SO XENOBLADE IS COMING OUT ON NEW 3DS SO NOW I DEFINITELY HAVE TO GET IT EVEN MORE THAN I ALREADY DID BEFORE
^

That pretty much sums up my opinion about the New 3Ds.

I just wish that it didn't come out so soon after I bough my 3DsXL :/

I'm conflicted on to whether or not to get the New 3DS. On one hand the C-Stick is going to be ever so useful in my countless hours of MH4U. On the other hand, it would mean I would have three different 3DS versions in my possession; original, XL, and New if I were to buy it. Xenoblade is one of three games that I herald as an all time favourite...

Decisions. Decisions.

AWW SCREW IT LET'S BUY IT.

Why am I seeing neorice sprite avatars?

also, super smash mario*

Goodness Jak, that was announced with the news about the New3DS and used as the (only one thus far) example of exclusive software it'd have. =p

But yeah, Xenoblade is tempting. I've played it, but it was borrowed from a friend. I wouldn't mind having my own copy and supporting the developers of a heck of a good game imo.

I'm actually holding out on the Wii version because of this. I'm a handheld person so I'll find it more convenient to play it if I can take it with me wherever I go.

I dunno. Big RPG like that doesn't strike me as being well suited for pick up and play on the go.

Speaking for experience as I didn't enjoy a 3DS port of an RPG I probably would have loved otherwise

I really don't see Xenoblade translating well to a handheld system. It's an absolutely massive game and those environments really beg to be seen on a big screen (jaggies and all). Seems like it might be another Tales of the Abyss situation - I adored that game when I played it on PS2 but it didn't translate well to 3DS at all.

Never BLADE a Xenoblade or watched gameplay of it. I guess when the time comes around for it and when I get Smash Bros. I'll look into it. As for RPGs go, I've been playing a lot of Fallout: New Vegas. Like 4 hours on just that game over this weekend. 8 hours so far, trying to even it out with my time on Skyrim, which is also 8 hours.

The other day I got a bunch of emulators and stuff and now I am stuck constantly on trying to even out how much of what to play. Mainly between CS:GO, Mega Man, Earthbound, working on my competitive pokemon, and too much other crap. This is the life of being a gamer...

Oh? Which one?

Personally, I don't mind the scale of the RPG regardless of the system. Lately (and by lately, I mean most of the DS' later life up to now), it seems like I'm playing more RPGs on my handhelds than anywhere else.

And, actually, on that note, I've been seriously pondering whether I should get the n3DS or the n3DSXL. I'm definitely getting one of the two, because my current 3DSXL has a dead pixel that kills motivation to enjoy the art or use 3D, as well as Battery degradation from thousands of hours in the Music channel, but the thing is...

...I've been playing on XLs since the DSi. Since then, the 3DS and DS screens apart from the XLs have just been too small for me, and even if they do result in stretching, the screen size is worth it (and, with the 3DS vs XL, I've always enjoyed the latter's sleeker design). In comes the n3DS
with a larger screen...That said, the more I look up, the more it looks like I'll still be sporting the XL. The size is a difference of .35 inches compared to the original, in comparison to the XL's 4.88 inch design, putting them at exactly an inch's difference. Not too mention that I'm a fan of solid colors, so I probably wouldn't buy the faceplates anyway.

The regular has an increase that has a rather modest size increase with minimal upscale loss. Personally, I wish it were larger and more "in-the-middle" for a more proportional gain and loss, and thus, and better size/quality ratio, but what are you gonna do, y'know? The n3DSXL is the same as it ever was, and I don't mind that one bit. But I won't really be able to make a decision until I can actually see the two side by side. Numbers are helpful, but they're just numbers, it's all conceptual. So it's up in the air for now, and I do have almost half a year to decide.

I'm having video game withdrawals today, guys. I just wanna play and not study chemistry. ;o; I bought Ni No Kuni (no PS3 though but it was on sale and I plan on buying one) and Rayman Legends for Wii U yesterday. That should be fun to dig into when my work load lightens up. n___n

This reminded me of my weird excitement when I got my Wii U. I was like "THIS IS SO COOL I CAN PLAY MARIO KART LYING IN BED WHEN THE WII U'S IN THE LIVING ROOM!!!" and then I realized that...I could have gotten it for the 3DS and had that except for everywhere. For some reason it's more exciting to play a console version across the apartment - I guess like it's more exciting to hear your song on the radio?

Depending on the game, you can do all your gameplay right on the gamepad, provided your bed is in range of the Wii U. It can't go terribly far, sadly.

Giving a rough estimate, how far would you think it could go? Because if successful this could definitely change my sleep regiment to say the least.

Well, I have actually played my Wii U outside my room and on my dinner table, which is just outside my room. I reckon maybe... 5-7 meters? More or less.

You could just give it a try, if it doesn't work, it'll say like you're not in range of the Wii U and resume back when you get back in range again.
