what would be your plan to survive? are you someone who even has good enough survival skills?

edit: i changed my mind. rainforest esque island, your survival is on the line.

i'm gonna need some clarification on what this island has on it

is it the classic palm tree on a hill of sand scenario, or can i expect my survival to be contingent on whether the black smoke monster leaves me alone?

was thinking more palm tree on hill of sand scenario

i want to see how resourceful the rest of pc is at finding and eating whatever they can scavenge. can you all stomach eating bugs if it had to come down to it?

palm tree on a hill? time to eat sand and choke rather than die of dehydration

lmaoooo ok palm tree on a hill would be kinda boring to be honest i change my mind how about...

you're stuck on an island rainforest type scenario because that's way more interesting. at least there's available water should you have the know-how to distill.

assuming i have the appropriate companionship in hallucinations of john locke or helen hunt, depending on whether i remember lost or cast away most clearly, i might be able to last 20 days without serious issue
those last ten days would really test my health if i've been sub par this entire time

assuming i don't fuck up the food gathering and eat a berry that is 50 billion times more potent than ricin, or break my water purification method, or don't get eaten by a polar bear

I think I could make it a good while but I'd probably just give up after a while due to being sick of fish and whatever berries I could forage. I am also out of shape and I am assuming the rainforest is full of wildlife that could hunt me down with ease so maybe I wouldn't last too long

If it's a rainforest, water purification probably wouldn't really be that necessary. It rains a lot in rainforests weirdly enough. So if you could hollow out the inside of a fruit or something you could probably just collect pure rainwater and drink that. Might even flavour it a bit. If purification does become needed, then there's a few ways to do that too - sand purification, boiling and all that.

There'd be plenty of food options too. Fish, fruits (if you can recognise the safe ones) and lots of other wildlife you could potentially hunt and cook. Everyone knows in theory how to start a fire so with enough trial and error - and a dry enough location - that couldn't be too hard to deal with either.

The real trouble wouldn't be finding food or water it'd be not getting eaten by an apex predator, poisoned by some sort of snake or spider or given a blood borne disease by a swarm of mosquitoes. Oh, or dying of exposure. One of those things would definitely happen to me lmao and if not, I'm way too sick to actually hunt food down. So yeah, I'd be fucked.

Find myself a beach and a log. Been too long since i've enjoyed that kind of environment. Who cares for survival. "A lousy way to live" will have it's time later.
