Just look at those beauties.

If I didn't have a 3DS I'd seriously consider buying one of those, regardless of it being the 2DS. The design has a striking resemblance to the original Ruby & Sapphire cartridges!

I guess that can make up for the cartridges being the boring stereotypical grey. Those 2DS bundles are looking pretty nice and yeah, they do sorta remind me of what the original games' cartridges look like as you said.

If only the Johto and Hoenn remakes had the same colored catridges as the originals, thus far only RG's remakes share the same color as the originals...
 
I agree that they're rather beautiful, but I likely won't be purchasing any, unfortunately. Definitely would have bought if they were New 3DS; have been planning to get myself an XL version for a while, and since these are basically that with new and improved features and whatnot, I feel they'd be more worth it, even if they are slightly more expensive, haha.

Seriously though, green looks nice (because...obviously). ^^

Anyway, those special colored consoles are nice, but I don't like the 2DS 'cause I can't fold them. :/
 
According to Gamespot:

"Many of these designs are exclusive to a certain region in the west, typically either Europe or the US, though most are eventually released in Japan."

...They Better bring it to the U.S. ..I would be Pissed if they didn't..

Man, and it's gonna release around Christmas time too? They'd be Crazy to not bring it to the U.S. !

ORAS live play.

A special livestream for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire has been announced. This livestream is an Autumn Special and runs on October 2nd from 18:00 JST to 01:00 JST. It will feature gameplay of the original games by Kosuke from App Bank, as well as brand new information on the new versions. In addition to that, Pokémon Get☆TV is promising the latest information on Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire in their episode on October 5th including important information on Rayquaza. We'll bring more on these as and when they happen

Wow, I totally wish they were new 3DS's or I would definitely buy one :o However, I won't be purchasing either as if I get another console ever it'll be a new 3DS and my current console functions just fine.
 
October 2nd eh? That's just after my 22nd birthday so looks like I'm getting a nice late birthday present. Thank you Game Freak.

Anyways, can't wait to see what gets revealed during the livestream and Get TV. Maybe it could be a Mega/Primal form for Rayquaza like someone said above.

Hoping Rayquaza gets TWO forms, one each for the Primals. Surf Rayquaza is fun enough. But this special physical split now? Changes the in-game "use the ubers for free wins" a bit.

Hoping to hear more specifics about these abilities. And Mega Altaria is my bigger deal. Unless Mega Flygon or Mega Tropius.
