6th Gen Confirmed Information Discussion

I knew I was right to believe in that Mega Evo silhouette poster leak, which included Metagross. Now I wait for Mega Ludicolo, Mega Shiftry, Mega Camerupt, Mega Sharpedo, Mega Flygon, and Mega Salamence. Any idea which stat buffs Metagross will receive with its new Mega Evolution?

I so called for Metagross to get a Mega, and it looks a bit awkward design-wise but it may grow on me. Can't wait to see what ability it gets and what its stat changes will be, if those get revealed anytime soon.

And I'm relieved Steven got retained as Champion, probably due to following the path of R/S rather than Emerald. I would have imagined the negative responses if Wallace was the Champion, given how he's hated a lot compared to Steven. At least this confirms Wallace will be the 8th Gym Leader and not the Champion like many were fearing.
 
I LOVE Mega Metagross! omg it looks so awesome! I never had a Metagross so I might give it a try for my in-game team! :) Great news! Also I saw on serebii that there are different Pokemon in Hoenn than before ! I'm so excited now!
 
Yes, another Mega I got right, a few more and all of my speculated list will be on track...minus Mega Diancie, never saw that one at all.

I like how it looks, except for the beard spike, I would've preferred that to be on it's head xD.

For some reason they seem to being drawing attention to the ace Pokemon. Could this mean Megas for each of their's ace's final evolutions as I wanted?

I had that train of thought at first too, then I thought it would be weird if all the gym leader's main pokemon could mega evolve. It could happen though.

At this point, nothing should be taken for granted....AT ALL.
 
About the different Pokemon appearing in Hoenn. Why the use of the word 'different' rather than 'new' or 'more'. I hope that some Gen I and Gen II pokemon aren't replaced...but that could be possible at this point. I hope we get more info on it.
 
Man it would be AWESOME if those trainers could mega evolve their pokemon during rematches. Mega evolution was sadly rather underutilized in XY, apart from abusing them in battles with others.

Of course I'll just take this with a grain of salt. In fact, why would they pick pokemon like Magneton if it were for mega evolutions?

On the topic of Magneton, I always assumed that Wattson's ace would be Manectric. Perhaps this means that he'll have his RS team after all as he lacked Manectric in RS.

well they could be planning on keeping the pokedex number the same, just switching out some pokemon for 'newer' ones so the word 'more' wouldn't work. And if they said 'new', people might think that brand new pokemon will appear.

well, now, that I think about it, it wouldn't be magneton that mega-evolves, but magnezone. So I would assume those pictures have nothing to do with megas at all.

They called the additions in B2W2 'new', also they made these remakes sound like they were going to be new games instead of remakes with their wording, confusing some. Well, maybe Gf learned their lesson after that introduction to ORAS trailer aka the first one.

That's correct, but it could be hinting at their final evolutions getting Megas.

Ah I didn't realize they said that B2W2 :/

The way things can get worded is very confusing, XD. Hopefully serebii will update again soon with more info on this....
 
Mega Metagross is an awesome choice, thank you game Freak. Looks like we might be seeing the redesigns of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four which I've been waiting for, can't wait to see more scans. :)

It's hard to see the gym leaders from this small image; do you happen to find a larger version to post? I also cannot see their ace Pokémon.

Sadly I couldn't get the zoomed in version from Serebii to work, so I was left with the small version. You can find the zoomed in version in Serebii or Pokebeach.

Is that Phoebe below Shiftry? And speaking of Shiftry, I thought Absol was Sydney's ace Pokémon? And why are they making Magneton Wattson's ace Pokémon again? It's not even a Hoenn Pokémon.

Magneton is technically a Hoenn Pokemon in addition to being a Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, and Kalos Pokemon as it's native to the region (being in the dex and all) even though it is a Gen I pokemon. Wattson has a very interesting fun fact, he didn't have any Gen III pokemon in RS at all. Magneton being labeled his ace makes me wonder if he'll use his RS team, which sadly was much less diverse than his Emerald team...

As far as I know, Wattson did not have manectric in R/S. Magneton was his ace in those games.

Yes, Absol is supposed to be Sidney's ace. Could this be a hint on Mega Shiftry? Maybe, or maybe not. Information isn't really precise at this point.
