are there certain things that are meant to happen or is everything undetermined?

I think everything is undetermined. In particular, I can't imagine war, famine, slavery, etc. to all be destined to happen. Most of the time when I hear people talking about fate, they're talking about it allowing positive things to happen. But if it allows positive things to happen, it must also allow everything else. =/

As far as I'm concerned, everything is just like a series of dominoes. We feel like we can make choices, so we live life like we can. But in the grand scheme of things, that's just an illusion.

Haven't you people learned? In Pokemon, everything less than 100% accuracy doesn't hit. :)

This question has always been a little confusing to me. Many things are inevitable and beyond our control, so they're meant to happen. Things like growing old, growing tired, hungry, and thirsty for example. Then there's random probability, so everything happens for a reason, even if that reason was entirely unplanned.

isn't this a bit too deep for the Off-Topic forum...
