@Code, please cut me some slack. I can't really update the game when I have guests over, can I? A bit of patience please. Tomorrow it shall be. For real this time. :]

I said to come back after your B-Day with an update, not during it. I may be a cold hearted bastard at heart(Cold as Ice) but even I know when to be patient. Hmm Dynamite you say? *Looks at Krakonos with an amused look*

Damn, you've really got this thought out lol. I think it would be smart for Glacier to stay behind at the mountain path entrance and help the rearguard.

As for my moveset, I think I'll switch it from Powder Snow, Roar, Confuse Ray, and Icy Wind to Powder Snow, Feint Attack, Mist, and Icy Wind. I had no items, so nothing to worry about there.

I guess that's all the details sorted out on my end, so as long as Lycan lets me hop into this fight I think we're good to go. Good to be back here :)

Went digging into the archives and you did have some items ;) See Battle #1 Intermission and you'll notice that you had a Lum Berry and received Poison Spikes from the Get Together. Whether he transferred them to someone else in Battle#2, I don't know. What I will say is those Poison Spikes would come in really handy down the line as we have no Fairy Type counter in Team B :P

Oh and here's the main thread so you don't clog up Team A's thread :)

I DMed Lycan on Discord, but Dragon attacks on Fairy can be handled the same way that Normal and Fighting attacks work on Ghosts in PMD. They will do quarter damage, unless Lycan chooses not to follow that.

Told me via VM that he's going to treat Type matchups like they are in the games. If Gravelerock won't work on Jangmo-o with Protect(like in PMD), then Type matchups where a move wouldn't have any effect(aka Dragon vs. Fairy) is going to be the outcome in FTE. In other words, he's treating items like any normal attack and all type matchups that wouldn't work in the main series games are going to be applied here.

Good to know, I had completely forgotten about any items I had obtained. I'd definitely take the Poison Spikes with me to help on the fairy types around Team B. I'll just need to make sure to conserve those during the fight so I don't waste them all on one or two enemies. This is all assuming the items are still available to me after 3 months of course

The items still exist! I transferred the Poison Spikes to Elwind after you took a break, and currently Nah is holding onto them. (Maybe if you ask her nicely, she can give them back when you come together after the fight ;-) ). Your old Lum Berry is also in somebody's inventory now, but with several Lum Berries in the party's possession, I can't say for sure which...
Jumping in with full PP, I think you should be able to manage the entire battle for now though. ;)

I added you in right here. Have fun~!

Will be out of town for 4 days starting tomorrow evening. Feel free to take as long as you like in updating to Round 5 for Team B. If you do happen to update, I'll post my thoughts when I return.

Just wanted to say to those in Team B, don't give up yet! I know things don't look that great, but I'm sure there's a way to turn it around. Team A is looking to finish clearing out the path on the mountain in the next few Rounds. So we technically COULD take on anyone that comes up the mountain, but unfortunately that's the loss condition for Team B. I wish those in Team B the best luck. I'll be watching to see if I could help CodeHelmet with strategy.

Eh don't worry about it. I think I have a plan in mind that despite my oversight ought to work provided we KO Seviper and put the Boss asleep. Even if it's for one turn, it may be all we need to muster out a win.

So, everyone! With Chapter 3 drawing to a close, I'm curious to know what you all thought about dividing the team for separate maps. :)

I think our team comps will mostly be based on what enemy types each map will consist of. I know I wouldn't want to be on any maps that have Poison (primarily), Electric, and Grass (hence why I did not like the Chapter 2 area). I do know one thing, though...I got to do better as Coral in Chapter 4, cause I've fainted in every battle so far. :(

...Maybe if my stats wouldn't decrease upon evolving, that should help my chances, at least.

