Okay. I think i have found my team.

1. Rowlets last Evo (Named: Vinci)
2. Greninja (Named: Hanzo)
3. Alolan Ninetales (Named: DragonSlayer)
4. Alolan Raichu (Named: Cakes) x3
5. Blaziken from a trade. (Named: Hercules)
6. Snorlax (Named: Laeta)

This is what I'm thinking about now. I'm still not really feeling any more sure after the datamine to be honest.

Robinroot and Drampa are the two I feel confident about using.

I'm not sure after that. I think I'll need typings and animations to make up my mind.

It's unlikely that I'll end up using the toucan or the mushroom though since I already have a Grass and Flying type (and I'm only going to double down on types if I really want a Pokemon on my team)

Alolan forms were definitely a let down, although my expectations were already kinda low. The one I was most interested in using was Alolan Meowth and that....didn't turn out great. Exeggutor was another I liked but it's Grass/Dragon typing is definitely redundant for my team.

I have decided that Litten will be my starter for my first playthrough, and if I do a second playthrough with the other game, then Rowlet will be my starter. And maybe I'll catch and train a lot of Pokemon, so that I can have lots of fun at the Poke Pelago. But for now, I'll list the teams that I eventually want to work towards.

In my Litten team, I'll definitely have a new Water type and a new Electric type. Other possible contenders include:

If Litten doesn't become Fire/Fighting: Bewear, Crabrawler, Kommo-o, Passimian

In my Rowlet team, I'll have a new Water type and a new Electric type that I didn't use in my Litten team, as well as a new Fire type. Other possible contenders include:

There's not really much datamine crucial stuff for my team, but I'm putting it under spoilers just in case:

Those starter concept final evos are now confirmed thanks to the demo, but they didn't give any typings. So, depending on whether Litten's evo is Fire/Fighting or not, I've developed two possible teams:

Not Fire/Fighting:

Urchin
Silvally (Grass)
Litten3
Lucario
Lycanroc
A-Raichu

Is Fire/Fighting:
Greninja
Rowlet3
Salandit evo
Bewear
Lycanroc or Silvally
A-Raichu

Of course, this is under the assumption that if it isn't Fire/Fighting that it's gonna be Fire/Dark. If it's something like Fire/Steel I'll probably have to make some changes.

I will seriously soft reset for a shiny Rowlett. Tapu-Koko's shiny form is probably impossible to get but ugh, black and orange is such a good colour combo.

Those are the concrete ones. Considering Alolan Dugtrio just because of how ridiculous it looks, and Turtonator for that sweet typing.

Though I usually never use pokemon that your rival uses (for some reason) so this could all change.

...and whatever else I can find :( If Popplio doesn't become Fairy-type, then either Alolan Ninetales or Ribombee will be going on my team. The final slots will probably just be filled with whichever Pokemon I like who are found early in-game. I'd like to use an all-Alolan team, but I don't think that's gonna happen after seeing the data mine leaks.

apparently Crabrawler's evolution is the snowman they were talking about. Supposedly there was a word in translation that could mean either yeti or snowman, and Crabrawler's evolution resembles a yeti crab. No idea about the dolphin though.

I used to want Oricorio, but I was assuming it evolved since it looked like a first-form. It may still be in consideration depending on its stats and movepool and such.

Rowlet ,Silvally and Jararanga are the only final members of my team.I am still confused with Marowak/Salandit and Vikavolt/Raichu because the Salandit evo we saw in data mine leak and i don't use two pokemon of same type in my in-game team so I'm also confused between Raichu and Vikavolt.

Which means you'll be able to obtain Ralts and/or Kirlia. Which means Gallade. Since the datamine didn't show the Ralts line in the regional dex, chances are they'll be obtainable post-game.

I refer you to page 8 of the Ultra Beast's Dimension Discussion page that has all the sprites for the Alola Dex. The Ralts line isn't in there.

I think I will start with Rowlet and actually keep it on my team. Archer 'mon is kinda cool.

Post game will not doubt have more catchable pokemon. Always does in one form or another. They only datamined the Regional Dex, not the National. I don't think they would stop that, mainly because they said they wanted new ways to obtain all pokemon in a game.

So this will be my team until we get typings for all pokemon.

I usually use more than 6 pokemon in my playthroughs, using a switch tactic. But I will say I will also be using Vulpix, Arcanine, and Wimpod. There is also a number of other that I will be using depending on what there typing is, but until then, the 6 listened are my main team. Depending on what the typings to some pokemon are, they may be relalced.
