  • If you're talking about that post, I saw it. The problem is I didn't manage to split the animation in two part without having a freeze or restart.
    I ended up using just whitescreen/refresh, but it didn't worked either.
    Yow! Can you reupload again the egg hatching sprite which is the one you have posted in Quick R&D? It seems that the downloadable attachment, which is the sprite, was destroyed by the site's breach a month ago.

    Yo! I now got hold of a copy in IDA and then searched the dis-assembly. I noticed that the second table of the switch-in does not seem to serve any purpose. I'll update the post of the switch-in system to remove the second routine and table.
    We don't know if we don't test though ! I'm planning to play the animation but without waitanimation for the first two. I'll see and adapt eventually, but trust me the port from FR isn't that easy.

    So, do you think you could work on splitting the anim if it's easy ? I'm manipulating the hex quite randomly and it doesn't really work
    The animation is in the Mega Evolution thread, don't worry for that.

    The thing is I would like to cut it into two part, because porting the updating for the sprite is not that simple, and I think Touched is a little bit bored about mega for now.

    So, for the evolution I didn't myself succed to cut it into two part, as I said the ideal would be to have the first part up to the white screen, then another that refresh the screen and do the rest.
    Hi, long time we didn't see you in the chat!

    I'm working on mega evolution on emerald, I basically have it working, but the graphic and the animation lack. I currently have to use transform animation :S
    For the animation, instead of making several hooks, I think I can play three animation, the first part would be a big circle growing until the screen goes white, the screen has to stay white, not refreshed.
    Then a second animation, the slide out-in, because it updates the sprite/altitude perfectly. (already in the game)
    And finally an animation that refresh the screen.

    Do you think you could work on these ? That'd be awesome !

    Hmm... what does exactly your fix for day care bug on your FR rombase do? Does it just reverting it back to what G3HS Egg Table expansion tool messed up (I just received the notice that everyone should not use that feature of the tool)?

I grabbed the Protean routine from the resource thread and got it to work by changing the number at CheckProtean :) But I'm wondering if there's a way to make the "transformed" message pause for a bit before continuing the battle dialogue. Right now it's continuing immediately after the string finishes printing, so the player probably wouldn't get time to read it.

    Now I'm trying out Moxie, which seems to be complicated in it's own way.
    Is there a way to check what index number corresponds to which slot? As you can see, Tlachtli has inserted the abilities and descriptions already, but they're stored alphabetically after Air Lock.

    Each new name slot is assigned to an index number right? While poking around Sigma Emerald and editing PGE's ini, I found the ability name + description tables used by a3 onwards. However, it only includes the new abilities that Gen 1-3 Pokemon get.
    Hi MrDS! I'm learning to add new abilities into a Pokemon ROM, doing some testing with Protean. I have the routine from the resource thread inserted into the game as well as the byte changes with the pointer, and want to assign it to a Pokemon. What do I do?
    Heheh.. On my pc, waiting to be turned into something presentable for over a year ;-;
