You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

Share your last video game death and/or colossal screw-up with us! No matter how good you are at games, everyone get to witness that loving "Game Over!" screen at some time or another, right? Everyone makes mistakes.

Guess I'll kick the proceedings off: my last video game death came at the hands (claws? tentacles?) of Draygon in Super Metroid. The three before that came from him, too. I freakin' hate this boss.

I believe my latest death was from playing Friday Night at freedy's, and I got careless, basically, haha. Like, I heard that it was coming from the vent, but I wasn't fast enough to seal it because my phone rang, gah and I got distracted. By the time I saw him out the window, I was like, okay yeah, just kill me! I just accepted my death like a man. :3

Destiny. My friends and I were doing a Raid mission on Hard - meaning if you die you're dead for good, no respawn - and while I was preoccupied texting my friend I had one hand on my controller and ended up walking off a cliff and committing suicide. Little to say except my friends were pretty pissed at me haha.

This is why you don't text a dr- I mean play video games.

My most recent death was in Deus Ex. I accidentally fell off a building. It's really sad actually.

I fell down in Captain Toad.
And I have to say that skull toad insignia really stands out in this adorable game.

It was most likely from falling onto spikes again while playing Ori and the Blind Forest.

Love that game but good god. I'm dying so much in it right now most of it from falling onto spikes I swear to god. I need to remember to stop pressing my down button on accident so I stop rocketing downward into them.

At least there's no actual game over in that game and then I'll just inevitably find something else to die to.

Had to use a continue in Dungeon Fighter :(

Used a skill too early, which led to my Witch's BnB being screwed up since I couldn't continue the combo. Then the boss proceeded to one-shot me once he recovered, because Witches with that "top tier" defense.

I was playing minecraft on my 360 and I found this massive cave. It went from about the middle of a mountain all the way to bedrock and I spent a good 20 or so real time hours exploring the whole thing. There were several spawners that I managed to take care of but I finally mapped out the whole thing and got to the final spawner. There were 4 skeletons and a spider spawner. I started to get a little too comfortable. There was 3 wood blocks leading off from the main platform that the spawner was on. I shot off the skeletons and then instead of using my bow to shoot the one spider that was left I decided to fight it. I hit it a couple of times and then it knocked me off the platform. I was sure I was going to die on impact, but instead I fell into water that was filled with literal hundreds of spiders and the skeletons that I had knocked off. There were so many monsters that all I saw was a wave of red come at me and I got poked a couple of times by the skeletons' bows and then I died. I was very upset because I hadn't even set a spawn point in the cave or anything. I've pretty much given up on playing minecraft now haha.

So, be me, playing SSB3DS one Wednesday night, and you face a Rosalina player. Rosalina is satan to fight, so Captain Falcon and I, we decide we can't be bothered battling the For Glory 'Lina.

Falcon Kick off the stage twice, resulting in a loss. Self-destruct, committing suicide, call it what you will.

...and the winner is, Rosalina and Luma!
    IT HURTS

    Bioshock Infinite.
There was a Vox guy who was laying on the ground, with about 1/8 health left, and I couldn't kill him. So I go look somewhere else for a bit, come back and he was up and shot me in the head. What.

I was lost in the dark corners of time in the Vault of Glass in Destiny

    goddammit Atheon

While I was playing FE (the GBA one with the three lords) I was in a tutorial mission and having most units at around the same level except for Lyn, I decided to let her kill one of the low level enemy units for EXP. Said enemy unit landed a critical hit and one-shot her...

Got killed by an Ob Lily again today in PSO. I hate those things. Poison and Nar Lillies are virtually harmless, but Ob and Mil Lillies are fucking annoying with their instant death spit.

And then I just got wrecked so fucking hard 4 times in a row by this Jigglypuff in Smash 4 For Glory......

I got hit my a train in GTA San Andreas while trying to kill some gang bangers for Big Smoke. God damn it.

all of these GG's happened at the same year, THIS YEAR of course in different periods.

    Epic Battle Fantasy 4:

I actually got wiped out by the second boss of the game, the Praetorian because of RNGfuckness. Basically the boss landed a crit on my whole party, with the healer Natalie dying first, and the rest of the team getting pelted with lasers and rockets from the Boss's cronies.

    Pokemon black and white 1

5th badge first attempt vs Clay
I got wiped by Clay's Excadrill since none of my party was at level 31, and his Palpitoed actually dealt a lot of damage to the members of the team, including a brutal KO to my Swagalypgh who was needed to provide Tailwind. Since my party got wiped and i lost a lot of money, i count that as a game over and had to restart from the last save point.

    Mario and Luigi Dream Team:

The fight with Bowser when he fuses with the game's main antagonist. Yes I lost that fight because i couldn't dodge some of the more brutal attack segments from Bowser, and I was hesitant to use the shrooms (pots) to heal.

    Latest version of DJMax Technika

I was strolling on the arcade with my girlfriend and she wanted to play Technika but since i wanted to play as well, i figured I show her that its not as easy as it is. So i swiped my powercard, played the game, and being a complete moron at that time, rather than play on Easy, i picked Normal because Wynaut, and picked a song. Step by Kara, then GG gameover because i had no idea on how to time it right since its been years since i played a round of Technika.

Path of Exile - Bloodlines League.

Path of Exile is well known in the Action RPG scene for its Races were people fight to climb the exp ladder, all while surviving the whole ordeal since most of the epic races are Hardcore Races. Hardcore = death. My latest RIP on a character was on my previous Melee 2Hand Mace Melee Splash Infernal Blow Marauder, my staple character since Standard. Basically the worse pack to face on Act 3 Merciless (the game's equiavalent to Hell of Diablo standards) Lunaris Temple 3. Its a hall way full of monsters that cast Unholy fire, a Damage over time skill that deals periodic damage against anyone near them, then monsters that shoot projectiles or what we in the PoE community called "Tittybitches". The best part of that pack is that they all had the most ridiculous mods that would shit on my character = Elemental Reflect. My character's way of clearing mobs is to kill what I'm whacking then when it explodes, the corpse deals a percentage of its max HP against all surrounding enemies, while at the same time, my character deals splash damage with its melee attack. The power of Infernal Blow and Melee Splash. Next thing I know, I was pelted by the tittybitches but because i panicked and forgot that I was fighting a reflect pack, i killed my target but ALL OF THE SPLASH AND EXPLOSION DAMAGE got reflected back at my character. RIP. KO. DEATH. Lvl65. Lost Forever. Oh yeah, the best part, not only did the champion of the back had a reflect aura, i was surrounded with Blue packs with Extra Health, all while under the influence of ELEMENTAL REFLECT So that extra health meant extra corpse damage + elemental reflect. I was late to realize that i was lacking in FIRE RESIST because not only i wasn't having the best of gear, i was under an Elemental Weakness curse. GG2SPOOKEE5ME

Playing Melee on PoE is hard in a hardcore league especially with the latest patch with the nerfs to Melee tankiness. Sigh.

I fell off the Tower in Destiny after seeing what our most beloved Xûr sold this week.

Lost in two rounds to Bruno Buccellati in the first fight in Part 5 of Jojo All Star Battle. Worse still is I was playing on easy and had him down to really low health. But he just has to go and pull off brutal supers and takes me out. Darn halved attack power. An annoying hindrance.

I just got killed by a glowing purple carrier-type slag with 3000 HP in Atelier Shallie.

...well, shit. What the hell is THAT doing there? Guess I'll be clearing that area later, then. xD
