Your one biggest wish for the games...

A functional challenge mode. One that isn't locked behind beating the other version of the game, but available as soon as the game starts.

A dynamic gym challenge where you can challenge gyms in any order, except unlike in Scarlet/Violet, the gym levels scale to your number of badges.

For Nintendo to release PC ports with official mod support. There's nothing that keeps games alive like an active modding community.

Randomization. Improves the replayability of a game considerably. Prefers an official Nintendo option over a non-official version, given a choice, provided they are just as robust. Results in a more shared experience. Likely needs some decent computer specs to run current and future generation console games too. Removes that issue from the equation.

Probably needs to mark those Pokemon as "No-Trade" or "Randomized-Only" or something like that, depending on the depth of randomization. Floods the GTS with legendaries, impossible movesets, and wild stat spreads otherwise. Kind of already deals with that first one in current software, though.

Removal of like nearly every evolution method to be honest. Stones and items you can use in your game/find to some degree i.e. more than once I don't mind, but honestly pretty much everything else just grates me. No I don't want to flip my console 3 times or do 300 steps on Route 215 during the daytime or spend an indeterminate amount of time hoping my Pokémon loves me enough to evolve or have it be defunct in 5 years time because the system to trade with players now doesn't work.

For GF to reverse Dexit and include the full National Dex going forward. It was one of the best features of Gens 3-7 and bringing it back would massively increase my motivation to finish the Pokedex in the newer games since I wouldn't be forced to leave ~30% of them behind once the new gen launches.

Yeah, the leaks led me to believe this was just an excuse to milk people with DLC, and even then, not all of the cut Pokemon got re-added in the mainline games. At least Gen 3 re-added Pokemon from Gens 1 & 2 eventually.

To have the style of Gen 5 to fulfill nostalgia. i have been playing alot of fangames and it sparked my love for it. Hopefully others would share my sentiement. i love nostalgia even tho i am a 2000's child.

To have some new change in lore or be more creative like fan-games, it's almost always the same, start adventure, beat gyms, go elite four be champion and some post game
Or just really having a multiplayer, imagine your partner messing up your strategy lmao

A TRUE open Pokeworld, bursting at the seams with things to do. While what we got in SV was a good start, it felt VERY unfinished, and didn't have very much to do.

This may sound harsh, but I like playing Pokemon alone, so I hate when the evolution method involves trading. Because the other thing is, as ridiculous as this also sounds, I want my Pokemon. If I have to trade Seadra with a dragon scale to get my Kingdra, then I also want the person to send that same Pokemon back to me.

I have literally just one request, and that is to make the real life country or region that inspired the in-game region more ambiguous. So instead of making the game's region seemingly that real world location but in the pokeworld, it has many areas that are largely inspired by other countries in real life. I also think an in-game region based on 2-3 real life countries would be a good idea.

And yes please get rid of trade evo requirements. I even remember PLA having a trade cable item, so I think other games should also implement that instead.

More side stuff to do that don't involve battling. The games spam you to death with fights and it just gets tedious.
Would love to see something like Pokemon Contests returning for example =3
Or perhaps just fun little sidequests that don't necessarily involve fighting like they did with the requests in PLA.

If they're doing another open world game, have actual level scaling included this time so that it actually makes sense to challenge the Gym Leaders in any order

In my current Scarlet playthrough I have at least been able to somewhat mitigate this issue by using different teams around the same level as the Gym Leaders, but with actual level scaling in Gym Leaders could have different teams and move sets altogether to help make the game more replayable
