Oh god, don't give Square Enix ideas! We've finally gotten away from FFXIII! Don't tempt them to go back to it. xD

That said, I did really like Serah in XIII-2. Ignoring her voice actress for a minute - creating a giant-sized proverbial elephant in the room, but humour me for a minute, haha - she was a pretty good character by the end of the game. She stopped pining pretty damn quick over her comfort sources' absence, didn't attach herself to Noel, and even when she got to see Snow again, she didn't immediately lose all of the strength of character she'd built up (not much, but more than Yuna had at least) at the sight of him. It was actually a fairly nice little reunion. Sure, she was looking for Lightning, but she wasn't wandering around like a lost waif whilst Noel did all the work. Noel was an inconvenient tag-along.

...just GOD, I wish it made sense. I've seen amateur Engrish fanfiction with smaller plot holes. "Because time paradox" does not explain away some of the serious bullshit going on in that game. Much as I hate FFXIII - and I do; it's an awful game - at least it had a proper conclusion. It was mired in never-explained concepts and a suspension of disbelief that almost required alcohol in copious amounts to swallow, but it ENDED. XIII-2 was all over the place, it was as though they all got together, had a brainstorm, and then put ALL of it in, with no refinements. I was half-expecting a musical number at some point.

Final Fantasy XIII: The Musical. I'd go and see it. I envision it being a cross between Legally Blonde and Avenue Q for some reason...maybe because Snow reminds me of Trekkie Monster. Ohgodwhathelp

Serah Returns Revenge with a Vengeance the Reckoning should be a thing now. Add some Dethklock, Psychostick, The Crystal Method, Noisia, and the guy who did the vocals for Sam Rodrigeuz's theme and we are good to go. And Local/Online Co-op too.

Oh and Rules of Nature.

Hey hey hey, its time for Serah... to... dang i forgot what she does..

Okay VG folks, I'm a dummy and I need everyone's insight.

Y'know that Forum Frontier thread over in the Treehouse? Before the current nomination thread, I threw out the idea of some kind of multiplayer offshoot of VG. I think machomuu told me something like this existed a few years back? What were some of the strengths and weaknesses of that former sub-forum?

Anyway, I don't know if such a thing being brought back would even be viable anymore. I only wish to play a wider variety of games more often with the people of PC again. The official Minecraft server seems pretty active, but I'm not really interested in playing Minecraft anymore (Although I'd be willing to try playing Terraria with others since I bought the game for two bucks during the Christmas Steam sale. xD)

Anyway who the heck needs some kind of new temporary forum when we can just try to up our multiplayer gaming here and now? (Although if you have any solid ideas for a would-be forum, by all means make a good pitch!) What games are you guys interested in playing with others on at least a semi-regular basis? As for myself, I would like to play Splatoon, osu!, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Super Smash Bros Wii U/3DS. Perhaps give Terraria on PC a try playing with others via Steam.

I have no place to say about the existence of a sub forum dedicated for multiplayer yet since I'm just a lil rookie (who btw loves trolling our lovely members here, no bromo) but I'll just go with the simpler ones.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is a pretty nice option if there are active people/participants. I'm pretty sure the MH4U community itself is pretty active as well so there's a really high chance of getting some more dudes and dudettes as well. Though as much as I would love to play MH4U with real peeps right now, I need to practice my weapon swinging first. You'll all laugh at how horribly bad i play the viable weapons in the game D:

I never said I think we needed a multiplayer subforum. (Hence, why I did not post a more detailed pitch in the nominations thread.) I just wish for some advice on bringing players together again, since I have no experiencing running/hosting game events here. It would be fun to see us arranging events to get PC members playing all sorts of different games together. :)

While I would abstain from refering to stuff done in other forums, I remember people hosting like monthly contests or something like that. Say in Splatoon there would be some monthly competitions between members and stuff. Just an example i guess. People who won these contests would get some sick sweet new banners as proof of their victories.

Just a thought though.

Co-Op stuff is still much more enjoyable than competitive stuff. Oh god I'm saying that right now? ME Saying that Co-op is more fun than Competitive?

