You guys might have noticed that this side of the forum has a new look, with a colorful prefix attached to each club. They are Pokemon for our favorite franchise, Other Fandoms for additional cool titles like Animal Crossing, Harry Potter etc, and a Life prefix for motivational topics in our daily life and skills, to encompasses clubs like the Mental Health club or the Cooking Club.
Since we have a lot of different types of clubs here the idea was to make navigation more organized. This is an experiment for the time being, so feel free to express your thoughts on this. Do you find this a helpful new change, is your experience okay and about the same, or is it difficult to navigate than before?
If you have questions about why your club received the prefix it did, and think it should use one of the other prefixes then we can discuss that. We can also discuss the creation of additional prefixes if you would like to see more genres, or not using the prefixes if they're not ultimately useful. Everybody is welcome at the round table.

That sounds very nice. I think you should make your club. Since there was previously a cooking club, but the owner hasn't been seen on the site this year I would think there are a lot of home cooks on the forum like you who miss it, and would appreciate having an outlet for their passions and creativity again. If you publish this club what I will do is send out messages to members of the former cooking club, and let them know that the feast isn't over, and a fresh club for food lovers had just been made. I imagine that there would be people happy to know there's still a food club available, and you may pick up more members than you expected ^_^

The number of points your Expedition Team has is the combined total of all the points you've earned from completing missions.
Making a post in this thread also counts as completing a mission (see Mission ID #001), so hypothetically, you'll be accumulating points every time you post here. However, if you double-post in this thread, only the first of those posts will earn you points.
If you decide to sign up for an Expedition Team after you already have posts in this thread, your existing posts here WILL count for points!
For every 50 points you earn, you'll receive a reward. The selection of rewards available to you will expand as your team ranks up. When you're first starting out, the only reward available is recruiting a new Pokémon to your Expedition Team.
Once your team reaches Bronze Rank, you can start evolving your Pokémon as a reward! See "Team Ranks and Perks" for a full list of rewards available to each rank.

Here are a few things to keep in mind about recruitable Pokémon:
When you recruit a new Pokémon, you can pick any non-shiny, unevolved species to add to your Expedition Team.
All Pokémon that have been recruited to your Expedition Team can be viewed beneath your main Pokémon in the Hall of Teams.
You can recruit the same species of Pokémon as many times as you'd like. If you want to build an entire army of Pidgey, you should totally go for it!
Even though recruitable Pokémon will not be shiny, you'll eventually have the option to turn one of your Pokémon shiny each time you accumulate 50 points after your team reaches Silver Rank.
Whenever you recruit a new Pokémon to your Expedition Team, feel free to give that Pokémon a nickname. You'll be able to see any of your recruited Pokémon's nicknames in the Hall of Teams by hovering your cursor over that Pokémon's image. Sadly, this will feature will most likely not work if you are viewing this thread from a mobile device. Maybe one day!
If You're Partnered With Another Member:

While it's perfectly fine to run an Expedition Team by yourself, you can also choose to partner up with one other person if they agree to it. By partnering up with another member, the two of you will be listed together in the Hall of Teams. You will share the same team name, rank, points, recruited Pokémon, and any other rewards.
If you complete a non-repeatable mission and earn points for it, your partner is still allowed to complete that same mission for points, as well.
All points earned by both members will indiscriminately count toward your Expedition Team's rank. Your team will still receive a reward for every 50 points accumulated, regardless of who earned those points.
How your team decides on which rewards to receive is entirely between you and your partner. For example, the two of you could make an effort to reach a consensus for every single reward you earn, or you can simply take turns choosing rewards. Heck, if one of you is feeling REALLY confident, you could probably just wing it and hope your partner is on board with the reward you've chosen. It's up to you!
Of course, if a reward needs to be reversed due to a change in consensus, please feel free to let me know and I'll update the reward based on your team's new consensus!

Just to name a few examples, a PokéCommunity mission could look like any of the following:
Replying to an interesting thread in Pokémon General (or any other section)
Playing a fun game at Pokémon Trivia or Forum Games
Joining/participating in another club at The Clubhouse
Taking part in a forum-wide or section-specific event
Anything else you can think of is fair game! You can be as creative as you'd like with your mission requests!
As long as a mission meets the following criteria, it should most likely be fine:
The mission must take place on the PokéCommunity forums.
The mission cannot violate any rules of the forum section it pertains to.
If you're unsure about whether or not a particular idea could work as a mission, feel free to ask here and we can totally discuss about it!
How to Request a Mission:

Want an activity boost somewhere on the forums? To request a mission, simply post in this thread! You don't need to be a club member or even a Mystery Dungeon fan to make a request!
When you post here with your request, all you'll need is the following information:
A quick description of the mission (this will also serve as the mission title)
The URL to the PokéCommunity thread/post where this mission will take place
Any other comments/details about the mission that you want us to know!
Optionally, you can also propose suggestions for the following:
How long will this mission be active? (A few days to a week is typically recommended.)
How many times can each club member complete this mission for points? (Either once only or once per day are recommended.)
By default, missions will be worth 10 points to keep the pacing steady. However, this amount is definitely negotiable! If your requested mission is a much heftier task than usual, or if it's a special event that doesn't happen often, then we can definitely make it worth more points!
Limitations for Mission Requests:

While there cannot be a duplicate of a mission that is currently active, it is perfectly fine to re-request the same mission after it has expired.
As of right now, there is no limit to the number of missions a person can request.
This is still a new club, so we're still trying to get our pace figured out. If having too many missions ends up causing issues (such as club members getting burnt out, too many missions being overshadowed, etc.), then we might try putting a limit in place to see if that solves anything.
For now, though, go wild with all the missions you can think of! Perhaps waiting until some missions expire before requesting more would be a way to keep things steady, but it's all up to you!
Redeeming Points for Completed Missions:

After you've completed a mission, you can gain points for it by coming back to this thread and reporting that you've finished it. (The only exception is Mission ID #001, where I'll be keeping track of everyone's posts in this club thread.)
You don't have to report your completion immediately—it's perfectly okay to accumulate a handful of completed missions and then report them all at once! For missions that can be completed multiple times, it might be helpful if you specified how many times you completed those missions, and on which days.

