It just seems like there's not many entrants this year. I'm getting close to finishing a piece, but it would seem like a terrible waste to enter it into a contest of three people (or at least the two I've seen so far).

Would it be against the rules to enquire as to how many entries you've received so far?

Did you hear that Xros Wars is being dubbed? Did you know that my first thought was "Screw the anime. I just want the Xros Wars video games to come out. And the PSP Digimon Adventure one."

Maybe when we start getting closer to the closing date, we can panic if we don't get any posts from people telling us they submit. Maybe it's just slow right now because there's not much to discuss?

Ah well, not everything turns out well in the end I suppose, and that goes for writing. Good luck with your Digimon story at any rate. That's not a fandom I know very much about myself though, have to say.

And yeah, finished it earlier this year! \o/ (And it's not all about Miror B, but not a bad description of parts =p). Would be cool if you have time because I always like more readers. =p

Told Forever that you will be a fine judge (because, well, you will!) and so that'd be edited in shortly to reflect that. =)

Quick note: You'd be great as a judge, so I guess you volunteer here. Maybe. (I don't know. By the time judges are needed, someone else has done all this work for me.)

I never finished Savers. Part of that was because I just couldn't find it anywhere. Now I just don't have the interest to look for it. So far, I've only watched the first episode. (I've been catching up on the cartoon, Gravity Falls. Which, so far, I prefer over Xros Wars.)

As for the movie, I'm going into it with the mindset that it's not going to be a complete adaption. I had that mindset when I bought the Speaker For the Dead graphic novel, because both the Shadow and Game graphic novels were so good. Speaker was...sadly lacking. The first six chapters were cut, and several scenes that had the characters interacting were cut. So at the end with the marriage was revealed, I laughed out loud because the connection between those two characters was never mentioned. So it came out of nowhere.

I could understand the cut of the last three chapters of Ender in Exile in the graphic novel because those connect the Shadow and Game series, and the Shadow series was never adapted into graphic novels. So that makes sense. But for Speaker to be so...short was a massive disappointment. That's my favorite of the series.

So I already have it in mind that this won't be a full adaption. But this movie will have Harrison Ford in it, which makes me happy.

Though I am concerned about the fandom that will soon overwhelm the Internet. I'm so used to fans of this being rare that I don't have many to talk to. If the movie makes this more popular... I have no idea what will happen.

Pretty much. There's a lot of those, and 02 revision fics that get something just wrong enough that it feels weird. Or epilogue fics. I'm picky about those.
