  • The MPC looks like Calem too. Well Unova and Kalos did have throw back to Get I and II. Kind of sad that XY will probably end up having more references than SM to Kanto. Maybe we'll get the Johto starters and Megas for them and the Bird duo.
    Lol, I already said that!

It's DP's 10th anniversary so it could be a homage, or a hint for DP remakes, or both. The color schemes of the Mortality trio to some were hints of Hoenn remakes. While Platinum was treated as a hint of Johto remakes due to being the first game named after a metal in 2 gens.

Alola is similar to Hoenn, but it's different looking at the same time. There's an island with only one town, but unlike Mossdeep or Sootopolis cities doesn't cover most of the island. Plus the region has ice at the top (which is more similar to Mt. Coronet).

As for the plot...I hope it's more than Eternal Day and Eternal Night, that's worse than wanting more land for people and mons to live on, or extending the sea to punish humans and return the world to a primal state.

Perhaps Eternal Night could involve casting a sleeping spell on the entire region and giving them illusions of a better world, like the Eternal Tsukuyomi (btw which happens to be named after the Shinto Moon God) Jutsu in Naruto, of course with the legendary absorbing some power ala Darkrai. Hmm, maybe a Sun team could want to burn up the world in a mass scale murder suicide.
I have a theory that the third one will be Psychic/Water considering the name Marshadow was copyrighted alongside them. And Mar happens to be a spanish word like Sol and Luna. Mar means sea.
If so then it'll be the combination of the Lake trio's psychic with the Creation trio's non Dragon typings.

Neither mascot seemed poison though. Hopefully we'll get a Poison legend and a Dark gym...hmm the typings that the evil teams tend to us since Gen II...hmm...
I'll admit I perfer evolving female eevee into Sylveon and Glaceon over a male eevee. I used to think the same way about Espeon, but never got the chance to evolve a female eevee into a good Espeon. You know eevee's multiple evolutions allow one with what in an eevee would be a bad nature evolve it into one that can take advantage of that nature. So I've never had to box or trade away an eevee because I didn't like it's nature.
I tend to use whatever my Pokemon are. Sometimes I do try to include more female or male mons if the ratio is off. One time I got an all female time except for like Metagross and Blaziken, another time I got an all male team except for Charizard and said Metagross...
GF tended to listen mostly to the Japanese audience. I noticed that in International tournaments there are a lot of Japanese players. Perhaps in Japan the competitive population is greater in percentage compared to the competitive population ww.
    *sees PM*

Oh no problem sweetie. Not all members act friendly on first impression, especially when there's heated debate. Anyways, Sun & Moon news is dropping soon so at least the section will enjoy that.
I think there's a place for competitive battling. At the same time it shouldn't take over the main games. It's sad that the spin offs have better stories...

Tell me about it, in Gen V speculation I heard that word being thrown around more than other alternatives like 'kill' or 'murder', or 'destroy'.
They think it'll make their work worthless. They're mons are trophies. It's sad that a section of the the series' fans have devolved to this... Though even I'm not above the influence as my post on that thread shows.
If SM end up being more profitable than XY, then it's likely that Generation VII will be around as long as Generation IV, if not longer.

The Johto remakes definitely played a role in why Generation IV was stretched out, and ORAS had the potential to add to the marketability of Generation VI. Therefore, there's no justification behind allowing Generation VI to end like this.

I hope that Gamefreak gives Generation VII a chance, and doesn't give up on it just because of bad reception in parts of the fanbase. :\
I'm one of the guys who thinks Generation VI as a whole (not just XY) is being treated rather unfairly. I don't like how Gamefreak is sweeping it under the rug in the same manner that Nintendo is doing with the Wii-U.

They're ditching a generation that has plenty of potential just because of criticisms instead of improving it. Really, it wasn't hard to give X & Y (as well as ORAS) what made Black & White 2 so successful.

As for the anime, I saw proof that the people behind it can make it good when they feel like it when I watched Diancie and The Cocoon of Destruction. Laziness is the reason why Generation VI isn't getting the level of praise that earlier generations received.
You know, I think I'm gonna wait to hear what Zygarde's fate is going to be in the new games. As much as I want Kalos to be the "post-game" region, many people think it won't work due to the most likely chance of having more islands, them having to upgrade Kalos with some of the graphical changes they made to the characters, and how much the 3ds space can take all of this. but then again, Zygarde's role don't fit in the new region when it's suppose to be protecting Kalos... And I don't see them ditching AZ's floette... Perhaps those islaands were the ones that went to war with Kalos? If the DS can handle everything HG SS offered, and if it's a bit bigger than what the Sevii islands were, GF can't just throw Zygarde, and AZ and his Floette in the new region without a legitimate backstory to that..

That strange souvenir kinda debunks what Zygarde protects the new region. But it'll be interesting if it was the master of "Marshadow" as well as Solgaleo and Lunaala.

What sequel can they even do for this Gen...?
You know, if GF is truly done with 3rd versions and sequels perhaps they'll start making the initial pair versions have the complete story. Instead of making more RG,GS,RS,DP,BW, XY's. Instead we'll get what Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum offered.
You know, the gaps between the sequels are the same as in real life. GS came out three years after RG, B2W2 came out 2 years after BW. Also, RS and DP fit this when you consider that DP were meant for 2005, 3 years after RS. Then SM if it's a sequel like GS and B2W2 will likely take place 3 years after XY.
