  • I just wanted you to know that your Wedlockes are very exciting to read, and I wish you the best of luck on your LeafGreen Wedlocke. The fact that you do so well in them makes me more eager to read them (granted I don't come on Marriland as much as I used to). If only I could complete a Wedlocke sometime...
i actually already got the national pokedex and i think i'm stuck there. do you know if i'm supposed to go to the elite four now or is there something before that?
Yeah someone did but I deleted the post because it had nothing to do with the part of your post he was quoting and it was really off-topic too....
OMG Marriland finally got his first OR Wedlocke death, and it was someone who was only just fresh to the team:
    Spoiler:
Yeah it was unfortunate that Marriland had to get a pair of two Flying-types but both Taillow and Zubat have their unique niches. It was cool to see Calzone evolve into a Beautifly because he never used Beautifly in any playthroughs before, but dang Beautifly is so good at solo'ing Brawly (dat OP Gust), just like how I did in my Alpha Sapphire playthrough.

Still concerned about how Marriland will handle Wattson, but Pickles should be able to solo that Gym given he'll be a Marshtomp by then. The battle against May on Route 110 is tough, but her Grovyle won't be an issue for Calzone or the Flying-type pair.

And isn't it funny that this is his third time using a female Zubat, and all the female Zubats he's used were all named after some food which has eggs in it. I do wonder if Quiche will turn out like Frittata and Eggpie before her and survive a good chunk of the game.
I can say, you're doing very well with your LeafGreen Wedlocke there buddy! You had a close call against Misty, but at least you demolished Surge and nice to see Gnarla evolved into a Raticate as well. You will probably have to enforce Gender Clause on your next few encounters given you only have one female out of five Pokemon in the PC right now.

Also, it's great to see you've still had no deaths! I recall your first death in HeartGold was a while after the third badge (when you lost Xylophone the Pidgeotto to a trainer's Slowpoke) so it'll be interesting to see what threats come your way.
So which Hidden Power is best for Contrary Serperior? Rock covers 4/5 of its weaknesses, but Fire and Ground helps it hit Steel types.
I can see what you mean. He will need to try and use a Repel on Route 116 so he can get to Rusturf Tunnel and get the guaranteed Whismur there, and then when that encounter is out of the way he can try for a Taillow, Skitty or Nincada.

Different people may handle DexNav encounters differently though, so I do wonder how you'll handle it in your Wedlocke when that comes around.
Mhm. It was something I did need. No problem! I did enjoy myself a lot. Loved every second. c:
I always knew fans loved it when he was being comedic, so I can see why this series wasn't as successful as other ones he did. At least his iconic Wedlockes always have a great mix of comedy and emotion.
Oh wow the Alpha Sapphire walkthrough didn't go as well as I thought, but hopefully he'll resume it after the Wedlocke.
