I would like to have a dual type gym of Electric and Ice. I know that really has not been a thing... but why not?

In my ideal gym, I would be the 8th gym leader and there would be two restrictions, 2 hyper potions allowed only, when you go to your bag, 2 hyper potions are the only things that would show up! The second restriction, when the battle starts, your style gets put to set instead of switch 😈 Pokemon listed is the order they would come out.

The match starts with Emolga trying to status and baton pass double team + agility into a bulky Talonflame with Bulk Up, Roost, and Leftovers. Hawlucha comes out next on the, assumedly, rock type you used to beat Talonflame and is just here to get off damage fast. Next is Dragonite, turn one, DD because it lives anything besides a crit Ice Beam, pretty much. Emolga will either Baton Pass into Talonflame or Dragonite depending on who matches up better with the Pokemon currently in. Corviknight comes out late to be tanky and Pressure stall because your Pokemon are probably pretty weak by this point and DD, Sub, Moxie Gyarados to come finish off the game!

I want this matchup to be really hard, having to earn your way into the elite four instead of coasting in like we do nowadays. If this gym is entirely under my control, there is also a level 60 cap and all of my mons are 55-59 with Gyarados being level 60 as my ace (if you bring in overleveled Pokemon, they just get set to level 60). You are rewarded with either Roost or Brave Bird and you have to beat me again if you want the other TM.

The gym would be in a forest and it would be a zip-line maze with 3 unavoidable and 2 option trainers.

Bro, that's not even competitve stuff, most competitive teams would use weather, terrain, baton pass, weakness policy, etc.

I'd pick a Water type gym. Though, I'd like to make things a little more "extra".

Instead of going with a generic building with some arbitrary puzzle elements and random trainers I'd set up an entire island. Fights take a back seat, in fact people would only fight a single battle at the end. Everything else is about solving water themes puzzles as a means to get further into exploring the island. Puzzles ranging from simple surfing tasks, waterfall climbing, but also water carrying, watery illusion "magic", maybe some water level raising/lowering, a rainbow puzzle etc. Goal would be to get to the top of a giant tower right in the middle of the island.

There'll also be rain. It will ultimately culminate into the final battle where the challenger has to fight a party build around rain.

I'd be a Poison-type Gym Leader, with a bit of an Electric touch.

I'd make my gym inspired by a waste-to-energy plant, full of conveyor belts and to-be-recycled trash. Expect to encounter some wild Grimer and Muk along the way.

Galarian Weezing

Weezing here is meant to be a run-of-the-mill offensive Pokémon. However, it also has a Focus Sash, and there's no better time to use Explosion than when you're holding on to 1 HP.

Alolan Muk

Here's where things get gimmicky: Muk holds an Iron Ball, which is certainly not the most ideal item choice on paper. It starts off with Substitute, then hits with a 130-BP Fling thanks to the Iron Ball. Then, it Recycles, and the cycle repeats, if all goes well. If it doesn't, it can resort to old reliable Poison Jab.

Roserade

Roserade has your typical STAB moves, but recently I've become interested in Weather Ball. Roserade will either go out on the offensive on the first turn, or, if it's safe, set up Sunny Day and fire off Weather Balls that can put a dent in the opponents' Pokémon.

Heliolisk

Roserade isn't the only one benefitting from the sun, either. Heliolisk makes the most out of its dangerous playstyle with Solar Beam when the sun's still up, and patching itself up with Parabolic Charge. It also has Weather Ball, and this coupled with a 109 in Special Attack is quite deadly. And in case the sun sets, Surf can get the job done for coverage. Heliolisk functions best in the sun, though.

Galarian Slowbro

Yeah, a physical Galarian Slowbro. Just realized there are quite a lot of special-oriented Pokémon on this team, so I think this one is a nice change of pace. It sets up a bit then lets loose. Pretty simple set.

Charjabug

And to top it all off, here's Charjabug. Charjabug is pretty much my "main" Pokémon, so why not make it my version of Red's Pikachu? Obviously nothing about it is too impressive on its own, and Charge isn't that great a move, but a Gym Leader who uses Charjabug as their signature Pokémon is bound to leave some sort of impression on the challenger.

