Can I have my username changed?

I wasn't there for when we were allowed to name change. It would be pretty cool for me. I would change my name to LilJz, because it's just a habit of mines to put LilJz1234 on every website that I gotta make an account. Now that I see that I'm pretty much on this website when I'm on the PC, I wanna change my name to LilJz and take out those pesky numbers.

What'cha guys think? Isn't LilJz better than LilJz1234? :D
 
I changed my name a few times for the sake of change. I probably shoul'dve just stuck with one username but it was fun to have the occasional change.

The original was switching accounts from nayana_1120 to sammi-san. Back in those days it was the only way to change your name too. And then...

sammi-san > Sammi > Nayana > Sammi > Sana > sammi-san, iirc. I don't think I should be missing any?

Name changes were cool, if a bit confusing, so I wouldn't complain if they were to magically return. If name changes were to come back, I'd probably come up with something else for a username. Something awesome. Maybe. I don't like having a Japanese honorific on my name anymore, makes me feel like a weaboo. :p

At this point, though, I wouldn't make a new account for a new name. Noobish as mine may be, I am very attached to the stats on this account. It'd be perfect if this one had my May 2004 join date instead of January 2005... Oh well.
 
I had to stretch my limited creative mind to come up with my a username that I'm half happy with; so the thought of coming up with another one gives me a headache. -_-
 
I only had one name change here. Back when I first joined, I used the name "Hanako Tabris", which was fine for a while until I started identifying as male. When the final name change sweep was announced, I leaped on "Astinus" and now use this name wherever I can. (It's a rather well-known name.) This name fits me so perfectly and everyone knows me by this name, so I'm never getting rid of it.
 
I joined after the death of name changes, and I was confused on what I was going to call myself so I randomly took this name because it was my original username back when I used to be on Bulbagarden. I don't mind having numbers, because it can make you special in some cases. Nowadays in most places I often get called Daikenki, Hikari or Hikamaru.

However, as for making a new account? I'd probably wouldn't cos I can't donate and I'm happy with the italic name I have now. If I were to make a new account for a username change I probably would have named it Hikamaru but yeah I'm staying on this account thank you. Because the 10 references my birth month, of course!

Anyway, I am fine with name changes being gone. I used to sign on and think "omg a new mod?!" and it was just a mod that got a name change haha. I'm not partial to change either, so it's difficult for me to adjust to things. And now that name changes have been gone for so long, it'd be really weird to see them come back now. Some people really need it though, bless them.

I have only had three name changes, and it was just back and forth really. I came here as SilverSmeargleSplatter, changed to Sydian, went back to SSS, and then to Sydian. Funny story about that final change to Sydian is that Hiiro/Aerilyn was Sydian for two days! I come back from an LOA and here's this new mod with MY name! So we talk it out over PM and he went back to Hiiro and I went back to Sydian. I owe you so much thanks, Shivi. I'd still be SSS without you. It was destiny. Clearly.

I don't want to change my name. I am the embodiment of Sydian. I can't see myself as anything else. If I had to change my username, it would be to Allison, Austere, Seiphre or Joey, What's Sex?.

I joined years after the name changes were removed so I never got to experience it. But I'm a member of a few forums that allow name changes and it's a pretty nice feature to have. Though I can understand PC not having it, if it causes the server to crash too much.

I don't think I'd change my username if I could. I'm satisfied with AWsquared and wouldn't change it at all. It's has a nice ring to it and it isn't too silly and I'm not embarrassed to be known as it cause it's become iconic. If I really wanted to though, I wouldn't mind changing it to Kouzan if it were temporarily, but I'm okay with making an alt if I want to go by that name as well. Though I'd still use this one mostly cause it has the perks of supportership on it and my blog.

I have come way too late when PC has dropped the name changing feature, so I don't feel bothered about that, because I understand why they dropped it.

I sometimes wished to change my username into Shining Windy, although I still like my current one (Wind Heart). I'd like to see the name changing feature back when it's ready again without issues. And I won't making new account because I don't want to risk my post counts.
 
Hmmm, I love changing usernames.

