  • That was me with Trickster Online!! TO only lasted around 6-7 years I think too, longer than FO but it still felt like it closed so quickly. I was honestly devastated. That doesn't sound like a great owner either, I'd be so hesitant to try any of their games in the future if they still make any... @@;

And yeah, thank god you don't have to pay real money for things in X2 after buying the game.. but gacha even with virtual currency seems kinda weird and unfitting for it. I hope 3 goes more in the direction of 1 since that was pretty darn popular!

I'm so sorry zeo ;_; I know fathers day without your dad must be so hard. I have friends in similar positions, either the father unfortunately passed or they have not spoken in a very long time. I really hope you'll be okay. But time heals and it will pass, you'll feel a bit better after the event I'm sure. <3
I think to me it felt like each game ended up feeling the same if that makes sense. I like forgetting about everything, and just playing. I can completely understand why people wouldn't find it appealing though tbh. I've always been a bit weird when it comes to games and sports!

Do you enjoy your new found confidence with attacking, or do you still enjoy a defensive approach more?

I didn't know that about AEW! That will certainly make it easier to dive in ty!

MJF should stay as far away from WWE as possible in my opinion. He has a good thing going, and the E would likely ruin him.

How is everything with you Zeo?
My Dad brought his camera along, he used to like taking photos a lot. I went with my Mum so my Dad thought it'd be nice to get a photo when we came down but I was screaming my head off hahaha

Though a lot of rides do that too! Never knew how people got good photos from those to be honest. :'D I'm glad the animals were well cared for.

Horror can be a lot to handle even outside of the fear factor. I imagine the first person POV in horror virtual reality would be scarier when something runs directly at you. I get very easily jumpscared and am not good with gore so horror definitely lives up to its name for me. But yeah, I guess you have to be in the right mood for it! Horror movies with family and friends can be super fun though. If it's OK to ask what are the specific fears exactly?

I hope your Father's Day went OK if it has already passed over there? I'm sorry to hear about your Dad :( I remember seeing your post in the thread. I'm sure wherever he is, he appreciates you visiting him every year.

Happy early birthday for Thursday! Those all sound fun. And playing Switch games online can be nice. What games do you like playing on your Switch? Multiplayer is always fun. My best friend and I are looking into co-oping Stardew Valley though I'm going to have to make sure the farm is overtaken by 29291020302 chickens first :D
I heard of FO I think! But never played, looks fun and I do like pixel games but I was more into the cute-looking games during my MMO phase. Like MapleStory and La Tale lol

ahaha my husband is playing Xenoblade 2 as I reply to this. I did notice it has a lot of gacha @_@ Definitely a downside for some people, it does feel weird for a full-price game to have that feature... could've done without it. Hopefully the next one doesn't have it, it does take away from the 'feel/atmosphere' of the game if that makes sense. Just seems weird.

MH isn't really like Pokémon I think! It's about defeating monsters with your character who can use a variety of different weapons like sword, bow, dual blades, lance, hunting horn, and a bunch of others. The strongest similarity is defeating monsters/creatures but that's probably not such a big one in the long run.

Yeah... I do stuff that hurts me too, just can't help it. Human minds are so complex, it's almost like we want to hurt ourselves sometimes. I really can hate that part of my brain at times D:

and you're an important friend so I wanna be sure people remember your bday!! my memory is terrible though so I tend to use phone reminders, thank god for technology fufu
Oh man, I'm glad you were OK in the end. Water slides can be fun though I have not tried one of the enclosed ones. I've only ever gone on the ones that take you down the slide in a boat. They also had a trap door and I remember being so happy when we started reversing because I thought we were getting off the ride.

Turns out it was reversing to build up momentum to hurtle us off the slide... I still have a photo of that day, I'll never forget it. I think I was 9 at the time.

Not at all, the whole experience altogether is amazing. Virtual reality is so new to me still but can be such an out of body experience. A virtual reality horror game would be too much for me I think... And how was Animal Kingdom park? I've never been but it sounds awesome.

Feel free to tell me about it when you go, I hope it's a good time! Yeah some museums don't allow photographs which is fair enough. I used to like taking photos if I could though, it'd always be nice to look back on later. And thank you, I appreciate it. :D

Yeah I can imagine it feels like there's always a lot to learn. I'm sure it was still fun, still that's impressive to beat someone like five times in a row. Do you play many other board games outside of chess or not in particular?
Yes of course, I am sorry about that! I've been on leave and I forgot to mention it to Sam - it's all done now, thanks for the reminder! I'm glad the games are getting some more spotlight this way!
I'm not sure what the differences between the parks are either to be honest. Rollercoasters can be super fun. But I'm with you in that mild upside down loops are about as far as I will get. I remember the first time I got on a rollercoaster, I asked to get off as soon as it started moving... needless to say it kept going :D

I don't know about favourite but the clearest memory I have of Disneyland is going on Space Mountain when I was 9. I'd love to go again on that. What about yours?