So you've beaten me? Congratulations. Here's an Energy Badge (which kinda looks like a purple lightbulb) and TMs for Sludge Bomb and Wild Charge.

It was tough trying to decide between Rock and Bug. Bug is my favourite type but Rock is my 2nd favourite and has my two favourite Pokemon in, but I decided on Rock for me.

The Gym

Spoiler:

The primary idea of the Gym is that its all based around gems and stones that the leader has collected over the years, thus the gym shall be based around the Gem Mine that she has created/runs along side her team of both Pokemon and Gym Trainers. I'm gonna present the process through the Gym kinda like a story because why not my creative juices are flowing in brain :3

The entrance to the Gym will look like a regular run of the mill Gym, as the player enters they'll notice the nice looking lobby area of the Gym and greeted by the Gym Guide and things seem pretty normal until you notice the giant gaping hole in the back wall of the room. The Gym Guide will then let the player know that this is a Rock type Gym and that once they're ready to challenge, the Leader will come and explain the Puzzle to you. So once they're ready they'll let the guide know and he'll press a button on a remote he has.

Then after a small delay, a quite large Archeops will swoop out from the hole in the wall, with the Leader on its back. It'll land in front of the entry way and she'll get off and wait for you. (The leader is basically me but instead of wearing Pink and/or Black it'd be your typical Rock colours xD)

"Hey! The names Alyssa and I'm the Rock type Gym Leader of (insert location name here)"
"My gym revolves entire around crystals and gems, I can't get enough of them. The way they sparkle makes my smile beam wider! In order to challenge me, you'll first need to collect four gems for me around my Gym. They're really important and I need them for my collection! Once you have all four, you'll then be allowed into the arena for our fight. If you ever need to leave the Gym to heal your Pokemon then my trust Guide will hold onto your collected gems until you return! Good luck, don't keep me and Rocky waiting!"

She'll then get back onto Archeops and fly her way back into the depths of the Gym. Speaking of which, the Gym itself is a vast mine with lots of tunnels where Alyssa has been digging to find more Gems as the Gym is situation next to a mountain in the region that's famous for being rich with all sorts valuables in it. Its almost like a small maze trying to navigate, but with small cues that'll let you know where you are (in a ways sort of like Wayward Cave from Sinnoh). The walls will be laced with beautiful crystal like lights and the walls held up by your typical mine steel beams, very much a mix between colourful aesthetics and practicality, there are also these vents that cover the ceiling of the Gym that release out a sand so the Gym permanently has the sandstorm weather condition in place . Ever so often you'll come across the Gym Trainers that'll battle you, around about five of them in the whole Gym. While navigating you'll notice shining spots on the ground, these will be the locations of the Gems you'll need to collect with them often protected by an obstacle such as a Trainer battle, a boulder that turns out to be a Golem or having to complete a puzzle using the electrified crystals found inside Unova's Chargestone Cave.

Once all the gems have been found, there is another large opening in the Gym area that leads to the battlefield however you aren't not allowed to enter without all four gems you were asked to collect, when you do you can go inside and approach Alyssa where the Archeops from before stands beside her.

"So, you finally made it huh? Well congrats! You've beaten the Gym Puzzle. Now it's time for the main event, watch as my dazzling Rock Types crush you into dust!"

The Team

Spoiler:

The whole concept of the team is the focus point is still around Gems and Stones, this is because four out of the six member of her team all hold type specific Gems, another member with a Mega Stone and another a Life Orb (I know this isn't exactly one but we don't really know what a Life Orb actually is. These will all be used to her to advantages to try and increase damage output and break through physical walls, the Sandstorm condition is still in place and that is also used to give the team a much needed boost to their special defence.

Alicia the Aggron (F) Item: Steel Gem
Ability: Rock Head
- Head Smash
- Iron Head
- Iron Defence
- Stealth Rock

I really love Aggron and on the team Alicia will be the provide of Stealth Rocks onto the field but she also provides a hulking physical defence on the team, being able to up that even further with Iron Defence and makes use of her ability to deal massive damage with Head Smash and Iron Head is just generally a good consistent damage output which is also boosted by the Steel Gem to inflict huge damage on the first attempt. I would have liked Mega Aggron on the team but the fact it loses the Rock typing I'd rather it fit with the Gym theme because it still has strong usage.

