Casual Archipelago (Complete)

[PokeCommunity.com] Casual Archipelago (Complete)

L.M.A.O. Incredible.

Eevee to the Past (Part 8?)

Freedom! Has been locked pretty hard. Has not gotten more than one item in a session since October 27, according to the log. So, before the start of Hexipelago. Killed the last boss(es) a few days before that. Technically would have unlocked more than one item with the Flippers a day or two ago, if not for the Fake Flippers glitch.

Got quite a few things since the last real time playing, namely Tempered Sword, Silver Arrows, Half-Magic, Ice Rod, the aforementioned Flippers, Magic Mirror, and another bottle. Unlocked Swamp Palace with the combination of Flippers + Magic Mirror. Wanted to check one thing first: the Floating Island on east Death Mountain. Saw someone's Bombos there. Could belong to either Link to the Past player. Turned out to be Eevee's, which means go-mode. Nice.

Did not bother looting all the chests. Releases all of them at the end anyways. Battled Blind in Swamp Palace. Met Trinexx at the end of Misery Mire. Ended up needing that Ice Rod after all. Yielded Crystals #5 and #6. Needed 6 crystals to beat Ganon.

Charged straight to Ganon afterwards. Had a Blue and Green Potion on-hand. Deemed that to be more than enough. Did not enough come close to needing them. Absolutely crushed it.
Took damage once during the whole fight.

[PokeCommunity.com] Casual Archipelago (Complete)

Released all the remaining items. Saw nothing super great: a Pinewood Chop for FF12, Spike Breaker for Symphony of the Night (progression, but not mentioned above), 500 Time Shards for the Messenger, and Industial Zone (Map 15) Yellow Keycard for Doom 2.

Finished all three games with that.

Congrats on the victory!

Spike Breaker for Symphony of the Night (progression, but not mentioned above)

Spike Breaker is handy to have for progression, but not required, it's useful for a couple rooms that can be bypassed if you have other upgrades. Basically, helpful unless you have Soul of Bat. Thanks though!

Industrial Zone (Map 15) Yellow Keycard for Doom 2.
This had @Setsuna's Meditation for The Messenger and Artifact of Warrior for Metroid Prime locked behind it, and I've obtained both. I also won't need the last Industrial Zone key now, by the way. It's entirely redundant once you have the other two keys.

I suppose, since I have nothing to do and everything is hardlocked, I might as well take the time to go over every progression item available, and what it unlocks. Items necessary for goal completion are underlined.

Sonic Adventure 2:

Spoiler:

Doom 1:

Note: Items listed in check descriptions are not the actual Doom 1 items, but randomized items listed in those items' locations by Archipelago's software. If no description is listed, assume everything left in the level, listed under its E_M_ level code, is accessible with just that one item.

Spoiler:

Doom II: Hell on Earth

Note: Like Doom 1, items listed in check descriptions are not the actual Doom 1 items, but randomized items listed in those items' locations by Archipelago's software. If no description is listed, assume everything left in the level, listed under its MAP__ level code, is accessible with just that one item.

Spoiler:

EDIT: Found Military Base and removed it from the list.

While we're waiting (29 hours since anyone found a check, as of this post), could we get another round of status updates? I know Vendily is waiting for the Shell Necklace from my Icon of Sin to get the last two checks in A Short Hike, Devalue is done, and I'm stuck, with all my items listed above. This leaves Setsuna (Messenger, Symphony of the Night, Metroid Prime), Arcaneum (FF12 and Ocarina of Time), Porykid (Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga), and Alex (Link to the Past). Which of you are blocked, and what do the four of you need to progress further?

I am also stuck, waiting on keys mainly.

The only thing that's changed for me since my last update was that big clear of SotN and beating BRC. Prime and Messenger are in the same place, and the people who have items I need have been told and are aware. I don't really have an update to give.

Alright then, looks like the only two people with checks available are @PoryKid575 and @Arcaneum.

Digging into a couple of their games with Poptracker, it appears that Arcaneum's final Chaos Emerald is accessible in a Joke's End digspot at the southernmost room of Joke's End 1, which is accessible to PoryKid (not to be confused with my own Chaos Emerald, also in Joke's End, which needs one more item to be accessible).

PoryKid, if you can get that, Arcaneum can enter Go Mode and beat and release the other Sonic Adventure 2. That should release 178 more checks for us all.

Arcaneum sent me another Doom 1 level, Military Base, and in return I found the Treasure Scope for their Sonic Adventure 2, though this will be meaningless once PoryKid finds Arcaneum's Chaos Emerald later today.

I also found a Small Key (Swamp Palace) for @Alex_Among_Foxes.

I'm having an issue with connecting my ROM to the lua console. It's telling me that there's an invalid ROM, but I haven't touched a thing and have absolutely no idea what's wrong with it.

Since Arcaneum just finished FF12 and got me a ton of stuff, I'm going to do a full update of my progression item list. Like last time, items necessary for goal completion are underlined.

As for items I found, @Setsuna, I found your hinted Strike of the Ninja for The Messenger. I also got an Energy Tank and your Artifact of World for Metroid Prime. @PoryKid575, I got you your Bean Fruit 4.

@Arcaneum, my Bounce Bracelet, which I've just hinted for, is in your SA2B, so I should get it once you beat your now-available Green Hill Zone and release.

EDIT: PoryKid found the Super Shotgun, so I removed it from this iteration of the list.

Our Archipelago server changed its port to archipelago.gg:33927 because of inactivity yesterday. If it's still 49545, you need to change whatever connection you were using that used that number.

That worked perfectly, thank you!

It's likely that I'll have a power outage due to bad weather in my area. In a worst-case scenario, I could go a couple days without an internet connection, which will prevent me from getting any checks in my games. The most probable scenario is that I'll lose power and get it back by tomorrow morning. Regardless, I don't expect to be able to get anything this afternoon after Arcaneum clears and releases SA2B.

EDIT: I got a brownout recently so a full-on power outage is likely. Logging off now, will not log on until tomorrow morning at the earliest.

I hope it clears up soon and your power stabilizes!

Don't have the time to make a big post but figured I'd update and say Metroid Prime is completely cleaned out. It hasn't been completed, I'm still missing Artifacts in order to complete it, but 100/100 checks have been obtained. I'm able to finish SotN and release everything in it as well which I'll do tomorrow. The Rope Dart in The Messenger is really the only thing I still need, since I can then complete that game once I have it, I have everything else I need.

Edit: I just finished SotN as well and released everything remaining, though I'll be honest, I was too lazy to really take a look at what was in there. If I got you anything important today I just trust that you'll already see it in your tracker(s) and know what to do with it.
