I'm just depressed purple is a color now but I can't have it...

I would love to have a purple username, but the crystal and platinum colors are pretty, too ;-; And they'd go so well with my username~!

A colored visitors list would be really lovely, though then you'd like have blinding yellows and hard-to-read colors galore XD Still, it would be fun to see~ Also seconding pink as the primary color because it looks so pretty ;;

get modded (and active) on battle server and you'll get it! :D

I tried battling once. I am very, very terrible at it. Not nearly good enough to spend enough time on the server to get it. :( I wanted it for supporters.

I think if I threw myself into competitive battling, I could get alright at it, but right now, all I can do is build teams with good concepts, but lack the skill and knowledge to use the Pokemon to their full potential. I'd say I'm average to below average, haha. d:

I've been into competitive battling for quite a few years, but I'm still terrible at putting together teams that have good synergy and predicting what my opponent will do ;; Random battles and Fortune Cups are about the only things I'm really good at and can pull off plenty of wins in, but luck plays a huge factor in those, so they aren't anything I should be proud of. Regardless, I find it a lot of fun and love participating in tournaments!

I would totally be down for a bootcamp. Like you only fight against others that signed up so it's not so embarrassing, and you each have a mentor and learn to battle!

Competitive battling is something I'd definitely like to get into, but I feel that I just don't have the spirit nor the interest to do so.

I stopped playing it competitvely a year ago, because I found it pretty much boring and I lost interest. I used to battle rarely but since a month I completely stopped. There aren't much games I play competitvely anymore.

You want to get into it but you don't have the interest to get into it? I think in that case you don't want to get into it....

I hate competitive battling. That's how I lost my best friend, so it's kind of a bad memory for me now. Plus, I'm not good with battling and stuff. I guess I just don't like the idea of losing or something... idk. I just like to play for fun. I don't believe in Pokemon EVs or IVs or natures or any of that kind of stuff.

I like the idea of competitive. Just the fact that people can have fun with Pokémon that way and that it's a serious strategical game when you take the time is really cool to me. I'm not into perfect breeding or EV training or anything and I've never really learned much for strategy, none of that appeals to me. But I think it's really cool that people can enjoy Pokémon that way and that communities are build around that.

I'm still learning competitive, in fact my skill is too minimal to begin serious teambuilding yet plus randoms can be kinda fun at the same time. It is fun trying new combinations to see what they can do and who knows it may be a great team in the end.

And on a side note I decided to disable rank images in postbits until new supporter userbars are released... having text under our names compared to staff still having userbars feels inconsistent to me.

I would love for this to happen again ;; I took part in one on PC back when PO was still popular; it was a lot of fun and shed some light on some of the aspects I was confused about!

In-game, I've done quite a bit of perfect breeding, and it's my goal to one day hatch a shiny via Masuda Method with the exact spread, Ability, and nature I want for it, haha. Idk my Shiny Value, though (I tried using the program that would tell me it, but it wouldn't run on either of my computers), so it's a real hassle trying to hatch one until I do know it. That being said, I don't really do much battling over Wi-Fi in XY; I just like breeding XD

Competitive battling is fun once you've got the hang of it but if you're someone who gets up there in official ranking, it becomes a chore staying on top because the metagame then centers around whatever teams you're using in order to try and beat you, especially if you're an 1800+ user on Showdown, for instance. ;v

I've always been keen on wanting to IV-breed as well, and I somewhat have a hang of it, but not the patience with all the egg hatching lol

Probably the same with competitive battling as well.. I'm just one of those people that want to be good at something when first trying it, but don't consider the time it takes to build up towards being more skilled at said task.

What happens with me is, I'll watch some competitive matches on YouTube, and the commentators/game play make me want to build a team and try to get my ranking up, and then I take forever trying to pick team members. Then, once I've finally decided on six Pokemon, I do one or two battles, get bored, and then not touch competitive again for weeks, haha.

One of the most annoying things about Showdown is when you've only just begun to take the upper hand, and your opponent quits the battle. :[

In the times I've been in a battle on Showdown, I've never had anybody quit a battle on me. Although it reminds me of one time on PC's server that somebody had their searcher on for a 1v1 Random battle to ladder, and they were idle. I turned my searcher on as well to ladder, and they were automatically put into a battle with me. I waited for about two minutes or so until I turned on the timer, and it ran out on them. I felt bad in doing it, but I guess greed (and wanting to ladder on 1v1 Random) got the better of me.

I've had people quit on me in PO, but the only times I've had it happen on PS were when people ended up disconnecting accidentally. I do agree it's annoying as heck when they quit while you're winning, or if they blame "hax" for losing. (Hax happens to everyone; it's part of the game and can't be controlled.) Also had issues with sore losers and sore winners, who, upon losing will throw a fit and continue challenging you until they win (or until they're banned; I've found that denying them just makes them rant even more); upon winning, they will mock you and be very egotistical.
