series game

I want Pokestar Studios back. I'd also like to see Super Secret Bases, Hidden Grottos, and the PWT back.

The DexNav (or whatever is going to be in the following games) should show the wild Pokemon's nature. What if you catch a Poochyena with perfect IV's in every stat, and it turns out to have a Modest nature?

I pretty much agree with everyone. I'd also love to see another game with two regions. Thats what I loved about Gen 2.

Definitely what Achromatic said about the following pokemon. It was awesome.

I've been thinking that Game Freak should bring back Walking Pokémon, because it's fun to walk with any Pokémon that I like, and I also wished that they would bring Trainer Customizations back because that's what makes trainers unique in many ways.

And if possible, I would want the Ball Capsule system to come back, but with better implementation, like being able to put the Seals to the Pokéballs and detaching them without having to go to the Pokémon Center.

- Following Pokemon
- Rematch gym leaders (I know you can rematch them in X/Y, but I'm more towards rematching them with a full 6 Pokemon team, since from what I read the gym leaders you rematch in X/Y only have 2 Pokemon and this isn't challenging)
- Mini games like the Pokeathlon, and even though I don't really miss the Game Corner much, I don't mind having it again for a nice good little addition since for some reason the Gen 1 rereleases manage to keep the Game Corner.

- Poketch App
- VS Seeker

Here's one, bring back the Challenge Mode from B2/W2, and improve upon it. Make all or at least most plot important fights use Mega Evolutions once you get access to it (now that's a scary thought...), and just do whatever else made Challenge Mode what it is. I think that'd be fun, and it would satisfy the "pokémon games are too easy" crowd.

Also, make your pokémon's happiness actually matter, and make it at least a bit harder to get max happiness. Like if your pokémon has low happiness, they won't fight for you and maybe actually run away if you just suck that much? Right now all happiness counts towards is two moves and a couple of evolutions, but I'd like to see it expanded upon since they haven't done a thing with it since Gen 2.

VS. Seeker is the main thing for me, I found that to be a god send when grinding for Gym or Elite Four battles. I'd love to see an updated version of the follow-me feature for the 3DS games too.

Adding on the mentioned Follow Me feature. Follow Me should be a combined with PokeAmie, instead of touching the buttons on the touch screen, you talk to your Pokemon in order to play Amie with them.

Dexnav, trainer customization, having your lead poke follow you around, PokeAmie, secret bases, Battle frontier, underground(I liked both gen 3 & 4's bases), Vs. Seeker, pokemon world tournament, bug catching, hidden grottos, Soaring in the sky(was nice not needing fly), etc (basically everything that has only been included in some ganes but not all) are all things I think should come back/stay.

More megas for pokemon that really need them, or evolutions/ new stats for pokemon that cannot be used competitively in basically any tier without being OHKO'd for example Delcatty or Farfetch'd. I know there are pokemon I would love to use for ther design, movepool, abilities, etc but their stats are so horrible that I know they wouldn't survive a single hit without focus sash and cannot really deal damage or outrun anything either.

It could add more variety, granted the megas and fairy type were good for competitive battling imo already though some of the pokemon that got megas really didnt need them.

Bring back gym rebattles. I kind of missed it since the last time we had it was HGSS if I remember correctly, and that wasn't even proper for me since we don't face the leader inside the gym.

It's kind of awesome to see that other ingame characters are growing as your journey continues.

Plus it brings awesome post-game content which, for me, XY and ORAS are definitely lacking. XY has no post-game at all, while ORAS has nothing once you're done with the Delta Episode

make the exp. share worthwhile. the reason most people dont use it is because it makes the game too easy, so bring back challenge mode, or just make the game harder.
