[Pokémon] *+:。♡.。The Fairy Type Club。.♡。:+*

Back again. Damn, havent really been active.. Anyway, cutest fairy type.. That is hard to answer for me. I think Pokemon like Mawile, Sylveon, Primarina and A Vulpix are adorable. Even Ribombee is kind of cute. Fairy types need you to protecc them. Anyway, I think both the games and the anime have sold me on A Vulpix. That little pure white ball of fluff just gets me every time.

I am a little disappointed though. I once tried to make a Fairy Type fan club whenstill used my PokeHunterBlack account. *3* Didn't work out. I ain't mad though. Fairy is our ruler. *-*)/

Not to be a thorn in the side on facts but A Vulpix isn't a Fairy Type ;). I do agree with you though that its the cutest white ball of fluff imaginable. Cutest Ice Type by far and the perfect marriage between Ice Types(my favorite Typing) and Vulpix(my favorite Pokemon). That's why if I had the Switch, I'd be looking at Let's GO Eevee for just that reason alone since Alolan Vulpix(and Alolan Ninetales) is exclusive to that version.

Hey Decibel! Glad you're back. n_n Shame the first club fell through. If the old club were still open and around I'd have bumped it instead of making a new one. That said, I will gladly be the one ruler. ;)

Can I vote that all Fairy types are the most cute? I guess if I HAVE to pick it would be Sylveon but I'm still leaning towards choosing all Fairy types!

I had a dream that Kanto Ninetales gained Fairy Typing to become Fire/Fairy like its Alolan Counterpart which is Ice/Fairy. Am I wrong to think like that or should it be Fire/Psychic like Victini?

YES! I've always believed that Ninetales should be a Fire/Psychic type. Several of its pokedex entries do indicate that it indeed possesses psychic powers.

Anyways, I must apologize for being so inactive! Senior year is proving to be quite the busy time, although I'll try to post more often and to participate in discussion.

Also, to whoever suggested a fairy type themed PMD game, I think you're brilliant. Sounds like a match made in heaven!

Senior Year is the best time of your life because it only goes downhill after that lmao. College, if you opt to go mind you(not for everyone), will suck the life out of you. My Senior Year I had half a day because my Freshman Year I did 8 classes and hence got extra units that allowed me to get by with just 4 classes my Senior Year. That allowed me to go half a day or out by lunch. Good times... lmao.

Hey MysticalNinetales! Don't worry, there's no penalty for absence. n_n You keep doing well in school - that's what's most important! xoxo

And actually this is good I get to post again instead of make an edit cause I forgot to give my two cents on the other Ninetales thing! I do think Fire/Psychic is actually more fitting than Fire/Fairy, much to my own chagrin. It just feels more fitting, like how Noctowl would be good as Flying/Psychic or Florges would be good with Fairy/Grass typing. Plus, isn't the nine-tailed kitsune a magical or psychic being anyway?

how did I know you were going to pick sylveon? guess im just good at guessing lol

Ohhh. That's right, I forget about that due to A Sandshrew is Ice/Steel, not just Sandslash.

And yes, if not A Vulpix.. It has to be Sylveon. It was also my reasoning to grow to love Fairy-types.

So yes, the Sylveon queen herself is of course fit to rule us. Also, so we can blame her when things go wrong

Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention Mimikyu in my list. I'm upset with myself.

Hi guys! sorry for disappearing I am doing waaay too much on PC which distracts me from fun clubs aaah ; ;

To be quite honest I don't know why Alolan Ninetales was given a fairy typing to begin with, but it's cute haha. Regular version would definitely make more sense to be retyped as fire/psychic. It can learn Psyshock via TM and there's also episode 232 of the anime, where Ninetales was your obvious Japanese nine-tailed fox spirit that used psychic powers to trap people.

I playfully mentioned using Clefairy or Jigglypuff competitively in the forum games board.

Now I wanna know some nice recommended move sets for these two pokemon's lines :O :)

If we're basing this on Generation 1, then Clefairy is more of a Special Attacker than Physical while Jigglypuff is Physical because it's Special sucks. However, if we're looking at evolved forms, they're not too bad but compared to Generation 1 and now, Wigglytuff got a huge buff. Therefore for Clefairy I'd do Minimize, Metronome, Psychic and Thunderbolt to take advantage of the higher Special. Unfortunately no STAB but there aren't any Special Normal moves. As for Jigglypuff, it's all about the Physical so Body Slam, Strength, Rest and either Double Team or Double Edge(not a fan of recoil moves but you have 140 base HP).

