The single thing. Make it good, just in case I turn out to be a magic pot guy who grants wishes.

Excuse my impromptu episode of James Dean melancholia but my vocabulary just died.

This is hard because everything has an underlying cause.
And there's so many things wrong, I can't just pick one.
AND you could fix something but then it'd just pop right up again because of how the world is. You could end poverty but then corporations would just inflate everything to hell and force people back into it.
That's just one example.

For the sake of the question, let's assume that what you decide on is fixed - regardless of intervention or any factor that could cast the wish askew. Otherwise it's just annoying, innit.

And technically, you could choose something with wide coverage. Like, I'm sure that if greed was nerfed then the people up high would stop killing the planet for the sake of profit, and a thousand other domino effect junk that my poor brain can't get into right now.

Make it so people are incapable of ever being mean again.

Thats what i'd change in this world. In fact its the only thing I think this world needs: No more mean people. Mean people EXISTING just ruins life for me and fills my heart with too much fear :( The idea of them just makes me wanna.....cry so much. Sometimes I do cry about it.

And people being mean is good for? No one. Absolutely. NO ONE.

Actually getting rid of greed isn't a bad idea, I didn't think personality aspects counted!

I'm not sure if I even wanted anything to be changed. I suppose I would be down for getting some sort of object that allows me to see the truth for what it is. That would make spotting ideological lies a whole lot easier.

I actually don't think this would work. Greed seems more like a side effect of humankind's will to survive and evolve. If you want to mess with greed you'd need to change that overlying concept. However nobody can tell what'll happen if that was to be changed. Worst case: humankind would cease to exist.

I can tell you what they're good for: they stand in contrast to those people we consider benevolent. I know, it actually sounds good: get rid of evil and everything will be fun'n'games.

However, if you think longterm, you'll come to realize that by only experiencing the "good" people, it will quickly desensibilitize your experience and you'll end up with nothing better than a mediocre life.
Sure, you won't find hurtful sadness anymore, but you will also lose your appreciation for anything good in this world, simply because you're too used to it.

Getting rid of greed itself would probably cause a lot of progress to cease tbh. Better to just put checks in place to limit the negative impact of greed like better distributing wealth.

Yeah, fairer distribution of wealth is mine. Everyone is now a part of m socialist utopia. ;)

I guess mine would be to stop Brexit. Or even just make it so it never happened to erase the embarrassment we've made of ourselves on the world stage these past two years along with the economic disaster Brexit itself is.

I'll add to it!
Put a maximum income in place, and rest gets distributed to the rest of a citizens. That way there's no mega wealthy people. Who the fuck needs a billion dollars, feed the poor! House the homeless! Pay off someones medical bills!

Thus may sound super cheesy but... I'd want to bring more peace to the world. I mean, all we do is fight one another. The US is even worse at this because we think so highly of ourselves for being the "better" country. Then, you have the ones being treated different and poorly just because they are gay/lesbian, muslim (or whatever) or disabled... we are all so misunderstood in this world. It's one reason why I wish everyone could get along a little easier. I know there won't be peace in the world but... if we could just understand how the other feels and put ourselves in someone else's shoes... it might just make the world a slightly better place!

Have brownies grow on trees.

But that aside, I can't decide on that one single thing to change. With my indecisiveness, I would end up regretting it regardless of what I choose.

So brownies on trees it is.

The obesity problem, though...! How about gluten-free, fat-free brownies that are mostly made out of soy tofu instead? Perfect.

I took martial arts as a kid and I definitely think it helped shape who I turned out to be. It creates discipline as well, which I think is important.

Don't you mean it helped shape your upper body

Let us open a coffee shop that has customers pick the brownies themselves from the treeeeeeees. All kinds of brownies that include triple chocolate brownies and gluten-free, fat-free brownies that are mostly made out of soy tofu.

Let's make others happy with food.

Nice! But not quite fair, because if they have a choice between delicious chocolate brownies and horrible healthy brownies, they're going to prefer your half of the coffee shop. I'll be stuck with the hippies.

So I'll be obliged to sabotage your brownie trees. Sorry. But we'll open up the business anyway because this is sounding increasingly more fun.
