Hisui Legends
Welcome to the Hisui region, a fresh land ready for you to explore and settle. You are a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team, composed of settlers from across the seas and led by Commander Kamado. Your role in this largely untamed region is simple: survive, settle and grow. Build Jubilife Village into a home you can be proud of.
Remember though, this is no easy task! Everyone in Jubilife Village has to pull their weight or there is no hope for the expedition team to build a future in these foreign lands. There is hard work to be found within the village and dangers beyond its walls. Pokemon are terrifying creatures capable of untold destruction if one isn't careful in their dealings with them, the Diamond and Pearl clans are your allies but the expedition team must struggle to keep their neutrality when things get tense between them and the natural environment itself is full of hazards.
Still, if you do your best, you're bound to succeed and build a bright future for yourselves and your descendants.
The Survey Corps
The Survey Corps is led by Captain Cyllene and (unofficially) Professor Laventon. The Survey Corps' job is to explore and study the region, learning all they can about it and what it offers. Of particular importance is collecting information on the various Pokemon in the region - learning what threats they pose but also how to co-exist with them and make use of their special abilities in the village.
The Security Corps
The Security Corps is charged with defending the village and its inhabitants. It is their job to deal with external threats like rampaging Pokemon as well as internal issues such as responding to emergencies and dealing with crimes.
The Medical Corps
The Medical Corps is effectively a combination of doctors, nurses, veterinarians and field medics as well as a handful of more scholarly types. Their job is to treat illnesses and injuries in the village and out in the field, looking after the Expedition Team as well as their partner Pokemon. They also work to develop new medicines.
The Supply Corps
The Supply Corps has the job of handling logistics within the village. They must collect the resources discovered by the Survey Corps and then distribute them as needed throughout the village. They also take part in r&d to find new ways to use the various materials they come across.
The Agricultural Corps
The Agricultural Corps is in charge of the village's farmland as their chief job. It is their job to grow food and maintain crops, keeping them healthy and the population fed. They are also in charge of managing the pastures where members of the Expedition Team frequently leave their partner Pokemon for rest, or when their team is otherwise full.
The Construction Corps
The Construction Corps are the people who quite literally built Jubilife Village and continue to expand it, adding new structures as needed or repairing any damage sustained to existing buildings. They are also in charge of setting up new base camps throughout the region and often help the Supply Corps with mining operations.
Team Work
Being part of one team doesn't mean your work is going to be limited to always doing a set few tasks. Much of the time, different teams work together on expeditions and their roles end up blending together. The Survey Corps and Security Corps might find themselves facing a threat together out in the wilds, the Supply and Medical Corps teams might work together in developing a new drug and the Construction corps might work with the Agricultural corps to help set up new farms. While everyone brings their own skills to the table, circumstances can easily force you into filling a different role than usual and working together is essential to the continued prosperity of Jubilife Village.
The Diamond and Pearl Clans
The Diamond and Pearl Clans already existed in Hisui long before the Galaxy Expedition Team ever got there, to the point you could call them natives. Although, it is said that they too both came to the region from across the sea in times gone by. Both clans worship a being they call "Almighty Sinnoh" but they fundamentally disagree on what this being is. The Diamond Clan adamantly believe that Sinnoh is a god that controls time, while the Pearl Clan believe it is a being that controls space. This has led to a great amount of tension between the clans, and even warring in the past. These days the two clans share a tense and uneasy truce but to say they get along would be a stretch.
The Ginkgo Guild
The Ginkgo Guild is another foreign entity active in Hisui. Although they are not technically a part of the Expedition Team, they are generally also present inside the Village. The Ginkgo Guild is an association of merchants who collect, buy and sell wares across Hisui, trading with the Expedition Team as well as with the two clans.
The Obsidian Fieldlands are located in the south-west of Hisui. It is, naturally, composed primarily of open, grassy fields but also contains hills, wetlands and forests as well as the famed and impressive Lake Verity. You can find out more about the Obsidian Fieldlands here.
Crimson Mirelands
The Crimson Mirelands can be found in Hisui's east in the area that will eventually include the Great Marsh and Pastoria City. Right now though, it is all wild and uninhabited aside from the local Pokemon. The Mirelands are largely muddy and swampy but in places can become more like a typical forest or even somewhat dry. Much like the Obsidian Fieldlands, the Mirelands are home to a great lake - Lake Valor. You can find out more about the Crimson Mirelands here.
Cobalt Coastlands
A large coastal area found in Hisui's north-east. The Cobalt Coastlands can be found in the part of the region that will one day include a resort, Sunyshore City and the Sinnoh Pokemon League. The Coastlands are composed of sandy beaches of yellow sand that morph into grasslands and patches of forest as one travels in a westerly direction inland. Often plumes of smoke can be seen rising from the small volcanic island off the sure here. Old folklore from the Diamond and Pearl clans sometimes mentions a mysterious fourth great lake blanketed in fog that can allegedly be found in the forests of this area but nobody in recent memory has actually ever found such a thing. You can find out more about the Cobalt Coastlands here.