I don't want to spoil too much yet, but I have some exciting stuff planned for Chapter 4. I'm sure Coral will be overjoyed! ;]

And yes, I'm curious to know what everybody thinks of the current Chapter as well. (:

Eh I've fainted twice, although this last one was due to underestimating Mr.Mime's ability. Came up 4 damage short from fainting it and I paid the price. Fainting isn't the end of the world though. Someone has to take enemy damage and the chips fall as they do. Should take it as a compliment that you've been KO'd since you're obviously a threat lol. I almost bit it on Chapter 1 though so I suppose I'd be in the same boat as you.

Also I thought I'd bring it up that our Team may be small enough to be lumped back together again. Team B has been relatively inactive. Outside of myself, Epilogue(who got KO'd), Lily and occasionally Aldo, the rest of the team hasn't been there or has been busy. In fact, here's how many I could potentially see being cut:

Mags(being subbed by Tails. Will Caite be available?)
Meta(came back during intermission and then went AWOL)
Unicorn(joined during intermission and then went AWOL)
Waterproof(was active early on but then went AWOL)
Susato(I'm subbing for Dragon atm. Not sure if he'll be active enough)
Alex(Not sure where his owner is right now)
Robin(Hasn't been here since ~Round 1 i think, if not intermission)
Priscilla(MysticalNinetales has been extremely busy and will be crazy over the next few months with Graduation approaching)

There are others where their activity has been sporadic as well. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that we shrink from two teams back down to one.

I had been thinking about that actually. But it's too early to say something about that though, some people are a bit... unpredictable when it comes to their activity here. I had planned to ask around who's still in for another round when the current Chapter comes to an end and then we'll see.

I've been fine with the split teams structure we've had for this chapter. But if our group has shrunk enough, we could consider doing one again for the next chapter.

I think the stakes have been especially interesting in this chapter, seeing how there was a real risk of the enemies in our location slipping past us to pursue the other team. It gave us something to protect, in the larger scheme of things! :D

Team B's objective was certainly a change of pace from the seek and destroy mission of previous chapters. Meant that we couldn't just blindly move anywhere in search of the enemy and Baton Pass really brought that to light later on along with new enemies with considerable mobility pressuring us from two sides. My poor planning(or sacrifice depending on your viewpoint) meant that we had to utilize our Revival Herb to bring back one of our casualties to buy us valuable time on the Boss. The fact it worked combined with the fact that we are extremely efficient on our damage(got 70 damage from 3 characters to KO a 70 HP Aipom lol) means that it's now everyone vs. Boss. It also helps that it's basically trapped and presently asleep. Even if it were to wake up in Enemy Phase, it's likely going to fall in Round 10. Question is... if it asks for Mercy do we grant it?

So with Team A now complete and Team B, in time, finishing up as well, its not too early to ponder what challenges await us. Its a given that the next map is a Cave, hence dark and therefore visibility is limited(the Mansion Challenge event back in October comes to mind). In fact, we may not be able to view the terrain or enemies around us unless we have a certain Pokemon near us to illuminate the area(say Fire or Electric type). Furthermore, being a cave, its a given that we're going to face Zubats, WooBats, Sandshrew's, Paras and other cave dwelling Pokemon like Onix.

Hey guys! So I'm considering of throwing over the item ball system, but not before I consult you, the players, on this matter.

I know I said it makes sense that you can always pick up the Item Balls even after all enemies are down (after all, it's not like they're going to walk anywhere). But... that means you can easily ignore them during the battle and get them as free rewards afterwards. Maybe we could make them more exciting if we scrap that rule and let the battle end directly when the end condition is met. That way interesting situations may arise where you might need to risk giving the boss an extra turn in order to grab all the loot!

Part two is that, as you may have noticed in both Chapters 3, enemies are starting to use more items and equipment. To prevent the map becoming a cluttered up mess of Item Balls, we could say that you immediately obtain whatever an enemy was holding when it's knocked out. Providing you have room in your inventory of course, otherwise an Item Ball would still drop on the floor.

Yes/no? Thoughts?

PS. The shopping time Intermission should be up next Wednesday or Thursday. I still have a lot of preparations to do for Chapter 4 though.