Hey VG. You wanna know a good combination of VG Caffeine + Hotsauce + Donuts all in one?

Spoiler:

***********************************

I finally understood what some people meant by "Streamlining" video games for the sake of whatsoever. I have made a humble conclusion and hypothesis all at once... I call it...

Spoiler:

or could be the removal of gameplay features from an established franchise for the convenience of "simpler and faster" gameplay. x-x I had to cure myself of my N2O Trip to realize what some people were referring to about Streamlining.

People will usually join if they're interested enough. Usually it needs to be free (ie. they won't join an event for a game they don't own) and they have enough time to plan around it. I hosted some TF2 events a few years back and there was a decent turn-out. Would need to get a good idea of what common games everyone owns and we can start planning from there, ya know?

Hi, I was wondering something. I'm getting a New 3DS XL and giving my sister my 3DS XL but I need to keep the charger from the normal XL so I can't give that to her. She has a charger but it's from the normal sized 3DS. Would her charger fit the 3DS XL?

Yes, it will~

So i'm just about to install Shadow of Mordor in a few minutes and i quickly just looked at one of the things you can do to those "poor" orcs.

As much as these stealth kills are so awesome, sometimes i can't resist feeling sorry for those poor orcs. I mean look at their faces. They are terrified. They are agonizing in pain. They are...

well they are still a bunch of orcs. After all, orcs have two states of being in reality: 1) Being dead, and 2) Not being dead.

I should really get around to Shadow of Mordor on PS4...I've had it since October, I think? It's one of the 56 unplayed games (at current count) I have yet to play.

God, it's depressing. My completion rate is only 57.8%...got some work to do.

Shadow of Mordor's fun. Despite not being a LOTR fan, preordered it cheap and had a blast. The nemesis system makes that game.

But I'm not really into the idea of backlogs. I guess large Steam library and the general rapid acquisition of games helps. Still at the beginning of Disgaea 5, got SMTIV years ago and am crawling through it, and still at the beginning of Youkai Watch, among many other unfinished games. Playing Fates now, but if I put it down before beating even the one version I had I wouldn't be surprised. I'm much more into the idea that I'm compelled to play something because I enjoy it rather than because it's there, though I will say that having paid for something does give me a bit of a push to play something I might have cared less about if, say, I pirated it or got it free.

Games- and anime, for that matter, are really a priority based on what I want when rather than because they're unfinished. I'm not really the type of person that starts one game and focuses on that one game before getting to others.

More and more, I've not been finishing what I start...but I've been buying more than I used to, so it's not too surprising. I'm also a lot harder to please, and a lot of the games I buy are more stopgaps between releases I'm really looking forward to, rather than titles I'm genuinely looking forward to.

For example, I'm not going to start Earthbound or anything else yet because I know the second I get Stella Glow next week I won't put it down until I finish it; I am itching to get my hands on it more than I have been anything else on the 3DS this year thus far.

...at least this is the case now. xD

Racked up 6 more trophies in Far Cry Primal today, and tried to take on an outpost that I was clearly not ready for. Got destroyed and called it a day.

...

I can relate to that. I have a huge backlog of games and I need to play them at some point. And then I need to get a new nunchuck for my Wii so I can get back to Okami and Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower and probably something else. o>

I need to stop buying games for a while. x:

Well at least some of you have the luxury of being able to buy and install loads of games. I'm here busy spring cleaning my laptop out of junk from 2010 and beyond so i can conveniently have the space.

So while i was so tripping with N20 the other night (my previous posts), and to be honest, I'd still be tripping on N2O's glorious 90's trance soundtrack rather than cigarettes, and once again, I finally found another PSX game that i wanted to play again.

WELCOME TO LEGEND.

PSX Why are you so good. For some reason, many of these PSX games that I really enjoyed are those with really low production values but they were fun as balls anyway.

Well I had to beg my parents for a external Hard Drive to keep the games on since I couldn't afford one myself. I don't have much space on this without it. xd
