Okay, now I agree. Especially since Slateport is the first place we encounter contests (but can't play them) in RS. Plus the road resemble's Slateports (Verdanturf had a (lighter than the normal grass)grass road).

Mega Slobro looks a lot like Slowpoke just in a big shell. Well more than normal Slowbro does.

But Slowbro is just a standing Slowpoke with a Shellder biting its tail anyway... :P

I maintain that they should change Slowpoke's evolution method to require a Shellder. Slowking could technically require one, too (you trade a Slowpoke holding a King's Rock for a Shellder, for example), but I think it would be too complicated.

Anyway, I've been in love with all the new NPC designs. Lisia is one of them, adorable <3

Wowie, I didn't even know that they changed her name for the English release. I kinda wonder why, but the name Lisia is also really cute sounding so I'm not complaining <3 I really like her a lot too and I can't wait to see her part in the story.
 
From the new video the game look way more fluid than XY, the view of the underwater is gorgeous, the reflection on water is great and the intro to the Gym and Villain leaders is totally awesome.

Underwater is ****ING amazing, also so is the Battle Arena approach screen, if that's what it is. Look at all the animation around it, and the long bridge; if all of the Battle Frontier has entrances like that, this is gonna be more amazing than I would have imagined. Also, all of the overworld is looking just... ugh, I'm SO excited. the hype is BACK.

Let's hope the footages were not taken on the New 3DS.

They used a White 3DS LL as the display, which is the console I currently own.

I want the 2 game bundle at ¥9,142 (according to Serebii), but MAN pokemon centers have the Hoenn Artbook too. Dang it. Lucky Japanese.

That said, the games are at 1.8GB, which is about 100MB larger than XY. Really hoping for some great content coming up.
 
I really love that shot of Brendan riding on his bike and Latios flies by. I wonder if that will be part of the new intro scene because if I recall it showed Brendan/May riding their bike with one of the Lati's flying. Given Ruby had Latios and Sapphire had Latias, I think it'll be the same for these remakes.

Route 120 and Pacifidlog Town both look pretty nice, even if the former is one of my least fave routes in Hoenn (it's got sooooooo much very tall grass, not as notorious as Route 119 though) . But I think the most beautiful-looking scene has to be the underwater, since everyone wanted to see that.

It is still kinda interesting they made the scene where you encounter a wild Pokemon slightly different from X/Y because in X/Y it just had the Pokemon's front shown when you run into it but now it's modelled from the wild encounter scenes in previous generations. The scene where you send out your Pokemon afterwards does look a bit different from X/Y as well.

And watching the trailer, Route 116 appears, and it looks like they retained the prickly Cut trees that X/Y had. Also, School Kid Jerry (I'm pretty sure that was his name) shows up with that Ralts of his. I surely remembered him from the originals in that he did rematches.

In the underwater scene, it looks like the trainer now wears a mask (which makes sense) and is shown riding a Wailmer.
 
Serious question, why can't Hoenn look like that for the OW we got in that Latios opening video bit? Unless that is the in-game Hoenn, judging from the character model, just with less detail. Otherwise, note time!
-Beldum distribution? Mega Claydol anyone?
-Mega Flygon is going to happen, I feel it. Most of the Pokemon battled have megas, except for the Trapinch in the beginning.
-They brought back the VS screen! Although the gym badge spinning with the artwork was/is neat, having a VS screen is always better. Looks to be themed on the type as well, which is an even cooler touch.
-Meteor Falls is gorgeous. Also that Maxie walking shot freaked me out the first time I saw it.
-Mt pyre is huge! Much better then the RSE one, it deserved to be as big as Mt Chimney.
-I don't want to imply anything, but you can walk up to the rocket in mossdeep. And its not as big as you would expect it to be, which is disappointing.
-That sootopolis gym tease. And why couldn't the whole game look like Sootopolis? The water reflection, the subdued grass color. Ah whatever, the games gorgeous, like I said. But yeah, with the trees there, get ready for Juan.
-Pikachu butt? Uh, okay. Maybe the Phenomena now has random Pokemon showing up instead of just a shake? Would be cool.
-That dojo place. Wouldn't guess its the BF(unless its in some place where time and space have no meaning), but its still very odd.
-The dive scene has a mask yeah, and its a Mantine! Love how the underwater looks.
 
I apparently saw in a gif image on Tumblr that Sootopolis likely keeps its ice tile puzzle but the scenery looks very different this time around. That was one of my least fave gym puzzles ever so yeah kinda disappointed.

At least I'm happy with how everything else looks at this stage, especially how much bigger Mt. Pyre looks now.
 
*FFFFfff* that trailer is so friggin great oh my god. And the secret bases look great. ANd the contests look legit fun. And the UNDERWATER SHIZ is so pretty?!? And EVERYTHING IS SO PRETTY and ... UGH the everything is perfect oh man is it november yet i am dead i cannot words this help
 
The underwater scene looks like the ones you see in the Pokemon Ranger games.