All good. The museum you linked looks like it'd be quite interesting, are you going on one of the walking tours they have listed? I was thinking the 23rd was a while to go and then looked at the date.... I have no idea how we're in June still to be honest, it feels like this year has been a blur.

Congrats! You must be awesome at chess now. Chess has always seemed interesting but I haven't taken the time to wrap my head around learning strategies that would help me improve. Do you watch/read anything to learn or mostly learn through just practicing/playing games? I find I don't tend to be a competitive person at all, in particular when it comes to games. As long as it's fun that's enough for me, I'm happy for other people to be competitive though if they want to be.
MMOs never have endings yeah, more content keeps being added. I like that though, keeps me having things to do :D And honestly makes me so distracted and then I neglect other games.. omg. I'm gonna try to start Xenoblade 1 sometime though, maybe after we try the new Monster Hunter Rise DLC update coming end of this month!

I wish I could avoid Google. It's so hard not to go searching for stuff, and I also often check reddit for results too, sometimes they can be pretty scary. I know the people replying to those topics on reddit are probably the ones who are dealing with it the most, otherwise they wouldn't be on that particular subreddit to talk about x y z health problem. So it's skewed results. But it really sucks to just see OMG CANCER and OMG GET TESTED so often on the internet. Internet's a blessing but also so, so stressful....

aaaaa birthdays! I won't be able to draw anything since I'm in a very rough art block but I'll try my best to make you a bday thread if no one else beats me to it :O
Ooh omg not yet. I started but didn't finish, definitely going to do that soon. Just been soo distracted playing FFXIV and now MapleStory again, been making it tough to play other games ;o; but I love Ho-Oh and would love to see it in the game!!

Yeah I have habits that are probably not good too, cause they lead to anxiety.. but it can be so hard if not impossible to stop those unless your anxiety significantly improves and makes you have less desire to do those habits. I used to take really deep breaths when super anxious and hated it, that and other annoying things like continuously googling my symptoms and then panicking I had cancer or a heart attack. lol nighttime panic is the absolute worst too. There's little you can do except sit in bed until it goes away and it is just awful.

And the team is super nice even if we're pretty big and silly, but I totally get being nervous<3 It's up to you if you change your mind, always fully your choice!! You may not have PMed the right account if you didn't get a reply, most of us check our messages consistently. But I won't bring it up with anyone if you're not sure anymore, don't worry about it if so :3
Never too late! Congrats zeo omg!! I dunno if I'll get level 5 on all the maps but I did see everything too, and there are wayyy to many requests to complete ; ; Did you do the free update too? I still need to finish that, whoops....

I worry like that too, but my main worry comes from small symptoms that my mind panics are actually big things. Recently I was paranoid about having sleep apnea cause I was waking up gasping for air recently but realized it's very unlikely when I don't show any of the other very common symptoms most patients tend to have, and I had an ear issue at the time which makes it hard to breathe well when sleeping sometimes. Now I feel better about it, and the gasping hasn't happened for a while either thankfully. @_@

Oh did you? How did you make the request? I can follow up with the social media lead for you to see if he may have missed it. :O But discord is pretty much mandatory for staff nowadays, it can be either the app or browser version though so that's no problem :3

omggg I wouldn't be able to. Thank goodness your prof gave you a good grade. That's really nice T__T
Awesome! I have always been impressed by how uncannily accurate the Meyers Briggs test can be. At University they used it to match us to dorm roommates. I can see the ISFP personality in you the way it's described, "gentle caretakers who live in the present moment and enjoy their surroundings with cheerful, low-key enthusiasm. They are flexible and spontaneous, and like to go with the flow to enjoy what life has to offer. ISFPs are quiet and unassuming, and may be hard to get to know. However, to those who know them well, the ISFP is warm and friendly, eager to share in life's many experiences."

At least that sounds like you to me. There seem to be a lot of cool people like famous artists and musicians who you share a typing with. Congrats on discovering that you are ISFP.

