Honestly, i think the way people are hypothesizing technology of the future is a bit exaggerated.. I mean, think 2001: A Space Odyssey.. computers like HAL 9000 didn't wind up existing to the level that he did, though back in the day, people thought like that.

Sure though technology like that right now might be in development, but it's nowhere near a release right now.
 
SIIIIIDEKICKS. HOLY CAP. everyone in my high school senior class had one while i was a dweeb with a flip phone. I wanted one so bad but they were expensive back then.
 
They were the rage back when I was in 7th grade, I thinks, so about 6 years ago. D:

I had nothing back then, haha.

No, they didn't have anything like I was describing in that book. I was going more for the whole no privacy thing. Pretty much everything I said was speculation, nothing more, nothing less.

O god I remember when everyone wanted a Sidekick. I never got one though because my parents would never buy me anything like that. I just remember how excited I was when I got my first phone despite how crappy it was, haha.

I remember when my dad had a phone like that, and I'd play the bowling game on it all the time.

I was so pro at it 8)
 
I don't think I have ever heard of sidekicks before. For a second, I thought we were talking about friends who act like your sidekick. Either way, never had one.

My phone is probably around five years old at this point. It makes calls and can text. That's all I need.
 
Wooah like a slide-out keyboard thing? We just called them slide-out keyboard things :P Apparently they're good for gaming.