Sophie the Rampardos (F) Item: Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
- Rock Slide
- Head Smash
- Hammer Arm
- Bulldoze

Another long time favourite of mine, Sophie while a very defensively weak Pokemon, can absolutely obliterate opponents with its monstrous attack stat. Combining Life Orb with Sheer Force with moves that compliment it, she can dish out consistently powerful attacks with Rock Slide, use Bulldoze to level the playing field and get it faster, use Hammer Arm for coverage and then is capable of an extremely risky and sometimes last resort ultra powerful Head Smash.

Buster the Alolan Golem (F) Item: Normal Gem
Ability: Galvanize
- Thunder Punch
- Fire Punch
- Rock Blast
- Explosion

Buster is a Pokemon that I've grown close to recently (actually it was regular Golem but I want type coverage). Buster even by her name alone has a very clear gimmick about her but before that, Thunder Punch provides the main offensive attack in her arsenal alongside Rock Blast for strong STAB damage, Fire Punch also comes as extra coverage for her. Now I know what you're thinking "But Normal Gem doesn't work like that with these abilities" and you're absolutely correct however considering this would only ever exist in a fan game, I think its fair to have it work that way and its how I'd personally let it work. Explosion is another last ditch effort attack that allows for an absolutely massive final attack, with it being boosted to extreme levels of power that will be almost certain to take down the Pokemon on the receiving end.

Gemma the Tyranitar (F) Item: Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Dragon Dance

I do like Tyranitar but realistically I just wanted a Mega on the team and I really don't like Mega Aerodactyl. Gemma serves on the team as one of the standout strongest members, being the Mega Evolution. While Sandstorm will usually be up through most of the fight, Sand Stream can still be useful in resetting it back up, in the event someone tries to get rid of it. Crunch will be the main attacking move for consistent STAB damage, opting to not go with a Rock move on her because I prefer the consistence and coverage of the rest, Earthquake allowing for some really power hits and coverage, with Ice Punch also filling in for taking on Grass and Ground types. Finally Dragon Dance coupled with the ridiculously high defences can allow Gemma to seriously be a threat of sweeping the whole opposition if they aren't careful.

Cilan the Crustle (M) Item: Rock Gem
Ability: Sturdy
- Rock Wrecker
- X-Scissor
- Poison Jab
- Shell Smash

Named in reference to Cilan's Crustle from the B/W anime, Cilan serves as both my 2nd favourite Pokemon and my secondary ace on the team. X-Scissor is just a generally great STAB move and Poison Jab providing coverage can prove to be very strong on him. His two main uses however come in the forms of his other two moves, Shell Smash will basically always be used off the bat to allow him to output even more damage and with Sturdy if the defence drops do cause problems he will still be able to survive one hit and attack back. Rock Wrecker is his super powerful move that when boosted by both Shell Smash and the Rock Gem, can be utilised to blow away an opponent.

Rocky the Archeops (M) Item: Flying Gem
Ability: Sigh....Defeatist
- Acrobatics
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Roost

My trusty sidekick, favourite Pokemon and Ace of the Team. Rocky while potentially crippled by his ability (GameFreak PLEASE give it a Hidden Ability PLEASE) while he is above half health he is an absolute attacking monster on the team. Flying Gem boosted Acrobatics will almost certainly take out any Pokemon without really bulky defences or type resistance, Stone Edge provides a high power attacking to make use of its huge attack stat. U-turn and Roost exist as support moves for Rocky, allowing for him to quickly evacuate against counters and heal up back to above half health if need be.

Post Gym Battle

After the gym battle there is still more to her, in both dialogue and also maybeeee what I'd like to do with her if she was an actual character. But anyway following the defeat:

"Aww shucks I lost... well no matter, you've really proven yourself to be strong even against the mighty rock types! So here take this."

You'd then be given the Gym Badge, which would be spherical shaped with a mountain design on the face of the circle, with a bright glistening crystal on top of it, where the light reflects of the surface and glows in the colours of a Rainbow. The Crystalline Badge!

