I just can't see those things taking off. Apparently they did, but I just never knew about them. I don't have a smart phone, I have a dumb phone. :P

I've finally succumbed to the hype and ordered Y, which will arrive to my house on Friday. Now watch my grade plummet like falling off of Grand Canyon...

I was never fond of those phones. Those were pretty popular when I was a freshman in high school. But they died quickly when the iPhone was announced.

That phone was good for two things, calling and texting. Considering I don't get cell phone reception at my house, I never really saw the addiction value to phones. I've had my phone for five years and it still works fine. There are some glitches, but it works nonetheless. I always saw phone addictions as kind of pathetic really. Some people would die at my house. Limited internet and no cell phone reception. Oh the humanity! :P

Edit: I think my average text messages for both sending and receiving a month is around two. There are entire months where I go without texting and those two texts are probably received. Heck, I left my phone off for two whole months because I didn't feel like turning it on.

Yeah slider phones were all the rage when I was like 15/16/17 almost everyone at school and so did a ton of people at my youth group. I never got one but really wanted one cause I thought they were a lot cooler than a flip phone and smartphones were just becoming a thing back thing and there were barely any of them. I still don't have a phone tbh. Really looking to get one soon though.

Still talking about phones I see? Well since they are the topic I will just say how much I despise my current one. Right now I am using an iPhone 4s and it was a great phone for a while, but the last 5 or so months it has been just awful. It freezes, crashes, I can only run a few select apps before it shuts off and I can't turn it back on. I am so ready for my upgrade so I can get a new one because I am so tired of using this piece of junk.

Strange. Maybe you have overloaded it with apps and files? My iPhone 4 has worked great for 2 years (even with a broken screen!) and I'm not planning to change up for a while yet.

Mine has barely any space taken up by apps and files so I am not sure exactly what the issue is. It's ok though as I can get a new phone soon, just deciding what is the hard part, haha.

Want to step away from iPhones completely, then? :] I actually think I'll try an android for my next one. Whenever that will be. Even though the simplicity of iPhone has worked great for me for quite a while now.

I haven't upgraded to the new OS though. Seems so... saccharine sorta?

Loving the phone chat.

I have a Galaxy 3III which I adore, aside from the horrid battery life. That thing is like specially configured to use as much battery power as possible.

How long is the battery life? D: I heard it was decent, guess I heard wrong.

I'm not really sure, couldn't give you an accurate hour estimate. I usually charge my phone overnight, and then by the time evening rolls around the next day it's dead. If I use it for a lot of stuff, it dies before I finish classes. I mean, it makes sense - it works well considering how much it does. I still need to do the battery optimizing stuff like shortening how long it stays idle before shutting off etc.
