Hello! This is your classic game of Bingo, with a Pokémon twist!

overview

• Each round will be themed. The themes are on the wheel below, which will be spun to select a random category when a round begins.

• When the theme is announced, participants will have 24 hours to fill out and post their Bingo cards, filling it with Pokémon from the chosen theme.

• Twice a day (at 10 AM PST and 10 PM PST), I will randomly pull 6 Pokémon from the chosen theme category (courtesy of zufallspokemon) and post them here.

• Players are responsible for keeping track of their own cards and marking off any called numbers on it, and the round will run until someone gets 5 in a row!

• A new theme will then be selected, and the game will repeat until the end of GT.

I will be spinning for a theme from this wheel every round. Each theme will either be a generation or a Pokémon type.

Some rounds will be easier than others, of course - there's only about 60 Ice-types, while Water-type has over double that, and each generation has anywhere between 72-156 Pokémon, but the variation should be fun, I hope.

bingo cards

Once a theme has been announced, you will have 24 hours to make and fill out your Bingo card with Pokémon adhering to the theme.

Here is a basic template, and you are more than welcome to use this one, but feel free to customize and put your own spin on it or make your own from scratch, as long as it follows the convention of being a 5x5 grid with a 'free' tile in the center.

I will take note of all cards posted before the round begins, and then throughout the round you can just edit your post with your updated card (marking off any called Pokémon you have on it).

It doesn't have to be fancy - though there will be extra points if it is - you can do this with any editing software, even like Paint or your phone's gallery editor, as long as the Pokémon names on your card are discernable and you have a way of marking them off.

We will just do the basic 5-in-a-row winning patterns, so any 1 row will count (horizontal, vertical, diagonal). If you have a winning pattern, make a new post saying "BINGO!" to alert me of your win.

Even if you did not win, every Pokemon marked off on your card is considered "caught" - this just affects some of the achievements down below, so keep a list of all your caught Pokémon for some extra points at the end.

scoring

Every win is worth 10 points, but you will have the opportunity to earn extra points with some of the achievements below for this event.

achievements

These will be tallied at the end of the game. I will keep track of your caught Pokémon to award these at the end.

awarded to one player only. | can be awarded to every qualifying player.

Pokémon Master: Gotta catch 'em all! (+10 pts.)
Caught the most Pokémon out of everyone in this event.

Specialist: Master of few, but an expert at your type. (+10 pts.)
Caught the most Pokémon of a single type.

Poké Fan: You really believed in your fave. (+10 pts.)
Caught the same Pokémon the most times across all rounds.

It's Personal: Who says Bingo has to be drab? (+5 pts.)
Designed your own Bingo card. Doesn't stack per card, but can be achieved alongside the Stylin' achievement if the conditions for it are met as well.

Stylin': Thanks for making the game so colourful! (+10 pts.)
Designed a custom Bingo card for every round.

To join the game, simply fill out and post a Bingo card with Fighting-type Pokémon. You will have about a day to post your Bingo card here!

Not sure what to add? Here is a list of all the Pokémon that can be drawn this round.

The first drawing will be at 10 PM PST of August 12, and that is also when I will stop accepting new cards for this round. If you have the @Retirement Home role on Discord, you will be pinged when it's time.

Hi all!! Firstly, thank you for submitting cards so far, appreciate the participation!

A few notes as I'm going through the cards, and something I apologize I left out of the opening posts - I intended to leave out alternate/regional forms and megas, and I see quite a few people have added some to their cards already, which is totally my fault for not specifying first.

My only reasoning for not including formes is that I felt it would make the pools too large and therefore harder to get a Bingo, but if you guys don't mind giving that a go, I am open to throwing those in as well and seeing how the first round goes with them, seeing as so many people have them on their cards already (sorry LeGoldenWolf! You were one of the first to ask me if we were including forms and at the time I said no without anticipating how many people would have 'em on their cards already).

And I think I will change the drawing to 20 a day instead of 12, to make up for the larger pool. So when the round begins at 10PM PST, I will draw 10 Pokemon, and then at 10 AM PST I will draw another 10, and so on.

And a quick note for apro - I see you have Torchic, which is Fire-type only unlike the rest of its line, if you wanted to change that!
