Yeah I guessed just as much and it would've definitely have helped me in PSMD because I was fainting about every other dungeon. I probably should've used some TMs or went to the move trainer to learn status moves, but I don't remember any of the TMs I had at the time of completing it (I would need to check my deposit box) and I didn't use Hawlucha at almost any point to learn or remember moves. I know Riolu learns one move that changes stats, but I don't even remember if I was even at the level by the end of the game to have gotten it (I was like level 23-26 when I completed the game.), and my partner, Froakie, could have 2, but I decided not to keep them because I thought Water Pulse and Lick were better to afflict paralysis and confusion, Aerial Ace for a bit more coverage, and for some reason, of all moves, I had Round on him. I don't know why, I should've actually removed that one and had Smokescreen on him. I think the reason why I didn't use any stat changing moves was because I was trying to beat the game as fast as possible. Whenever I play another PMD game or when I continue getting all the Pokemon in PSMD, I'll keep that in mind.