It's a nice switch up, even though I usually just go back to missing whatever username I had the longest. For awhile I switched away from this account because the username is also the name of someone I know, and he sort of threatened to kill me and some friends, and would talk about killing people and how to do it all the time. I just not did want that name association / didn't want people calling me by it. That was a couple of years ago, and since then I've come back to this one, but that was the only time I created an alternate account that I've really used a lot for the sake of a new name. x__x

If we had name changes now I'd use them occasionally, still on some level switching away for too long would bother me. Which is weird. I mean, it's a username on the internet, but still. xD;
 
i joined after name changes were stopped. I would never change my username because it's my real name and I suck at coming up with usernames. I'm satisfied with Avishka :3
 
I was around during the name change era, but never really had any desire to change my name, since I already got the one that I wanted. I remember when it was announced that username changes were going away, and I almost considered making one, but had no idea what I wanted to be, and figured a change for the sake of change wasn't worth it.

If username changes were to come back permanently, I might switch over to something like BrendiNo. (as a reference to the way MissingNo. is sometimes spelled), but I'd probably change back after a little while. If we all got only one more name change though, I think I'd pass on the opportunity.

I think I changed as often as I could xD Just because it was a cool thing to do and I wanted a bit of variation.

Let's see if I remember them all... Yeah, all but the one I signed up with are listed in my statistics.

Fabledawn -> Fable-chan -> Furuba -> The Fable -> Rarris -> Fables

And then I made an alt account for fun, playing around with extremely long and weird usernames, and Red's Hawt Chibi Pelippers emerged. Soon, I realized that despite my history of mostly fable-related names, I really liked my alt's name. So I switched them around. I think that particular account is named Gavin<3 now lol

And to both parties:
Nah, never. This name might not be the easiest for people to say, but hey, Red seems to work, or my nickname. I think I won username of the year a while ago actually xD

I guess it would be nice to have an alt named something Fable-ish though. Just for old memories' sake :3
 
I've changed my username all of once that I've ever been here. I joined as "Cowrie", and I forget why exactly I changed - I think I wanted a change of pace from my previous name, and it was only after like months of deliberation as to whether I should or not, and what I wanted to change it to...

I'm not very good at making up names, so I didn't want to do it unless I was absolutely sure I wanted it. :P

I don't think I'd ever change it back, honestly. I've kind of grown attached to it.
 
I joined the forums months after name changes stopped and I kinda wish I joined before that happened. But three years later, I still appreciate this name. I may want to change my name, and perhaps get rid of the 90, but I grew up with this name and I don't think I'll change it for the better.
 
I wasn't around during the time of name changes, and I don't really care. I like my username--it is a moniker that I use in many places.I think it is a rather clever play on of the words anarchy and architect. It reflects my growing sentiments to reshape the world in a better light, however ambitious such dreams might be.
 
I haven't and probably will not change my user name. As weird as it is to say out loud, I've become rather attached to the Mr Cat Dog moniker. It's not particularly deep or meaningful, but it's mine. And that's what's important, really.
 
I changed my username once for the heck of it. But even then it was pretty much just the same name, just spaced out. Silly, I know, but I wanted a name change but I had no idea to what. I just love my username that much I guess haha! It's original and I often use it on other sites. Though, there are one or two names that I also use that I could switch to if user name changes ever come back but I think I will always be BinaryPeaches around here. It's what everyone knows me by after all.
 
My username is after a song that I don't even like much, I kind of wish I could change it to my usual username but it's not worth making a new account over.

Do you happen to recall how often you changed your username? What were some past usernames you had, or why did you decide not to change your username? Do you miss the name changes?

I don't remember quite how often...but I know on my previous account usernames included Kyo_Tohma, Divine~Deoxys, ROFLCune (I'm not sure if that was before Divine~Deoxys, after it, or a separate account after I annoyed too many people).
This account I only set up in '09 (I think I've been here since early '08 overall), but I had two name changes. Started out as Unidentified Flying Aces (I liked H.A.W.X. at the time), then changed to Lance (UFA) because I got obsessed with PokéSpe and Lance. Then when they announced final name changes I came up with Amore because I'd become obsessed with Italy :P. Plus I like having a short username.



And to both parties:
Would you like to change your username now? If so, to what? Also, would you like to see them back if hstaff found a way to have it happen without the server crashes? Or would the hassle of having to create a whole new account not phase you in the slightest?

Na, at the moment I don't really want to change username. It got confusing when people changed names, particularly if a group of people had similar themes :S
Without server crashes? Sure, bring them back. But if the server crashes remove them again. PC is still the slowest site I visit by far (operates at the speed Facebook did on our first Broadband).
I wouldn't like making a new account as I'd lose supporter status and I like a) the nice bar and different-coloured username, and b) profile customisations (pretty sure they are, or used to be a supporter thing).
