So what? You're letting what the society thinks affect what you do? Will you stop liking Pokémon and loving your beloved Oshawott if people called them both pieces of ****? That's shallow, Hikari.

Just so you know, anime isn't mainstream here either. Most people laugh at me when I tell them I watch anime. Even though I'm 18. But I say it proudly nevertheless. Because I like what I do and those stupid morons can say whatever the hell they like or mock me for liking it. Like I give two ****s about their opinion.

first para, hikari. Don't see where you answered the question I posed. :p

Hey, back off guys. I don't let people know that I like pokémon. Because I'm afraid that they'd think it's silly and think bad of me, yeah. But also because it's none of their business so why should I discuss pokémon with people who don't care about it? I'm good as it is now :]

I don't really care if people know I like Pokémon or not.. this forum should be enough proof that people in their 20s still play the games if one were to be so critical to say it's a children's franchise :p

In fact, I'm considering ordering a Pokémon shirt to wear to college, and alongside that, bring my 3DS with me everyday to school as well.

I'm never afraid to show my love for Pokemon, in fact my Pokemon fangirlism managed to last into my 20's. Now at age 21, I still love Pokemon more than ever than when I was younger, even if people mocked me for playing Pokemon in my 20's.

@Adventure - You make it sound like I'm a bully, haha.

Either way, that wasn't the point of my post. What I was trying to say was that what society thinks of a certain hobby or interest of yours shouldn't affect your enjoyment of it in the least. Society's views shouldn't let you pass on things like anime because, you know, they're unpopular where you live.

Also, it seems that you like pokemon and can admit to it even though it is unpopular to do so in the place you live, hikari. But can't try anime because it is unpopular. Don't see the logic here. :p

I show my love for Pokemon everywhere. I have irl friends who are Pokemon fans so I'm not afraid to come out as a big fan myself ;D

I JUST FOUND MY OLD GAMEBOY ADVANCE in my sister's wardrobe. I will so bring it back home to the town with me and not care at all about whatever my boyfriend says about me playing Pokémon Ruby or Yellow <3

Ahh, awesomeness, Rika! ^___^ Sounds like you'll be pretty entertained. :D

Oh, and guess what guys? I FINALLY ordered my copy of X. I am so excited. Once I start my new job and get my first paycheck next month I'm buying my 3DS. Can't wait.

Me jelly. Oh well, I'll have my android phone back tomorrow so I'll play some good ol crystal or something. Maybe ruby too. Been too long.

There's Pokémon fans everywhere you go – you just have to look for them. A very pretty girl I know at my bus stop is incredibly into Pokémon, so much that she only recently started posting actual pictures of herself for her profile pictures on Facebook. Everything else is PokéPics. :)

Few of my friends are Pokémon fans, but they haven't played the games since gen three (or four; I don't remember). Fortunately, though, they still watch anime episodes every now and then. :) Some day, I'll try to persuade them into getting back into Pokémon games, too.

I don't have any real life friends who still play Pokemon. There was one at high school but once I left at the end of 2010 I basically started forgetting them all.

pft, I'm a brony. People finding out I like Pokemon is the least of my concerns. It's actually kind of funny. I use to be shy about Pokemon. Once I became a Brony, I became more open about myself likeing Pokemon. Now everyone who knows me knows I like Pokemon. I honestly did receive a little bit of grief for it at work, but it didn't last long. Not to mention, I found out several of my co-workers like Pokemon, one of them even battles competitively. I am not quite as open about being a Brony though. Nobody at work knowns, but most of my friends know.

I'm very open about liking Pokémon. Like, that's just a given thing to know about me, lol. Whenever someone asks what kind of things I like, I just tell them that I like and still play Pokémon. I used to be teased about it in middle school, but once high school started no one really cared. In fact, I met quite a bit of people who still liked it and played the games; that's pretty much when I started becoming more open about it and not caring what others may think of me for it.

I'll play Pokemon for as long as the franchise exists, I mean, it rocks! C: It's clean, touching, fun, addicting and best of all...

AWESOME!! :D :D :D

Gonna have a Ino Yanamaka theme, having a Christmas one is haaaaard. :P
