I'm not really for eliminating the imperial system per se, but I wish that schools would also do a better job at teaching conversions of imperial to metric, because I know that metric is used in science, and it would definitely help out later on in higher-leveled science classes. In fact, I had a science teacher who was the cook of their household, and they always wrote down temperatures for recipes in celcius.

I agree wholeheartedly! I didn't learn the metric measurements or the conversions until this year in AP Chemistry. Most of America is oblivious to Metric measures and how Celsius works imo.

Conversely it was difficult for me to understand imperial system when I first came to the U.S. and I still have trouble with it sometimes.

Imperial = medieval British measuring system. It's so outdated it's ridiculous.

Rumor has it that the length of the foot came from the physical length of the feet of some English monarch. -_-'

Mmhmm, I think that's just a myth, Alex. -~-'

My god, Jess, you had the man flu?!?!
You're lucky to be alive. . .

Edit:
Somebody make me go write the next Journal entry for 'It'! Dx

@Roc
I...wait, what. .__.
Also, what journal entry are you referring to?
By "It" do you mean
Spoiler:

or are you just being unspecific about whatever the entry is for?

Except isn't he/it really like a massive spider-looking creature? I've been told that the book is pretty creepy, and I intend to read it eventually. The movie wasn't impressive, though. I:

Clowns don't scare me. They're just annoying. However, my cousin is seriously afraid of clowns, and I'm kind of tempted to draw Pennywise and get her sister's boyfriend to scare her with it. Hide it in her bedroom at night or something like that.

I somehow finished my sociology activity within 30 minutes. Usually it takes couple hours but I just blazed through it today.

In case you're wondering, the whole activity was about representation of female athletes in the media, by the way, which coincidentally has a lot of similar topics about in D&D. So thanks, D&D!

Clowns are more unsettling than scary to me. I don't like them, but I don't go running in the opposite direction if one comes near me.

Some of the movies based on the fear of clowns get ridiculous. I think there was one movie called "Killer Clowns From Outer Space" or something like that. Of course, I could be totally wrong and just babbling about some movie that doesn't exist.

Ugh, I hate clowns. Not that they're necessarily scary (unless it's designed to be scary in a way), but they just look flat out stupid.

I always found clowns creepy. They never make me laugh.

The only time a clown made me laugh was when they were getting beaten up in Malcolm in the Middle. Other than that, I don't like clowns. The movie It ruined clowns for me.

I love clowns <3 I've never really had a fear of them even the really creepy looking ones. I guess all I see them for are the fun guys that can make anything out of balloons.

I admit, I do enjoy the balloon animals. As a kid I was always intrigued on how they made them, and still am.

Clowns are pretty scary to me. Practically all of them are, whether they are those normal looking clowns or those scary ones. Gosh, I am even scared of Ronald MacDonald. I once had a nightmare about clowns, I guess its that nightmare that made me scared of them.
