[PokeCommunity.com] VGPOTW #18: Ain't No Rest For The Wicked

Welcome to Video Game's Poll of the Week! Thanks to the permission of Pokemon General's moderator Brendino, Video Games will now be hosting a weekly series that pits certain video game characters, levels, and universes against other to see which one will come out on top! In last week's Poll of the Week, Mario Party 2 became a Superstar and dressed for the occasion by becoming PC's favorite Mario Party game!
Don't just vote; expand on your answers! Tell us why you prefer one video game element over another! Posts that don't elaborate as to why specific elements were chosen will be deleted, and a warning may be given out through an infraction if it's a reoccurring issue.
If you have a matchup that you would like to see, whether between video game characters or worlds/universes, send me a VM or PM and if your matchup gets chosen then an emblem will be given out as a reward!

    Without further ado:

Which is/are your favorite Borderlands class(es)?

When it comes to my favorite classes in the Borderlands series, my favorites are The Soldier, The Commando, and The Enforcer. One reason why I like Roland, Axton, and Wilhelm's classes is because their action skills give them a little extra fire power/healing when fighting enemies. Plus I have used all three of those classes.

Have you experimented with the other classes?

Don't everyone raise their brows at me all at once. But, I think most classes/races/types in each game have strengths and weaknesses, some more than others. But since I am a casual player, I tend to pick the ones I like best rather than which are most useful, though most of the time its a mixture. It's never fun if you don't like your character afterall.

First off, I love lilith, not so much Maya, and that is why I voted Siren class as my first choice.
Secondly, I love Gaige, especially with the xxx headgear, so I voted mechromancer.
    Thirdly, I voted assassin, I love the alien-eque headgear/skins.

Gaige has been one of the most fun characters I have used so far. The extra support from a beefed up Deathtrap makes a lot of the more difficult battles much more manageable when you have to play single player. In fact, Wilhelm is fun for much the same reason. His drones are extremely effective and you can actually make them your only means of offense if you build correctly and have the right Class Mod.

Salvador is awesome! The dual wielding in Borderlands 2 is better than any other game I've played, except when I have trigger pull weapons, they're weird when dual wielding. But yeah, it feels really strong and you can make it last just forever if you play correctly. Salvador is probably my most favorite.

But recently I've been playing with Krieg, and I have to admit they really improved the Melee combat compared to what Brick was. The addition of a ranged attack really balanced it out for faster enemies. Plus listening to him scream as you hack everyone to pieces with a Buzz-Axe is extremely satisfying.

I voted for Zer0, Gaige, and Athena.

Zer0 is at the top of my favorites because I love stealth, and he's honestly the only one who can pull it off. His action skill is badass, and can make for some pretty cool and flexible strategies. Not to mention, once you get Death Bl0ss0m, any fight becomes an absolute slaughter, even the DLC bosses can't stay alive for long when hit with the attack it provides.

Gaige makes the list for being versitile, powerful, and fun. Watching Deathtrap slaughter entire camps at higher levels is a delight, and the way he changes appearance based on the skills you choose is fantastic. Plus, mecha wolverine claws.

Athena is also fun, though very different. In general, I just love soaking up damage so that it can be used by my character as a lethal weapon.

He wasn't on the list, but I would've also voted for the Doppelganger, because his melee attack is a hilariously pathetic punch, and I can't resist muttering, "Jack Punch" every time I use it.
