Eh, I can't say that sppf is much stricter than here (and in some aspects it is less strict!)

TBH every forum has its cool people and idiots, as well as its ups and downs, simple as that. Some people unfortunately have more negative experiences with some forums than others, but that does not mean that it is bad for everyone, and vice versa.

Basically taking thing that were originally 3D models (i.e. The Witch from Left 4 Dead) and converting in into a small scale 2D sprite

That reminds me of the time where a thread was created to see what they like better, Serebii or Pokebeach. The guy from Serebii went off his nut because people preferred Pokebeach.

I wouldn't know. I don't usually go on it unless someone links it to me for like, information on moves that a Pokemon gets, but I use Bulbapedia for that anyway.

I can tell you that Sppf's fan fiction section has a number of rude, nasty, and narcissistic people who singled me out for attack. Blame them for my suicidal tendencies that tend to crop up from time to time.

I've been to Serebii's forums before, I can't say if they're better or not, but there's too much green going on. :x As for Pokebeach, i don't really know.
