Chit-Chat: a good ol' fashioned DCC!

A very relaxing day for me.
Shiny breeding while listening to some music.
Just a really slow & calm day.
Nothing to worry about 😇

I feel so sick today, spent it in bed.
nothing too serious I hope?

Hope you're ok!

I dont feel like I've had a chance to relax this weekend 😕. I've either been working on the garden or been too ill. But this week should be OK despite having work. Just hope this pain goes (4 weeks and counting since this pain sprang up. Booked for a scan but I hope its nothing too serious 😅)

I am, I'm just always tired and it really gets in the way of life ;_;

My cousin graduated from college. I think what she accomplished was remarkable especially with the pandemic and some of the emotional problems she was dealing with, I couldn't have done that. She looked so beautiful and happy too in her graduation photos. I couldn't be there in person I'm afraid. Because of the covid restrictions every graduate could only bring two guests, so obviously the spots needed to go to her parents, who paid for her education. Not even her grandmother was allowed to come. I am a bit misty-eyed right now, but glad she got have some kind of a ceremony. She double majored in psychology and business with a concentration in marketing. She's a talented girl and I know she has a bright, bold future ahead of her.

Congrats to her! It is amazing in a pandemic because of how education has been so unstable. Best of luck to her!
I'm ancient so I graduated back in 2010 and 2013.

I can't imagine how stressful education has been during the last couple of years - home study isn't easy and at higher levels of education especially it's difficult when you don't have instant access to your teachers. You can always use Zoom or Teams, but there's no guarantee you'll get hold of them...something I am finding when trying to get hold of certain people at work...

Over the past year I've been taking classes via zoom...including the core ones that usually require you to attend on campus to take them. It hasn't been easy. Even my internship and job went remote...so I don't even know what a physical office looks like lol.

But a lot of us did persevere, and I do give a pat on the shoulder to those who are graduating. Y'all are troopers.

Congratulations to her! Especially during such a tough time!

Some don't have internet access at all, or a computer, so I imagine it's pretty hard. I remember an article about some girls getting in trouble for using a restaurants wifi for class.

Awww congrats to her!

The longer the cold and rain persists, the better...heat absolutely destroys my ability to function in any meaningful sense. The heatwave we had last year was horrendous...

Anywho, my grandparents are visiting this weekend since lockdown restrictions are relaxing. Not seen them since August 2019 so that'll be nice I guess? I usually stay out of the way though because the conversations they have with my parents are thoroughly uninteresting aha

My husband and I will be cleaning up our big backyard to get ready for Memorial Day. We invited our families over for a cook-out (he's keeping up the tradition of his own family). And if weather permits, I want to walk my dogs at the nature trails near us, maybe invite my mom and her dog, too. I'd really, REALLY like to clean my house, too, nice and thorough. So it'll be a pretty busy weekend.

Heading towards June, and it still feels like winter half the time here! This just ain't right :(

Has anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend?

I know what you mean. The weather has been SH*T!! This time last year my garden was as dry as a bone....now it's a swamp.

As for plans, probably sleep 😂. Though I do need some paint so may pop to the craft shop but it depends if it's going to be a wash out.

Well it's gonna rain all weekend, wanted to go to a water park but apparently that ain't happening. :( I've been itching to get out of the house all week.

Your entire neighborhood could be a water park if you're ambitious enough lol

This entire country is a water park tbh. A very windblown water park.