Oooh, oooh!! I personally feel that Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky is one of the most beautiful games to have ever existed, not just within the Pokémon franchise!! That game makes me cry my heart out every time I reach the ending... ugh, the bond between the player and partner Pokémon is just too wonderful for words!!! ;__;
If the gameplay isn't your cup of tea, I think it's still worth experiencing just for the story alone! ❤ Maybe you could just use cheat codes to make yourself overpowered or something, heehee! Ummmm, n-n-not that I did that when I was younger or anything, nope!! 😇💦💦💦

Idr if I asked this in the past but would anyone be interested in a body mod / tattoo / piercing club? Or maybe that's more of an Art Studio thing... I dunno. But if there's a bit of interest I'll happily make one! :D
While I just have a classic pair of pierced ears, it's still a piercing and ought to get me into the door of the club at least. I would join a body art club/ mod club so long as jewelry is a big part of it. I love gemstones, and buy my share of handmade creations when I see something novel made by a local artist or on Etsy. I am also interested in healing crystals. Every item I wear has a symbol and meaning behind it.
I thought I would flop down in a lounge chair here and toss out an idea that came to me today. I am watching a Xianxia series right now called The Legends, and it's got me so excited to talk about action and martial arts with other kindred souls. Would anyone here like to see a combat club? This would be club where you could celebrate your favorite martial artists, be it fighters competing in tournaments, fighting for the movies or the world of professional wrestling. That's not all though, fighting genre video games and animes would also be up for discussion. If you take self-defense classes or participate in sports like boxing, wrestling or karate as either a hobby or professionally this would be a place to share your own personal experiences too.
I hope there are some takers, because just the thought of it has me pumped. If I get any sign of enthusiasm for this I will build a dojo here in the upcoming weeks.

I love essential oils too. I'd love to know some of your favorites. I really like the middle notes like rose, lavender and especially neroli. Ninetales has a nice club called Cerulean Spas. This health and beauty spa is a small, intimate club right now with me, Ninetales, Fairy and Lynx that you might want to look at because essential oils have a place there as well as other bath products, I make soaps, we talk about self-improvement and relaxation techniques as well as clothes as influences on style and self-expression.

I'm more of a new age person and into all of that. I haven't done tarot reading in quite awhile but I have my own deck. I tend to check my horoscope every so often. I try to meditate and *BIG HUGE TRYING* to get my lazy butt in gear to do yoga. I always have my radio on at night with meditation or spa music because I have ringing of the ears and I need background music.
I'd be more than happy to hang out at the Dojo you build. :D
I'd be happy to incorporate weightlifting and other forms of fitness training into Close Combat! A warrior has to be in shape to fight after all.
I'm in the process of coming up with some questions for new members, and getting things ready for our opening soon.
It looks like Jo's body art club Is already growing an audience, between tattoo lovers, piercing fans and jewel collectors, and I hope to see this club launch. So far I see at least four prospective members with you, Caite-Chan, me and of course Jo/Fairy! That's enough to get a conversation started I think.

Is anyone interested in a cooking club?
Not only will we be sharing recipes, but monthly, I'll hold what I call: Shokugeki! Iron Chef!! Where I'll give you guys an ingredient, and you can create your own recipe with it, or create something that has the ingredient in it. Best recipe wins!
That's the rough idea, but I have a ton more things planned for it. So, before I post the club, anyone interested?
I'd definitely be interested in this! I love getting new ideas for recipes and have enjoyed making desserts lately, from simple apple crumbles to lemon meringue pie. :)
I'm not sure if I'm owner material, but would anyone be interested in joining (or running) an insect/entomology club? One of my favorite hobbies is looking for and taking pics of insects, especially moths and caterpillars! Or maybe a general "outdoors exploration" club where we can share anything interesting we find outside (animals, plants, rocks/fossils, old items, etc).

You're definitely not alone, some interest was expressed in an insect club here back in the spring. I remember Pure Essence mentioned that this would be an awesome club, I'm not sure if they just want to join one or actually make one themselves, so I dropped them a quick private message asking if they had any plans, and see what they're up to. I'll let you know if I hear anything back, but if they don't plan to make it or I just don't get a reply I think you should go ahead and create a lovely insect display case for us to gather around.
I love butterflies, lady bugs, dragon flies, spiders galore. Some of my favorite bug Pokemon include Volcarona, Butterfree, Scolipoede, Araquanid and Frosmoth. So I'd be willing to join. I think you'd be a good club owner.
Outdoors/Nature club would also have an audience here.
I'm actually working on CSS for this club in my Scrapbox right now! :D Since I'm putting it together, are there any recommendations you guys have for the club? :)
