Your home's on fire

A small box of my mom's jewelry we found after she died.

My first instinct would be to get my pets out, but since in this situation every living thing is already safe I would choose a handmade crochet quilt I got when I was 13 from my grandmother before she died of cancer. Wherever I have gone, be it just on vacation, or away to college or moving to a new residences--that quilt goes with me!

oh gosh... if my family and pets will be safe, then I honestly don't know. I guess my laptop at that point? it's the most valuable and important thing I have. documents like passports can be replaced easily enough. i'm fortunate to not have many things I'd immediately think to save @_@

(if i eventually think of something more important I'll edit this! lol)

My dad was a craftsman and had made a wooden chest, we keep some important things from when he was alive in the chest such as his glasses.

That's what I would most likely aim for.

much like some others, my laptop. it's going to absolutely suck losing my Switch and all the time i've spent on those games (although i guess cloud saves would help for the most part), but i'd rather have my laptop with me and save that.

my dimitri fire emblem plush
cannot live without him

Okay so I'm gonna assume I've got my phone in my pocket like always so I'd probably have to go with the crowd and say laptop? I would hate losing my Xbox and Switch, but I'll be buying the next generation of consoles soon anyway and could replace my Switch in the meantime, my laptop is definitely more important :)

I will probably die trying to get more than one item out. Just because I only have time for one item, and I know this, doesn't mean it'll stop me from trying to rescue all of my belongings...

My. Flipping. Phone. Maybe if I had more time, since I live in the basement with an awesome egress window, I'd save, like, my DS or something? Luckily, there's no family heirlooms or anything I have to protecc