"Isn't it just the most beautiful badge you've ever seen? Anyway take this TM of mine, its one of my favourites!" She'd then give you the TM for Rock Slide.
"Oh? Those Gems I wanted you to collect? Yeah no I didn't actually need them, they're actually all fakes I bought for the Gym! Just give them to the Guide on the way out."

And that's it for the Gym! I feel like later on in the story when mining a whole wall in the Gym collapses and reveals a secret hidden chamber to the real treasure of the mountain: A Diancite and instructions on how to find Diancie, which she'd find and add to her team instead of Rampardos (also Mega Tyranitar would become just regular Tyranitar).

Wow I spent WAAAAAYYY too long on this but I'm glad I did :3

I was thinking about being A Grass Type Gym Leader which would allow me to include my fav stater line that I love the Turtwig line and some other Grass Starters but if I left starters out I would be a Bug Type Gym Leader, not the only type I was thinking of example Electric, Flying or Ice might have been cool but I love Yanmega and there is a lot more Bug Type Pokemon I like that are not duel Flying types and some loss the Bug type when they evolve which means I wont be able to pick out of all bug looking Pokemon and my fav fossil's the Lileep line are not bug types so I will pick a different Fossil Pokemon so overall I am gonna stick with Bug Type Pokemon that may have secondary types :)

I think my Gym will be in a room to stay warm but like have jungle and other natural elements like palm trees, bushes ect , maby there are different levels (like in the Amazon RainForest) you have to fly to on a Bug Type Pokemon.

The badge would be called The Compound Badge like insect Compound eyes especially with Yanmega and the DragonFlies its based on :)

Probs the 4th or 5th Gym in the region :)

Wartortle is currently my favorite Pokémon, Sneasel's part cat, and Frosmoth a moth—three of my favorite things! Wartortle would know Ice Beam to make it fit and would hold Eviolite during rematches.

BUG GYM

Initial battle: Mothim, Dunsparce, Shedinja

Rematch: Mothim, Dunsparce, Shedinja, Flygon, Frosmoth, Volcarona

If you couldn't tell by now, I like when Gym Leaders use off-type Pokémon (as long as they make sense). Flygon is based on an insect and Dunsparce somewhat resembles a hornworm and draws partial inspiration from bees. (As a reference to my favorite moth, the rosy maple moth, my Dunsparce may be Shiny.)

I hate the single type gym leaders, so Imma be a Dual type gym leader. (assuming I'm the last gym leader) I would be an Electric/Steel type Leader, giving the Mecha Badge. The Gym challenge would have the player scaling up a large tower, Using Elevators, fixing lights to progress (or just go through in the dark) The trainers you could end up fighting would have Pokémon around Level 45-50, Items would be hidden in dark corners and eventually the player reaches my Office.

When the player enters, I open with "Took you long enough, wait, you're not the handyman!, oh right, gym challenger, alright, I'll make this quick." And I lead with Galvantula, setting up Sticky Web and Electric Terrain, then they start hitting the opponent with Strong Electric Moves. Next up is Lanturn, who is mainly there to deal with pesky fire types that swapped in to deal with Galvantula. After that Lucario comes out, and is there to Aura sphere Steel Types that tried to body my previous Electric Types, A simple strong attacker! Magnezone is my second to last Pokémon, and is a total beast. Flash Cannon and Discharge are my Main moves, with Body Slam and Substitute as Secondary moves that I use less. My Last Pokémon, The final Gym Pokémon in the Gym Challenge, is my Ace, Scizor.

It's main ability is Technician, running Bullet Punch, Dual Wingbeat, Superpower, and Swords Dance. It holds a Liechi Berry, and can easily out speed and Sweep whatever is left of the Opponent's Team. My winning remarks are: "Comeback later bud, and make sure you tell mark that he's late to Fix these Lights!" and my losing remarks are: "Dang, pretty impressive lil' buddy, not many of you challengers have made it past me." All of my Pokémon are level 54-55 with Scizor being Level 60. My Gym name is the Mechahead Gym, and my badge is called the Technician Badge, and I give the TM for Bullet Punch.

I would be a ground type gym leader with a hiking trail themed gym! You'd have to switch from trail to trail in order to avoid gym trainers. If I was the seventh gym leader, my team would be something like this:
