    How fast can you guys type? Go ahead and leave your results below! :D

    My family always told me "omg you type so fast, did you ever time yourself?" and I always told them that I didn't know how. Then I got curious and googled how to test how fast I type and found a site to test myself and this was my result:

    74 words per minute with 0 wrong words. I did make some errors and spent a few seconds having to backspace and re-type. My first 2 results were 63 and 67 but I wasn't satisfied so I took it a 3rd time.

    I did a few and got roughly 100 wpm; my nails are super long right now and getting really in the way though. :(
     
    I bombed that test with a 68.

    I know I can type faster than that but I could not get into the swing of things with that test. I type a lot faster when I'm typing stuff that makes sense and not just random words. :/

    I've broken 100WPM before. Don't think it's my average speed, though. Really just depends on what I'm doing. 68-70 might be a good indicator of my average, just not how fast I can actually go if I felt like it. :p
     
    Did another one, currently 6:28 am now, still haven't slept since work (9:30pm-1:30pm) but I think I did alright considering!

    Since my promotion at work, I've been dealing a lot more with computers, so I've been typing a lot. Quite a few coworkers have asked me how fast I type, since I'm so quick at it.

    I did 62 WPM. With three errors.

    One of the words I messed up on was "their," which I always make a mistake on. My fingers go too fast for the letters to go in the correct order, and I never notice that until after I finish typing the word.
     
    I consider this a more tech based thread, even if it is simple typing, so I'm moving this over to Technology and the Internet.

    Apparently I keep improving modestly each time one of these threads comes around. Which I guess makes sense since I work in IT and in my free time I do a lot of web browsing, so I do spend a lot of time at a keyboard, even though I haven't used proper sitting form in years (I always lean back and have the keyboard on my lap at home, and I've got a standing desk at work). I think my score in the last thread was in the low 70s.

    EDIT: Get enough monkeys mashing away on typewriters and eventually they'll luck into some Shakespeare...

    I ended up with 51WPM. I'm not really a one who types fast anyway, let alone use every single finger. I don't really use my pinky fingers.
