[PokeCommunity.com] Year of Gaming - Week #12: Robot Unicorn Attack - ALWAAAAYS, I WANT TO BEEEE WITH YOU!

    Robot Unicorn Attack
    - Week#12 -
Think you have what it takes to be PokeCommunity's best gamer? Prove yourself in PC's Year of Gaming Challenges! Each week a new game will be picked to see who has what it takes to get the highest score in a game ranging from old school to current modern classics. The people with the top 3 scores will be given emblems due to their abilities. At the end of the Year of Gaming, the top 3 overall performers will get unique emblems as well. If you have a recommendation on what we should play next, send me a VM/PM and we'll see what we can do!

[PokeCommunity.com] Year of Gaming - Week #12: Robot Unicorn Attack - ALWAAAAYS, I WANT TO BEEEE WITH YOU!
"Robot Unicorn Attack is a sidescrolling platform game in which the user controls the movement of a robotic unicorn in a manner similar to Canabalt, a game released in 2009. The object of the game is to prolong gameplay without falling off the stage, crashing into the edges of platforms, or colliding with crystal stars (without first dashing). Points are earned with play time, by collecting pixies, and by destroying crystal stars by dashing through them. As the game progresses, the stage slides faster. Jumps and dashes can be chained together while the unicorn is airborne. The player has three lives (referred to as "wishes"), and the sum of the scores from each life count for the player's final score."

You still haven't fixed the Hall of Fame. :<

Funny, while I was playing Nyan Cat Fly!, I was wondering when will Robot Unicorn Attack be next.

I know that my internet in the next few days will be so ****** that I can't open it anymore, like back at Week #10. :'>

I could triple this if I set my mind to it.

    Not Triple, but significantly higher.

Oh, and Matt, you lost your Man Card for picking this game.

Maybe I'll actually be able to do this if I can get access to a better computer but right now it likes to lag out of the platforms even when I'm just running across them.

I could be wrong but I believe there is a Robot Unicorn Attack app that you can get through the store if that might help.

I'll respond to more people/update OP when I get home; currently at the girlfriends place

Are we allowed to use the mobile version instead?

If not that's fine, I'll submit something with the browser one. It's just that I'm a lot better on my phone. xD

Everyone's scores have been added! Check them out to see what place you're in and what you need to get into the top 3!

    I fixed it for you!

Do I need to restore my manliness with next week's challenge? Challenge accepted, mate.

Not too bad, but I know my scores are usually massively out-beaten quickly. :)
You just need to belieeeeeve in yourself!

Are we allowed to use the mobile version instead?
As much I want to say yes, I guess there's a "pay to play" approach with the mobile version so I'm going to say to just stick with the browser version. Nice score nonetheless!

We can't use the mobile version? Should've refreshed the page before playing for like half an hour. Looks like my dreams were dashed against the rocks below...

    Spoiler:

I guess I'll try the browser version later this week when I get the chance.

Well hold on...when you play the two, do you see a difference between how you achieve points? Do you have an advantage?

Other than a bit of browser lag (which may be due to my computer more than anything), I didn't notice too much of a difference, other than my reaction time being a tad slower. Either way, I'll post my browser based score here.

Ah, okay. I forgot it cost money, I've had it on my phone for so long haha. :]

Also apparently I'm not as good at the browser version though haha. Oh well.