Also take a gander at something I sent Nah for the Previous Generations FAQ. Took me five hours to write this up but it's basically Kanto Pokemon with their Generation 1 Stats(Special counted twice since it's lumped together in Generation 1) compared to what it is now. Many Kanto Pokémon got buffed but conversely many also got nerfed big time... like my *sniff* Ninetales *sniff*

As you may know, Generation 1 is the only Generation where Special Attack and Special Defense were lumped together into one stat. With LGPE bringing us back to Kanto again, it caused me to look at Kanto Pokemon and compare them to what we had to work with in Pokemon Yellow(the game LGPE is based on). The results were relatively mixed with some Pokemon getting buffs while others getting nerfed big time(particularly the legendaries....). Still pisses me off that Vulpix line got nerfed from an offensive standpoint while Growlithe line got buffed. Hell Charizard got buffed. Oh and this took me ~5 hours to do so I hope you appreciate it. Feel free to add it to the FAQ if you'd like and if you want to spruce it up, go right ahead. Just a word of warning, be prepared for a lot of scrolling... lmao.

Spoiler:

Based on current Generation 1 stats, you'll find that there was a reason Blue has Gyarados and Exeggutor on his team(580 base stats might be why) on Red/Blue. However if you didn't care about Physical brute strength, then Tentacruel is the best Water Type specialist bar none. Best Ice Type is Cloyster on Stats but Lapras(or Dewgong) has the best Special(but it's speed and far lower Special compared to Tentacruel hurts it). Therefore, if I was making a best of the best team based on stats without legendaries, it'd be Dragonite, Exeggutor, Tentacruel, Jolteon, Ninetales, and Rhydon(although I think I'd sacrifice a bit of offensive power for speed in Sandslash).

Isn't it ironic that in Red/Blue, Blue has Gyarados, Rhydon(485 base stats), Arcanine(515, not bad), Exeggutor(580), Alakazam(540) and Pidgeot(469). Swap out Fire, Grass or Water for the starter. In Yellow, he swaps Rhydon out for Sandslash(not much loss in stats for better type coverage(x2 Water/Grass weakness)), keeps Alkazam, swaps Ninetales in for Arcanine(base improvement Special wise), Cloyster for Gyarados(Gyarados is better IMO but Cloyster has x2 weakness to Electric) and keeps Exeggutor. Swaps flying Type for an Eevolution(which is way stronger. Typically it's Jolteon but if it's Flareon or Vaporeon, swap out Ninetales or Cloyster and add in Magneton(next best Electric Type on Stats). Therefore, it's debatable about which team is better but I think his Yellow team is the strongest.

Anyways, what team(Fairy Pokemon included if you wish), would you make? Best Fairy Type(or Normal Type for me lmao) is Clefable with 85 Special. It's up to 95 and therefore in LGP, it's my Fairy representation.

I would say

Clefable @Leftovers

Cosmic Power - Raising defences
Wish - Recovery
Hidden Power (Ground) - For Steel and Poison Types
Calm Mind or Toxic. - To raise Sp Att or Stalling

Not too sure about Wigglytuff though, sorry

hey Desert Stream~! Welcome to the Fairy club! I'll add your information shortly. n_n

Possibly both but what is there to talk about? Outside of LGPE, there's really nothing new to talk about and of the Kanto 151, only three lines made the cut: Mr.Mime, Clefairy and Jigglypuff. If you get Eevee version, tack on Alolan Ninetales but out of ~170 species(including Alolan variants), a whopping 6 are Fairy Types? Granted we can't complain since Ghost and Dragon get the short end of the stick at 4 a piece(which only hurts Eevee's value frankly, especially when Alolan variants are included).

Though I think we can all give a little love to the Mr. Mime from the Detective Pikachu movie, lol.

Anything that takes Animation and makes it live action is freaky. Be it Turtles, this or Avatar(*shivers*).

The movie has made me really excited. All the Pokemon models look like what I expected them to in real life. Pikachu is adorable. Mr. Mime is hilarious, They did an amazing job with them. Anime Jigglypuff too, we are in for some shenanigans. Is this where Jigglypuff was before it went to Alola?? XD