How This Works
Hisui Legends is a long-running sandbox RP. That means you have near complete freedom to tell the stories you want at a pace that you're comfortable with. I'm not going to leave you completely high and dry with no direction though, so here's some small mechanics that will be in play to help you out!- Hisui Legends takes place before the events of Legends: Arceus.
- You will be playing as a member of one of the different sub-teams that makes up the overall Galactic Expedition Team. These teams and their responsibilities will be listed in more detail further down.
- Each month there will be a list of available Pokemon posted for each currently available part of the Hisui region. At the beginning, as new settlers, you will only have access to the relatively nearby Obsidian Fieldlands. Over time though, more parts of the map will be accessible.
- More parts of the map (and other fun perks!) will be unlocked as we collectively increase the Star Level of Jubilife Village. Primarily, this will be achieved as the RP reaches different post thresholds.
- At the beginning of each month, I will also be posting a handful of prompts. It isn't mandatory to follow these, they're just there to help you out if you get stuck for ideas. Sometimes these prompts will include special events that may come with extra rewards if you choose to complete them.
- We will be utilizing JPs for character interaction, not back-and-forth posting. This is to keep a nice flow to interactions and keep the thread tidy since this is intended to be long-running.
- You will begin with a single partner Pokemon on its first stage of evolution. At first, you will be able to catch a maximum of two other Pokemon and you won't be able to evolve any of them. You can have your Pokemon learn new moves at will though, just show us the Pokemon learning the move in a post. You will be able to evolve Pokemon and expand your team further as we reach a greater Star Level.

The Galaxy Expedition Team
The Galaxy Expedition team is a multinational group whose purpose is to settle in your new home. Everyone has their own reasons for joining the team and traveling to Hisui - disaster, war, famine or simply a desire to see this "new" region. The team is all committed to the cause for their own reasons, each bringing their own skills to the table. However, everyone is expected to work for their place and will generally be a part of one of the following sub-teams.The Survey Corps

Other Factions
In addition to the Galaxy Expedition Team, there are three other noteworthy factions operating within Hisui. The Diamond and Pearl Clans

Rules
- Hisui Legends is Rated M. This is to allow you to stay true to the way Hisui is presented in the canon but don't abuse it.
- While I'd prefer it if people tried to get a post out at least every month, there is no post requirement. This is meant to be a fairly easy-going experience. What is required is that you actively communicate with me and the other players through the OOC thread or Discord.
- Pokemon can have a maximum of six moves at a time and, unlike the Legends game, Abilities do exist.
- You have the freedom to decide when your Pokemon learns new moves. But you have to show them learning that new move in a post. Similarly, if we have unlocked evolutions with our Star Level, you can decide when you want to evolve your Pokemon - if at all.
- If you're unsure of the lore, technology, characters etc of Hisui - ask! I'd rather have to answer a million questions than have people just winging it.
- GM word is law.Worship me peasants.
