    Roni started a fun thread on listing your favorite albums, and while I was coming up with my answers I realised there are a lot of songs I love individually, far more so than the rest of the albums they come from. So... Here's a place to list your favorite songs! Picking favorite songs can be very hard, and we likely all have many of them that come and go at different times in our lives, but it's always fun to hear about the songs that people love the most. There's no requirement or criteria for what counts here, so regardless of the reason why you consider them a favorite, share away!

    To get us started, here are some of mine:

    I won't do an explanation for every song but will do my best to expand on these choices a little!

    My favourite song of all time has always been Clocks by Coldplay since I was 10. I associate this song with the passage of time and growing up. Whilst that might not be what the song itself is about, I have listened to this at almost every stage of my life and it means a lot to me. I feel like it's a song I always listen to whenever I'm going through a life change so I associate it with that. Feel like if I had a soundtrack to my life I would choose this song. There's something comforting about it that I like. I think I cried hearing it live a little, haha.

    I can't remember how I found The Pretender but it has been one of my favourite songs since I was 13. Just an amazing song all around that I still listen to a lot. I love the Foo Fighters.

    What A Catch Donnie, I hadn't thought about in a while until this thread came up but that song helped me through a lot growing up and I'm still very fond of it.

    Core Pride by UVERworld I have adored since like 7th grade and listened to all the time. Love the lyrics and mostly just a nostalgic song for me.

    I am running out of explanations outside saying that I like the song a lot but I don't have a particular order to favourites after Clocks.

    As a bonus, I love Transatlanticism from Death Cab for Cutie and Tonight Tonight also @ above. Favourite Smashing Pumpkins song.. maybe Cherub Rock? I'm sure I will come back and inevitably add or change this list... :P

    These are some of my favorite songs that got me through the good times and the bad times. I'll listen to these often to help me get through an all-nighter. To me, they are important because some have lyrics containing themes of love, depression, yearning, and pressing forward. Some are just plain catchy and good to sing along.

    I primarily listen to two genres of music, some classic rock/oldies and alternative/pop music, so I've sorted them as such.
