Counting by colors! It goes from red to purple over and over.

I actually think there's a thread like that?

Well it's counting by types actually lol.

What's a TOA?

Is it a derivative of SOHCAHTOA?

JK. Still isn't TOA inside OT? O.o

OT is the place that is considered the spam pit behind rom hacking, no?

Joke, don't ban me ;;

No, -DeepImpact-. Any spam wouldn't get past the forum rules, supposedly. Take a post from there and place it somewhere else, however, then you'd have a spam-producing machine.

And that brings me to a random question, was the word spam intended to be capitalized in its use to represent an acronym or does it just look better in big letters?

Yeah, I could have an answer in a few days. I guess that's how relatively dead PC is compared to weekends, especially at this hour. Waiting, then.

Yeah, probably. But tbh lol I don't get why acronyms are meant to be capitalised anyway. You don't randomly capitalise words in the middle of sentences so why would you do it if they're shortened down to an acronym?

Spam is actually a brand, the acronym came later when that word became popular as a synonym of "useless message".

So it was a word before it became an acronym, so it can be written both in lowercase or capitals :P

It wasn't created as an acronym. The term "spam" for messages that are constant and block out other messages came from a Monty Python skit where a man would try to talk and a bunch of people would just sing "SPAM SPAM SPAMITY SPAM" over his voice.

The more you know!

Thank you for your answers. What do you know, I learned something new today. :D

And Scarf. That first video. It's the first time I've seen it.
To be honest, it cracked me up. That is, on the inside, I'm not really audibly laughing.
The second one I didn't bother to watch after seeing the second top Youtube comment and hearing about how unexpected it is. I think I should watch it, though-- to improve/pick on my short attention span.

And since we're on the topic of word origins, I find it interesting that the Python programming language was named after the same thing that brought us spam.

Nobody expect the Spanish Inquisition, Cid. It's just how it is.
