Well there was something that looked like blood in the sink of the boy's bathroom, but nothing in the girls.

I'm thinking this probably means that the killer is a male character. Though it could also mean that the player them self is male.

Hmm, it's a shame I could get here earlier. But I'd like to immediately put a suspicious tag on anybody who decided to "keep their buddies company". There's absolutely nothing to suggest that investigating any particular location could actually get us harmed. Meaning investigating multiple locations together when there are so many options is, well, rather pointless.

In fact all it does is bring a negative clause into our investigations as it means that other places that could potentially be searched will not be searched.

It ALSO means that a despair could receive a clue... whereas a hope might now. Making it in the despairs best interest to have multiple people searching the same area. Either you were too foolish to see this, or you realized it and did it anyway.

In other words:

Golgari (AKA Bidoof FTW)

You're on my watch list.

Now I already know what you're all thinking. Why specify that Golgari was once Bidoof FTW? Simple.

As I suspected, I received a clue from searching the dorms. A clue that may very well have worked out perfectly with our friend ending up as one of the only double searchers.

Now I know it mentions the bears. But this can be debunked easily when you look at them. They're both white and black/pink, meaning that brown fur couldn't have come from either of them. The clue also specifically tells us that the fur in question is useless. That could be taken literally, but it's the next line that seals the deal.

"But maybe that's the point?"

So a patch of brown fur... that came from something useless... and someone purposefully hindering the investigation by searching the same area as somebody else...

It's all very circumstance and could mean nothing, but then Syn came in with a hint of his own.

There was a D carved into the wall.

What does Golgari go by with his friends? What does everyone who knows him call him by?

Doof.

The first letter of his nickname... a patch of brown hair from a useless creature (i.e. Bidoof)... doing something that would more likely than anything else, lead to the investigation being hindered. It all points to Golgari being a despair.

This is the best lead we'll ever get on any day one, in any game let alone this one. We can't abstain from lynching either so this is the best course of action I can see.

Also, the despair are almost certainly going to kill me for this. So y'all Hopeful folks are probably safe and such. </3 I accept it. I understand that they're afraid of me. It's flattering really.

Hnnng I like this logic. Although It does seem that you're overanalysing things, I feel as though everything matches up here nicely.


I'm holding off my vote for now though, Just to see what Doof has to say


EDIT: Jay, I see nothing to do with brown fur there. I'm afraid I'm not trusting you as much
 
Well it's the best we're gonna get for day one. I doubt there's gonna be much anything else to go on.
