yeah, but i think its current tiering makes sense. my guess is that someone will "figure out" hoopa unbound (make a famous team w/ it) that starts a ban-dwagon, but if that doesn't happen, then it's for good reason. i really wasn't joking in the thread when i said my usual result vs hooa unbbound teams is a 2-0 win where hoopa gets half of the kills. it's such an enormous defensive liability. i suppose there's a reason that i never use it despite its absurd power.

staraptor is horrible. it's a pokemon that has zero staying power, zero survivability, and zero defensive utility. it's like a far worse version of hoopa unbound. people get intoxicated by how it 2hkoes pretty much everything, but it's kind of a shitmon in my eyes. its lack of defensive utility is just so tough to build around, and unlike other breakers like landorus-incarnate (rip lol) and hoopa unbound, it gets killed way too easily by recoil, sand damage, and stealth rock.

dmg output doesn't make a good pokemon, and staraptor pretty much embodies that. the competition with talonflame, whose defensive niches are so much greater, is very significant.

the details are even funnier. a sort of proto-pcl from 3 or 4 years ago was simply called "clans" where we made some clans which would presumably do some stuff (they didn't, whoops). in any case, ooka was less insufferable than he had been and i love mending fences more than anyone so i made him co-leader of my clan, and he made the css for its op. then, for some reason, he had a major ragequit and stormed out of pc, but not before demanding that i remove his css, which he is supposedly legally entitled to. trust me, the css was not very good, and there's no way any of his bs would actually hold up legally, but i think we ended up taking it down anyway?

yeah, it was one of the more amusing episodes in my long tenure here. you have to really shove your head pretty far up your own asshole to actually try to do that. i don't even know why he was angry ahahaha

longer story is that there used to be a user who kinda frequented s&m (now btb) named ooka. he was pretty much the biggest drama queen ever and he was not particularly well liked (he even threaten to sue us once rofl!), so dark azelf started referring to him as 'jewka.'

at some point i decided to take this and run with it. louis ck noted in one of his routines that jew is the only religious identifier that, in an auditory sense only, sounds like a slur. it is, in short, a rather peculiar word. so i thought it would be fun to take 'jewka' to more absurd extremes, mostly for my own amusement. it's not much more than that really.