I am an INFP, the healer, and I can see myself as that since it says popular hobbies for us are poetry, creative writing, music, photography, theater, and visual art. I am proud to be in the company Princess Diana of Wales, William Shakespeare, Audrey Hepburn and Mr Rogers, since they are evidently INFP. What I could most identify with was when it said we are "reflective and often spiritual, and often interested in having meaningful conversations about values, ethics, people, and personal growth. Typically curious and open-minded, the Healer continually seeks a deeper understanding of themselves and of the people around them. They are passionate about their ideals, but private as well; few people understand the depth of the INFP's commitment to their beliefs."

I hope you are have an amazing week my friend, and I love your new Butterfree avvie and the luminous flair to accompany it. Looking good!
I constantly forget PC has socials. I don't think I follow them much, as it feels like such a completely different environment outside these forums. Hard to associate them both with each other.

Advanced happy birthday then! That's around 57 posts a day for the next 14 days to work on that milestone. I'd say definitely achievable for 2021 me, but for someone who's actually sane? Probably not lmao
Wishing you luck then! It's been a while since we've talked about that, and I've forgotten most of the details heh. What do you miss about it?
Congrats on being virus free! And yes it is quite unfortunate, but surely it shouldn't be too much of an effort to redownload a couple games. Like said previously, let's just be more careful with the sites we're downloading from~
    Dependencies are a real big problem, especially for xanax which is quite addicting I believe. I think getting yourself slowly off it was a good idea, especially since you have other things you can take now ^^ When I was having massive panic attacks I went to the psychiatrist and they prescribed me pills so quickly, it was a bit concerning tbh. I really wanted pills at the time but my mom was worried about addiction and how easily they threw the prescription my way. In the end I didn't pick them up from the pharmacy, and nowadays I have things I can do to make me feel better even if they're not perfect. One thing I wish I could magically get rid of that pills don't fix is health anxiety though, every little symptom makes me overthink sometimes ;__;

And nope not for games. Definitely for other stuff besides them too. That seems to be becoming more normal, think I've read mobile phones are partially to blame cause people can browse online so easily and the internet makes it hard for people to focus in the longrun. I definitely see the correlation. I got so used to doing quick browses and games on my phone that don't take long, that I feel like I'm not able to give full attention to longer stuff.

Yeah people don't usually remember. Unless you're like me and got so nervous and caught off guard by presenting one time that you accidentally beg the professor to do it for you because you can't do it. I will never forget that embarrassment... x__x
No, it's from the Swollen Members song "Swamp Water". Maybe there'd references in the song, but I've never heard of that movie.
History was always fun in school! Yeah, college essays can be quite subjectively marked. College marking feels much harder in general.

Never heard of the specific term but I know there are lots of people who like Disneyland. That sounds super fun, did you like it? I've been to Disneyland a few times and I've always liked it a lot. Though I wish I was less nervous about going on some of the rides :'D

Still, that doesn't sound like a good person :( I hope you don't take the insults to heart anymore. People like that are horrible.

I'll try wish you a happy birthday on the day if I can! What's been happening?

It's all good, I'm happy to always answer any questions about Discord if I can. Speaking of which @ your other message, I think we're super similar in terms of the description but I am an ISFJ. I used to be an ENFP which is... so far off from what I am now haha, but ISFJ has me down to a tee. Over the years I've become much more withdrawn as a person I think.
Thank you! <3 I have some diazepam pills left over so I can use them next time I fly or when I feel especially anxious, it's nice to know there's something here for me when I really think I'll need it.

Ahaha, winning a game you hardly understand is hilarious tbh, I love when that happens. Sometimes that happens to me in video games, I just mash buttons and end up winning like... omg hahaha

Getting lost in games sucks. My attention span to keep trying after failing is lower now so I'm less patient, and getting lost counts as part of that. Johto was definitely confusing for people as kids. D: I remember I wasn't able to get through the ice cave in GSC and had to lend my game to a friend so he could get through it for me, then give it back the next day in school. omg good times

I've went into bathrooms to calm down before too. It doesn't end up doing much. T_T Then when things end I always feel so embarrassed and frustrated over being nervous, like "well it's over now and wasn't even a big deal, why was I so nervous?" but then it all just repeats again and again x_X
Fischer designed a game where the starting pieces are assigned at random so it takes the memorising out of things. You have to play instinctively.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fischer_random_chess

There is the wiki. It is often called Chess960 too.

How was the AEW PPV? My cousin has started trying to get me to watch it now, so with people like you and him both recommending them, I might just have to cave!
